Chapter 26

Part Twenty Six

Their Fae | B X B X B

Ferris

After they all had finished up their laughing fits, Zaelyn made a few calls and we snuck outside. We somehow avoided the guards by lying and telling then we were also friends of Zaelyn and Fraener which was weird to say. Apparently they had a special driver who helped them out from time to time. He already knew where to drive so we were at the club in no time.

It was already packed and the sub hadn't even gone down yet. The club was dubbed 'The Poly' which I thought was a bit on the nose for us but it matched the description of Zaelyn's ramblings. I couldn't wait to get inside! I played around with the hem of my crop top as we waited to get inside. They also had a few connections here too so we got in without a hitch. "Woah.." I breathed as I was suddenly attacked with the smell of alcohol and the multiple auras that filled the room. There were so many to sense and feel that it almost made me nauseas. Supernaturals and non-supernaturals alike were crowded everywhere. Some familiar and some I have never seen before were presented infront of me.

"Stay close to us, okay? You still aren't familiar with our new looks and we aren't with yours so make sure to stay in a group!" Fraener called out over the booming music. I guess Raphael gave them the same glamour. I nodded in agreement and found myself bouncing with excitement. "So what do you want to do first?" Geno asked eagerly from behind me. I looked around and was dumbfounded. The place didn't look that big from the outside and there seemed to be so many different things I could do. "Lets just bring him to the bar!" Xan beamed before dragging me somewhere in the club. So much for sticking together.

Lucian, Geno, me and Xan all sat at the bar and picked out our drinks. I had no idea what to get, as I didn't drink let alone go to club so this too was new. They all had weird names, but I decided to go with something called a 'daiquiri'. They said it was the perfect summertime drink so I just went with it. The bartender turned our way with a smile. "Ah, my three favorite customers," he sighed with a mischievous smile. He was slim but muscular and had slick crimson hair that was gelled and combed. He looked dapper, nothing like the rest of us. His piercing maroon eyes landed on me and they instantly brightened with interest. "Who's this new twink?"

My face instantly set aflame. He even said it with a straight face. "I'm Fer-" I stopped myself, remembering that tonight I wasn't Ferris. I had to be someone completely different. "Fern." I improvised while staring at the potted plant I spotted on the countertop. The man had a questioning look on his face but simply nodded. "He's new in town. First time clubbing," Lucian quickly added. He seemed shocked. "First time clubbing and you brought him here?"

I tilted my head slightly. "You guys know how rowdy it can get," he grumbled, eyeing me off. "Yeah, yeah. We'll just keep him away from the vampires," Geno brushed off. There were vampires here? "Can we get our drinks now?" Xan whined making the man chuckle. "The usual?" He asked and they all nodded. "And you," he said while pointing to me.

"What would you like, sweetness?"

My mind went blank as to what I wanted. I stared at the man for a good thirty seconds before I remembered. "A daiquiri. I think." I sputtered out. "You think?" He repeated. He chuckled, before heading off to prepare our drinks. I turned to the others who were on the verge of laughing. Again. "Who is that?" I asked, tapping the countertop impatiently. "That was Ian. He's the brother of the guy who owns this club. He also happens to be an Incubus, like Zae." Xan informed while toying with a napkin. He reminded me a lot of Zaelyn so I guess that explained it.

"I'd say go get it but apparently you already have someone." Xan sneered with a smile. Smart ass. And I certainly will not go get it. Ian returned with our drinks and settled mine infront of me. The rest a downed theirs instantly, while I eyed mine off. My first alcoholic drink.

I've never fooled around with alcohol but I'm twenty two now. I took a swig of it, expecting the worse but to my surprise it wasn't that bad. It was refreshing and fruity, sure it burnt a little but other than that it was nice. "I take it you like it, Fern?" Ian asked with an amused grin. I nodded, taking another sip. He looked up than backed and straightened himself. He was staring at someone behind me so I turned around to face who.

It took me a couple of seconds to recognize it was a glamoured Fraener. "What did I say?" He grumbled, a couple of ebony ringlets falling onto his face. "Sorry.." I mumbled before taking another sip of my drink. "Philip!" Ian greeted earning my attention. I looked between the two in slight shock. Fraener shrugged then began to talk. He chose the name Philip? "You know Fern?" The Incubus asked. Fraener shot me a questionable glare. I mocked him, giving a goofy look and shrugging while taking another sip.

I might get addicted to these.

"Yeah, Fern and I go way back." Fraener lied, his new sapphire eyes sliding to meet mine. "We're neighbours!" I added. Fraener chuckled while Ian slid him a drink. I guess he already knew what he wanted. The club music was booming in my ears and the constant shouts of the people made it hard to hear, but I managed. "So you are single?" Ian imposed causing Fraener to choke on his drink. Neither of us had time to respond as a familiar presence showed up. Again, it took my awhile to register it was Zaelyn but a closer look gave it away. I need to start remembering what they look like.

"Ah, your first drink!" Zaelyn cheered while propping his arm on my shoulder. He then snatched my drink and took a sip. "Hey!" I called out as he pulled it away from his lips and gave it a weird look. "You could go stronger." He commented before lifting his head to meet Ian's gaze. "Leave it up to Fred to really show of that Incubus charm," Ian sighed with amusement evident in his voice. Fred? They had such boring aliases. "You wanna go dance?" Zaelyn, or Fred asked, looking over a bunch of crowded people, raving on like crazy.  I gulped. "I think I'll sit out. Just for now." I responded while gulping down the last of my drink.

I requested another as Zaelyn pulled Fraener onto the dance floor. Xan, Geno and Lucian all followed suit with their partners leaving me alone at the bar for awhile. I talked to Ian for a bit, who hit on me every now and then which I tried my best to ignore. It didn't bother me that I was on my sixth drink, only the fact that I could no longer think straight. What was in these drinks?

To say I was a bit tipsy was an understatement. I must have a low alcohol tolerance. Lucian and Xan came up to me and asked if I was okay. I brushed them off and said I was completely fine. People made room for a small clearing where someone was rigging up a stage. Another man announced it was 'Pole Dancing Friday' which for some reason I wanted to partake in. "Ooh! That sounds fun," I slurred, shocking the two supernatruals. "Wanna sign up?" Lucian asked with a michevous look.

"Yeah!" I cheered.

They brought me over to the stage where they installed the poll and had a sign up sheet. I managed to write 'Fern' in very messing hand writing and then just had to wait for my turn. I managed to find Fraener and Zaelyn who were all hot and sweaty, much like the rest of this club. The music seemed to get louder as I struggled to stay balanced.

"Are you drunk?" Zaelyn asked in both shock and glee. Fraener didn't look too happy about it, sporting a frown. "I think-" I was interrupted by a sudden hiccup. "I think I had too many daiquiri thingies," I blurted out with a goofy smile. This was my first time being drunk and it didn't seem too bad! It felt good! "You're going to be so hungover!" The Incubus exclaimed. I narrowed my eyebrows and shook my head like a child.

"Next up, Fern!" An announcer boomed, lowering the music and testing the spotlight. "It's my turn!" I squealed before skipping to the stage. I carefully climbed the small steps onto the stage and grabbed the pole. I had absolutely no idea how to pole dance so I wiggled my hips and slowly  swung around the pole causing an uproar of cheers and hollers around the club. I looked around and couldn't distinguish anyone's faces. Everything was a blur of neon lights as I swung around the pole again, almost letting go from how hot a sweaty my palms were. I was pole dancing!

Then it was over. The announcer said I did a good job and apparently the crowd thought so too. I made my way off stage and Fraener caught me as I was one step from falling over. "You were so great!" Zaelyn cheered as Fraener propped me up on his side so I could still stand, just with his support. I was going to thank him when I was hit with a wave of nausea. I thought I could hold it, but apparently I couldn't so I ended up propelling my salad I had all onto the floor. "Right, I'm taking you home." Fraener grumbled before dragging me out the club, everyone else following right behind. Once we got outside I realised just how stuffy it was in there. The cool night air was refreshing and felt nice agaisnt my heated skin.

Fraener swooped me up and cradled me like a child. "But I don't want to go! Didn't you see how good-" I was stooped mid-sentence by another hiccup. "-I was on that stage?" I pleaded, tasting the bile in my mouth. It was awful. He didn't respond, only keeping his eyes locked forward. I didn't bother to say anything else. My eyelids felt heavy and Fraener's chest was comfortable. Being drunk is one hell of a rollercoaster.
