Chapter 99
Stronger
Graysons POV
2 of the four Alphas from Seattle had responded to my gifts. They both had stated they knew nothing of
that man and if they knew nothing heâd stayed out of their territory.
The alphas in Seattle had reached an agreement in the fifties that in order to stop land grabbing and
endless battles they would agree on their territories and stay out of each otherâs business.
Luckily my wifeâs lesson of giving proper gifts seemed to have worked. They both promised if they did
see Marcus theyâd alert me immediately and would vouch for me at council.
A little respect goes a long way it would seem. And some bribery.
The other two had yet to respond and I wondered if either of them were weighing the options. I was
tempted to go to the council but that was a card I didnât want to play just yet I needed the spider out of
his hole before I brought a boot down on him.
I sent a second letter to the alphas explaining the situation.
I understand you being hesitant to respond. You do not know the circumstances of my search for this
alpha but rest. assured I will explain. Heâs kidnapped my wife out of revenge and greed. His uncle
attacked my pack member so I killed him then his father attacked me and so I killed him in a seemingly
endless cycle. I intend to finish this and leave the rest in the hands of the Lycan Council of North
America.
I ask you to help and will gift those who help generous gifts. I have my newborn son to look after and
he needs his mother who sacrificed herself. The Lycan Council knows this and will corroborate my
story and give rewards to the capture of this Alpha.
I explained fully the desperate situation I was in with a heavy handed hint that the council would
persecute those who helped the bastard.
In all honesty that wasnât the truth. If he prevailed over me there wasnât anything the council could do
even if he had. kidnapped my wife. Theyâd fine him and if he didnât pay them theyâd act but we wolves
firmly believed that if you lose in battle the goddess was against you.
I wasnât much for prayer but I found myself walking toward the moon pool. I took Christian there and sat
with him, I asked the goddess to not forsake my son and
to give us back the light that was my wife.
Iâd never been so sentimental in all my life but then again what did I know, I wasted months keeping her
at bay when I should have bound to her the day we met. Taken her as my wife then and there and kept
her at my side.
âYour mother is a rare beauty like ones of old lore. Dark curly hair and vibrant blue eyes with a soft
face. Your eyes are ours mixed and darker blue with hints of grey speckled about.
âYouâll be more like her than me I guarantee it. Youâll see the world as a beautiful place and youâll find
your wife and have no reservations,â
My baby didnât wake from his rest in my arms and I didnât want him to. Heâd know a good life in time.
âThey responded.â Matt handed me two envelopes.
âIt appears barely veiled threats still work.â Matt nodded and I noticed the wince.
âHowâs the meds?â I asked him. It hurt with his arm gone and when his b*dy still felt the limb the pain
wa unbearable.
Weâd done our best and the new doctor wanted to fix up the nerves better than weâd been atte
Theyâre doing fine,â he shrugged. âStill canât fight worth shit.â he shook his head.
âWe can always attach a big ass sword to you,â I turned to him.
âIn your dreams,â he nudged me lightly.
âThe New Phase pack seems to have an idea of what he was up too,â He pulled their alpha up on the
scre
Good pack kept to themselves and they traded in technology. They helped a lot of startups in the
human world and advanced a lot of technology and medicine.
We saw him enter on the 509 he didnât stay for more than a day. He loitered on Fifth Street and then
stayed to speak to some rouges in the had part of town before leaving the way he came. No woman
was with him.
We will tell you what we see if he comes back and will be happy to attempt a capture for a price. Weâre
in need of a new food supplier weâve had a falling out with our old one and propose a trade deal.
I was readily willing to accept. It was a winâwin in my opinion we gave them more food and theyâd tell
me when the
rat came to town.
I replied and told him it would be a happy alliance and that if they notified me I could fly in as soon as
possible.
I wanted to see the look on his face when I came out of the shadows. The fear in his eyes when I
snapped his neck. He took the mother of my child from me. I wouldnât be satisfied any other way.
âWell?â My fatherâinâlaw burst into the room and my good mood dissipated.
âTheyâve had eyes on him and theyâre willing to help.â
âGood one of the boys can help them,â
âNo.â I corrected him.
The man straightened and I saw his jaw clenched and a vein in his neck bulge. âI believe you stated
that you have a son now and you should stay here for him.â
âWhen it comes to unimportant rogues. When it comes to the man responsible for the mother of my
kidnapping I believe it should be me ripping his head off his shoulders.â

have accepted your opinion on many things out of respect for my daughter then seeing as we are very
close to apprehending the villain itâs best to send in those not so close to the situation.â
âWhatâs going on?â The pack of siblings entered the room.
âIâve got news from the New Phase pack in Seattle and theyâve had eyes on Marcus. I am gring to go to
intercept him. when they send word,â I explained and cured internally for the twon hall debate than was
about to ensue.
âI live you boys should go. For Christianâs sake of course,â theyâre father lit me on fire with his giore.
âBulmur vou donât trust him and itâs f**king stupid,â James called his father out.
âElis futher hissed in a shocked state. âA couple of weeks ago you couldnât stand him!!â
âYeah until he saved my life for Annaâs sake. We all made a mistake that day and we all had an
opportunity to go help hem and mume aus took it. Charlie thought with his cock,â Charlie went wideâ
eyed. âYou get in the glory of the battle. Mum fed me. And I was reckless,â James started tearing up,
confessing his own guilt.. âWe all made mistakes and if you amd Wim donât get your heads out of your
asses youâll lose the chance to save her again.â James shouted waiting up Christian in my arms. âSheâs
probably going through hell and she canât get out and she meets and all you guys are doing is whiming
that he messed up. Youâre behaving like children because you feel guilty and itâs despicable,â
âJames thatâs emanath like you said we all made mistakes. Your parents are trying.â I felt bad for his
father. Be wa trying to keep his family gether and it was probably tearing him up that he failed his
daughter. âWeâll all go all four of us,â I patted my son and mind to calm him down and was mostly
successful.
âSounds good to me,â
âI didnât think with myâCharlie immediately started to defend himself.
âYeah you did,
âDonât lie,â
âCharlie,â
âSon honestly,â
Charlie sat there stunned. âSo you all know?â Bellooked at us around the room and I couldnât believe
he was that dense in the game of love but considering that most wolves in his position only ever date
their mate itâs not
unsurprising
âYes,â I answered while the others looked away.
âDo you think she knows?â He demanded
âYes, and I think you should probably make a move sand and walked over, clapping him on the
shoulder as I walked out holding my son like football. I was tired of their family issues for one day Iâd go
and take my son for a walk to put him back to sleep.
