Chapter 361 Her Birthday Present

Wealthy families valued their children and bloodline the most. The four major families in Imperial had sons who would inherit their family’s wealth. But Damien Robert only had one daughter.

Nora didn’t feel so secure about not having a son, and that had always been a thing of sadness to her.

Nora wanted giving Damien a son in order to secure her position, but she rarely even saw Damien, and that made her dreams futile.

Nora was very strong. Just like her father Mr. Paulo, she didn’t want others to see through her predicament, so she quickly laughed and replied.

Having another child is already in our plan. We’ll have another child once we’re ready. Thank you all for your

concern.

Crystal had arrived with Elvis, so she asked her mother,

“Mum, what are you guys talking about? You all seem to be having a good time.”

“Miss Crystal, we were discussing with your mother, and she was telling us that you’ll have a brother soon.” The lady replied.

“Really?” Crystal’s questioned in excitement.

“Murn, then you and dad should hurry up and give me a brother already. I really want a younger brother!” Crystal added happily.

Crystal was different from other children. Other children wouldn’t have liked the idea of having another sibling. Because they would have feared not being loved anymore once the new child arrives. But in crystal’s case, she was really happy.

Crystal’s parents had been seperated for a long time. She really wanted her father and mother to reconcile. In recent years, she didn’t really feel welcomed in either of her parent’s family.

Crystal had a lot of identity crisis. She wanted her parents to reconcile and give birth to another child, so that she would consolidate her position and interests.

Nora nodded lovingly and said to Crystal, “Crystal, think about yourself, okay? When will you and Elvis get married, and then give birth to a beautiful child? We’re all waiting for our grandchild.”

Crystal’s smile swiftly disappeared. She had even forgotten about Elvis’s physical problem. She replied shyly.

“We will soon, mum.”

The scene was funny to behold. Soon, the entire attention was drawn to Nora and Crystal.

Mrs. Robert who had been silent the entire time pointed to the starry blue dress on Crystal’s body and she asked in surprise,

“Crystal, where did you get that dress from?”

“The dress?” Crystal held her dress and circled like a little princess. She smiled happily and replied,

“Grandma, thank you for the surprise. I really love this dress.”

Mrs. Robert was silent for a while, and then she said,

“Crystal, you’re mistaken. This dress wasn’t prepared for you, and what you’re wearing is a fining sample.”

In tailoring, especially when sewing long dresses, it required lots of tedious steps. Amongst the steps were repeated

testing of samples. The fitting samples were all flawed. And the dress on Crystal was just a sample!

Crystal froze on the spot. She looked at Mrs. Robert in disbelief.

“What? Grandma, are you mistaken? You mean that I’m wearing a sample? And besides, if the dress wasn’t meant for me, whom was it prepared for?”

Nora’s expression also changed, and she turned and looked at Mrs. Robert.

“Mum, what’s going on?” She asked confusingly.

Suddenly, the door of the hall was pushed open, and two figures appeared before everyone’s sight.

Marvin and Olive had arrived!

Everyone’s gaze instantly fell on them. Upon seeing the long dress on Olive, the entire crowd gasped.

Today, Olive was clothed in the starry, blue dress that Mrs. Robert had given her. The shoulder straps hung on her smooth shoulders, revealing a large area of her delicate beautiful body.

Originally, the fitting sample on Crystal’s body was beautiful. But now that Olive appeared, they were afraid to compare, but Olive’s dress was obviously the real deal!

When Nora and Crystal saw the dress on Olive, their eyes widened in shock. They couldn’t have thought that Olive would wear the original dress.

Nora and Crystal felt as if a basin of cold water had been poured on them.

Elvis who had stood quietly, not participating in the conversation amongst the ladies, suddenly seemed interested at what was going on the moment Olive walked through the door.

Even though he knew that Olive was beautiful. Elvis was still amazed each time he saw her.

However, Elvis’s gaze soon fell on Olive’s liute hand. Her right hand was intimately wrapped around Marvin’s hand. While watching them, Elvis’s eyes instantly displayed gloom.

Mrs. Robert swiftly stepped forward and extended her hands lovingly to Olive.

“Olive, dear, you’re finally here. Grandma has been awaiting you. Come give grandma a hug.” The old lady muttered happily.

Olive concluded that she couldn’t stop Mrs. Robert from referring to herself as her grandmother, so she moved closer and hugged the old lady lightly.

“I have a present for you.” Olive whispered into her ears as she disengaged from the hug

“Really? Quickly bring out your gift. I’m so excited to see it!” Mrs. Robert exclaimed ecstatically.

Olive took out her gift from her bag. It was the earmuff that she had knitted with wool.

It was already late autumn and winter was fast approaching. The earmuff was knitted by Olive and it was fluffy. It was created to keep the lady warm.

“Mrs. Robert, since you informed me late, I had used the past two days to sew this. Please don’t dislike it.”
