Chapter 16
The Millionaire And His Billionaire Ex-Wife
Feeling extremely dissatisfied, Edgar looked at her in disappointment, and rage surged in his eyes.
âYou are so unreasonable.â
He pushed Miaâs hand off his sleeve and ordered, âFrom today on, you are grounded. Without my permission, you are not allowed to go anywhere. Reflect on your mistakes!â
After that, he pulled Nancy away.
Mia wanted to chase after them, but Tim stopped her. She could only cry and beg for mercy.
In the end, she was dragged back to the Fallen familyâs mansion.
She was so angry that she went crazy. Once she got home, she began to smash things to vent her anger. Crashing sounds rang out nonstop.
The loud noises woke Yvonne up, and she hurried over to have a look.
âMy dear daughter, whatâs going on? Didnât you go to the banquet? What happened?â
âMom! Boohooâ¦â
Mia cried and threw herself into Yvonneâs arms, telling her what had happened at the dinner party and making the situation more complicated. She said, âMom, you have to uphold justice for me! Edgar is partial! Not only did he not punish that bitc h, but he also grounded me! You must help me vent my anger!â
Feeling heartbroken for her, Yvonne stroked her back.
âHow do you want me to help you?â
Viciousness surged in Miaâs eyes as she said, âI want her dead!â
Grace hadnât found a place to live yet, so she temporarily moved into Patricâs villa.
When the maid, Susan, saw her, she was excited and gratified. She was amazed that the little girl from back then had now grown up. Then she helped her carry her luggage and clean up the bedroom.
Grace was about to help, but Patric pulled her to the sofa and made her sit down.
âGirl, you are going to the office tomorrow. Do you have any plans?â
âLetâs do as we agreed before. You can continue to be the president and deal with the companyâs affairs first. I will learn from you well.â
Pausing for a moment, Patric said, âWell, since you donât want others to know about our relationship, I wonât take you to the office tomorrow. Iâve prepared a limited edition Maserati MC77 for you. Itâs your favorite style.â
âAn MC77 is too expensive.â
Grace shook her head and said firmly, âI just need a car for my daily work. A cheap one is good enough for me. If you insist on giving me a car, then give me a commonly seen Santana.â
4.9%
Patric frowned, saying, âThatâs not fair to you.â
Grace smiled happily, took his arm, and said coquettishly, âIâm not wronged at all. Patric, I donât intend to reveal my true identity for the time being.â
Ever since she lost her memory and was lost in Frant City, the culprit in the Smith family. had not taken any action against her. That person probably did not know that she had been in the Fallen family all these years.
It was too dangerous to expose her identity before she could find out who that person was.
Being a smart person, Patric could roughly guess her concerns.
He said, âThe security measures here are excellent. You can live here at ease during this period of time. No one will disturb you.â
He suddenly thought of something and added, âBy the way, Javier has been flying abroad every day recently. I heard that Sergio took in someone who was inflicted with a rare disease in his hospital, so heâs been very busy. Hearing that you got divorced, they were very happy and bought you a small gift.
They will probably arrive in a few days.â
Pursing her lips in disgust, Grace said, âHow could anyone be so happy upon learning about my divorce? Huh, some people!â
Despite saying so, she was very curious. Her eldest brother, Javier, was the first captain, and he had companies all over the world. He was well-known in both the underworld and the mainstream. Her other brother, Sergio, was the top leader as well as an elite in the surgical field and had a masterâs degree in medicine.
If these two people wanted to give her a gift, it must be a unique good thing.
Seeing that she rolled her eyes fast, Patric laughed, scratched her nose dotingly, and went upstairs to take a shower.
At midnightâ¦
After sending Nancy back to the hotel, Edgar went back to the villa.
When he opened the door, the living room was dark and empty.
There was no sign of Grace waiting for him to return home every day, which made him seem particularly lonely.
He couldnât describe how he felt. He had mixed emotions in his heart.
Turning on the light, he sat down on the sofa and lit a cigarette while listening to Timâs report.
âIâm sorry, Mr. Fallen. I didnât find where Miss Salen went. After leaving the hotel, she seemed to have disappeared into thin air. Moreover, her cell phone and account have signal blockers on them. Our people tried all kinds of methods, but they couldnât by pass it.â
Taking a drag on his cigarette, Edgar looked gloomy.
He thought, âDisappearing from the world?
âMy men are all excellent hackers, but they canât locate her.
âSomeone is helping her hide from me.â
