The middle-aged woman raised He Jiayu’s hand and said excitedly, “The young man here is the champion of the watermelon-eating competition!”

The others clapped. It seemed to Su Xiaomo that the corner of He Jiayu’s mouth twitched, but he eventually smiled.

That smile reminded her of a flowing river under the moon.

“Take it.” He Jiayu handed her the spa basin.

He Jiayu said in resignation, “The competition is divided into groups and this is what my group got... If you really want those rackets, I... I’ll win them for you!”

He turned around, pretending to go back to the game.

He Jiayu had eaten a lot of watermelon already. Su Xiaomo was afraid that his stomach would burst if he did it again.

She couldn’t let him risk his health just because she wanted the rackets.

He smiled. “Yes.”

“Alright. Be safe and don’t open your door to strangers at night. By the way, if there’s really a burglar in your home, give him everything he wants. Don’t try to fight him just because you think you’re strong enough...” He Jiayu said patiently, which almost gave Su Xiaomo a headache.

He Jiayu asked, “May I switch it to something else?”

The woman chuckled. “Sure. What do you want?”

He Jiayu pointed randomly at the pile and the woman saw that he was pointing at the foot spa. “Sure, you can have that. But why? The foot spa is nice, but the rackets are signed... Isn’t that what you kids like?”

The handsome teenager smiled. “I just want to know if she cares about me.”

The woman was baffled. “Gosh, I must be too old for this!” She had no idea what this kid was talking about.
