Chapter 75
Stronger
Graysons POV
Thereâs nothing sweeter. Nothing is as perfect. Nothing this nearly as important as what I saw waiting
for me as we landed.
She stood there her belly far too big, waiting for me. The time that had passed I could never get back.
The copter landed and the blades slowed as I got out.
âGrayson,â her voice choked and she stumbled forward.
Annette,â I breathed her in.
Her skin was still ungodly soft to r
my touch. She had no marks on her to tell me my worst fears had been confirmed.
She threw away all decorum and jumped up to my l*ps capturing me. I joined her wrapping her up in
my arms and keeping my salvation in my hands.
âYouâ came back,â she whispered, tears being wiped against my shirt.
âAlways,â I reminded her grabbing her hips and without thinking picking her up.
Grayson,â she gasped so delightfully. âGrayson everyone is watching,â she reminded me her dutiful
mind reminding her of our respectful positions.
âItâs too late to stop,â I returned my mouth to her. âTheyâll see us at the feast tonight,â
She was the soothing balm to my crazed behavior. She was the sunshine after the fire had blazed
through the night.
I kicked open our door and took her upstairs locking the bedroom from anyone who might disturb my
rewards.
âGrayson you look so torn up,â she looked over my b*dy.
âI have you for that,â I grabbed one of her wrists and then her waist pulling her in for a k*ss.
She giggled in excitement as I released her. âGrayson Adams. As much as I am relishing this. Youâre
filthy. Get in the shower,â
For a second I wanted to get indignant. But then I decided. âGreat idea,â I picked her up again and she
squealed.
I started the shower and walked back over to her taking off her sweater and then her dress.
I traced my hands along her bump. I suppose it was still small but she looked so much bigger than she
had before.
âHowâs our babe,â I asked her, holding my hands to her stomach.
âHeâs strong. Heâs much bigger now he looks like a babe. I took a video and got extra photos but we
can go tomorrow if
you so wish,â she rubbed her thumb on my cheek.
âIâve missed it havenât I? Watching this take shape,â I looked down at that growing swell on her.
âYou havenât missed a thing,â she shook her head. âHeâs been waiting patiently I promise you,â she
calmed me taking my face in her hands. âHeâs your son after all,â
âDid they see?â I felt a pang of fear and guilt.
âNo!â She saw her misstep and froze âno but I know,â
âHmm you know do you? My allâknowing Luna?â I chuckled.
Even her voice was enchanting me, all I wanted was more of her.
I took off the dirtâridden, bloody, torn clothes and led her back into the shower.
The grime on me turned the water black as it washed me clean.
âYou shouldnât have had to do any of that,â she pouted slightly looking me over.
That is true, but it doesnât matter. Iâm home,â I ended that conversation as quickly as I could. I didnât
want to think about what else we could have been doing these last three weeks.
She washed me clean and eventually my hands wandered. Then my mouth joined in following the path
of her b*dy. I had her in my arms I was going to make the most of it.
1 had ber completely three times before she stopped me because the water was getting cold.
Then again we came undone twice before she fell asleep in my arms. After an hour or so of watching
her, I drifted off
as well
I woke to her sitting on top of me snuggling into my chest.
âIâve missed this,â I felt her tears hit me.
âYou shouldnât have to worry,â I felt the guilt wash over me and wake me up like a bitter taste.
âI know but if you blame yourself Iâll smack you,â she sniffled.
âI am the instigator,â
âThat dead man is the instigator,â she shoved me.
her attempt to shove me. I knew my wife wasnât using her full strength despite my wifeâs small stature
sheâs inbuman strong
âHowâs your nausea been.â I charged topics back to my worries about her time carrying the baby.
âNo new foods have been added to my list to avoid but pork is still going strong as enemy number one,â
she rolled her
eyes.
âIâll have two dozen roasted chickens prepared for dinner tonight,â I declared to her.
âTwo dozen?â she perked up an eyebrow. âWhat will everyone else eat?â
I let out a bellyâshaking laugh, âhungry is he?â I placed a hand on her everâgrowing belly.
âIâll get you whatever you want to eat. Iâll have the men carry you around on a bed, so your feet donât
get tired.â I joked.
Sounds lovely,â she godly entertained my idea.
âHmmm,â she hummed and stretched and got off of me.
âWhat cruel trick is this?â I glared at her taking her warmth away from me only to dance her bare self in
front of my
eyes.
âI have to go out and help people today. I have to teach the new young
ng ones their letters,â she went into our closet.
âAnd if I decide that you should stay in bed with me?â I laid back annoyed.
âWe have duties,â she called back.
âAnd Iâm your alpha. You must do as I say, unruly woman,â I shot back commanding her in a false
voice.
saw her back straighten before she turned to me that knowing look in her eye before she stuffed back
into the bed.
âAnd yet Iâm the only one you listen to,â she k*ssed me. âGet up,â
Reluctantly I got out of bed and got dressed but I kept her by my side. She pouted once that she had
things to do, but only once before settling into staying with me.
She ran up to her baby brother once she saw him but she slowed her steps remembering all he had
done.
âHe saved me more than once over the past weeks. Heâs still got a long way to go, but I believe your
brother and I have bound common ground,â I rubbed her back.
She looked over af her brother the shiniest gleam of hope in her eyes. âIs this true?â
âMinimâ he ralled his eyes and shrugged causing me to sigh deeply. Little prick.
Cameâ she ran forward and hugged him tightly. âOh, I knew youâd find a way out of it. Iâm so thankful,â
she

âGot me good I know,â he coughed looking around uncomfortably.
âBe careful I told you!â She hit his chest.
âGoddess Anna,â he coughed again at her strength.
We got up to my office after a while of her fretting over her family. I do believe her maternal instincts
have started to
grow.
We planned the defenses and the guard. We thought up our weaknesses to protect and where the
enemy might strike next and before I knew it was time for dinner.
We walked to the pavilion for dinner hand in hand our people smiling and clapping as they saw us walk.
I sat her down at the main table and raised my glass.
âI know. I look so different,â I smiled at the many laughs.
âTo have been gone so long was the greatest burden. To be back with you all, safely,â I looked down at
her sheltered
under my roof.
âNo greater bounty could I have hoped for,â
Happy holidays I hope that you all had a good time with peoplpe you love. I was overjoyed to see my
