Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 805
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Rufusâ POV:
The atmosphere in the corridor was dull. I looked at the small iron door in front of me and went lost in thought for a while. When the cigarette was about to burn out, I signaled the guard beside me to open the iron door.
Blair was wearing a tank top and a pair of gym shorts. He was drinking beer and listening to music while relaxing on a massage chair.
People who didnât know better would have probably thought that he was here for a vacation.
Hearing my footsteps, Blair slowly turned to me, pretending to be surprised. âWhy are you here?â
âYouâre sick, so I came to see you,â I replied, trying my best to keep calm even though my tone was laced with disdain.
Blair put down the beer in his hand, stood up, and looked at me. âAre you still mad?â
Then, he walked up to me and patted my shoulder.
I just rolled my eyes and then sat on a chair near the window.
Blair followed and poured a glass of water for me. âIâm not sick, and I donât feel anything wrong with my body. In fact, I work out every day, and Iâve never felt so good.â
I glanced at his muscles and sneered. âWhatâs the point of working out every day? You canât defeat me no matter how hard you try.â
Blair simply chuckled in response and sat across from me. âI know youâre still mad, so I wonât take that personally. But there is one thing I have to remind you; donât hit me in the face next time. You almost broke my nose back there.â
âThere is no next time,â I coldly retorted. âEven if there is, Iâll make sure you wonât survive to complain about your nose or anything else Iâm gonna break.â
Blair rubbed the bridge of his nose awkwardly and didnât say anything else. I simply looked at him as he did soâtrying to anticipate what he was going to do next. I knew he wasnât a person who would give up easily.
As I thought of the moment he shot me, it would be a lie if I said that I didnât mind and Iâd just forgive him. After all, he had been my only trusted friend for so many years already. If this whole ordeal hadnât happened, he wouldâve been my assistant when I took over the position as the king.
But now, I didnât know if I could trust him anymore.
âTell me,â I said in an audible whisper. âWhen did you start having a crush on Sylvia?â
Blairâs smile faded. âI donât know. Maybe I had a crush on her the first time I saw her. I didnât know she was your mate at that time.â
I clenched my fists in hopes of suppressing my anger. âNow that you know that, why did you still want to take her away from me?â
âIâve been holding back before, but when you guys brought me back from the deadly curse, I realized that life was too short.â he gave me a bitter smile. âThatâs why I decided to try my best to pursue whatever I wanted in life, or else I might regret it andââ
Before Blair could finish what he was about to say, I instantly leaned over and grabbed his collar. I glared at him as I barked, âSheâs my mate. Sheâs the woman I love the most, and the one and only mother of my child. You have no chance, Blair.â
Blair didnât struggle. He just stared at me with a gloomy, hurt expression. âI know what you mean Rufus, but what else do you expect me to do? I already tried my best to hold back.â
I took a deep breath to calm myself down. Then, I loosened my hold on his collar. âSince you care about Sylvia so much, I think you know why she went to the black market and then left the imperial palace.â
âShe was probably bored and wanted to experience something adventurous and exciting. Thereâs nothing wrong with that,â Blair perfunctorily answered. I could tell that he wasnât telling the truth.
âSylvia might be hiding something from us, and Iâm guessing it has something to do with Noreen.â I clenched my fists. âIf sheâs in danger, the consequences will be dire.â
Suddenly, Blair frowned and gave me a serious look. âNoreen appeared again?â
