Chapter 66
Stronger
Stronger
It took only an hour for her to get delirious.
âEvilllll, sheâs evilll,â Jessica mumbled in a sing song voice.
âTell us who you spoke to,â I demanded.
1
âEvil, evilllmmmmm,â she mumbled again. âHe doesnât love you,â she whispered.
I rolled my eyes. âWho did you speak to!â
âI donât know,â she cried. âI donât knowwwww,â
Lilianna walked forward from whine me and slapped her across her face. âWho did you give information
to,â
She cried out again. âI canât tell you, heâll kill me,â she whimpered.
âThey canât get to you,â I told her.
She let out a long whimper. âI only told them little things,â she breathed out her words like it would save
her..
âYou wonât get any help until you give us what we want,â Lili growled.
She shrunk up and cried before huffing. âNo!â She shouted and she laid down on the floor her eyes
heavy lidded.
âThen die,â I shrugged.
I walked out of the room and left Lili with her to torment the traitorous b*tch for information.
I went to his office and walked in on heated conversation between him and Matt.
âNot once have you ever questioned my loyalty and now you are?â The beta shouted.
âIt wasnât easy for me to do but I have more than myself to worry about now,â he nodded to me.
All we knew it was a member of the council now we know It was just a horny Leon but you have no
right to be upset when we have everyoneâs lives at stake,â I reminded him.
âI am your sworn protector and your best friend I need to know if there is anything Iâm missing?â He
straightened.
âAs your other guard I believe I would like to know as well,â Elizabeth pursed her l*ps.
âYou will know when I say you know,â Grayson stood up in frustration.
âIf we donât know the important things, bad things will happen Grayson,â Matt shot back.
âEveryone but Elizabeth and Matt out,â I called.
âExcuse me,â Aarron turned to me with harsh expression.
Grayson slowly stalked toward him. âYou heard her,â he told him when he was about six inches so
Aarron had to look up to see him.
âLeave,â Amaria stood from her corner.
Leon, Amaria, and Aarron all left. They closed the doors and I heard Amaria ushering them down the
hall.
âI trust them Grayson. With my life and his,â I told him.
He dropped his head into his hand. âNetta,â
âYou trust them too I know you do,â I pushed.
âAlpha I swear I would rather die than betray the people of our pack,â Elizabeth pleaded.
A twang of jealousy hit me at her emotional tone, but he was her Alpha she like everyone else craved
his respect.
âGrayson please itâll keep me safe,â I grabbed his arm..
âI suppose youâre right,â he k*ssed my cheek.
âAlright, wellâ¦.Iâm,â the words caught in my throat and I realized if I told them I could never take them
back. Still I trusted them. âIâm pregnant,â
Elizabeth broke out into a bright smile. âCongratulations this child will be a strong Alpha,â
Grayson smiled softly.
âGray thatâs amazing.â Matt hugged Grayson and clapped his back.
â
1
âThank you,â he nodded and this time he smiled fully.
âLuna Iâll get you whatever you wish,â Elizabeth promised me.
âThank you Elizabeth,â I laughed.
I felt a great swell of happiness enter me after telling people I was pregnant. It gave me an itch to tell
everyone I saw but I stomped it out as soon as it sprouted.
âWhatâs been making you ill?â She asked me.
âPork is the big one, but tomatoes and milk are iffy.â I told her.
âIâll remove them from your house and make sure to have none of them on the menus for dinner from
now on,â She nodded to me.
âYou understand that you cannot tell anyone not a soul about this. If this enemy hears theyâll stop at
nothing to kill this baby in her belly,â Grayson turned dark and came over to me. âI wonât let that
happen,â
í 43%
âWe cannot let anyone else know until Iâm farther along for his safety,â I explained to them.
âWe donât know if itâs a boy,â he teased me.
âIâm sure it is,â I poured slightly.
âI know,â he laughed slightly,
It had been a game of ours he was certain it was girl and I felt it in my bones it was a boy. Iâm more
sure he said it was a girl only to see me flustered and frustrated.
âThatâs also why Iâve been so exhausted lately,â I went on.
âThe more tired the mother is while pregnant the stronger the pup will be,â Elizabeth nodded to me
earnestly.
âI take it you both will see to her needs and protect her with all you have. And you wonât tell a soul,â he
glared them down.
I rolled my eyes at him.
âNot a soul,â Elizabeth nodded.
âOf course Gray, Matt shook his hand.
A knock came at the door, âWell she didnât tell me who she spoke to but little b*tch was crafty, here,â
Liliana handed me a hard drive. âShe stole some info from the informant,â
âOut,â Grayson ordered.
We went over to his computer as they all walked out. I plugged it in and downloaded only three files.
âNot enough in my opinion,â I mumbled,
âThey only trade in lumber?â Grayson stumped.
1
âWhat?â I gasped.
He licked on their trade report to the province and there it was all export lumber. They cut and milled
their own trees, planted more and cut more down.
âI think I know what we can do with this,â He smirked.
Every time we played a move fear slithered through me, I thought of all that would go wrong before I
was ever able to calm down and see the bright side.
They headed out the next night all their cars filled with gas, lighter fluid, and one or two blow torches.
It was going to take them a couple of days to get to the enemy pack, they werenât close by. I knew he
was going to
un them down. Force them into poverty, take away their jobs, their income.
âTheyâll retaliate in force you know,â Lilianna told me as I sat in my living room that night.
âDo not stress her out, âAmaria shushed her. âShe has a life to make, she does not need someone to
tell her her problems,â Amaria tisked.
âSheâs fine mom, I am worried and I know whatâs to come,â I patted Amariaâs hand.
âExactly all you need to do is sit there and eat this,â She placed a tub of chocolate ice cream in front of
me, chocolate had been my craving of the week.
It must be thrilling having a bac inside of you,â Lilianna looked at my stomach, part wistful part envy.
âSteven and you have tried?â Amaria raised her brows at Lili.
âGoddess no,â she chuckled. âHe is not even close to ready to be a father, I havenât even thought of
trying,â she softly
smiled.
âWhy are you with him?â I blurted.
Lilianna laughed joyfully. âHe says stupid things that much I know, but I want for nothing, I am a Luna,
and even when he says the most ridiculously stupid things, I know heâd never purposely hurt me,â
I thought to myself of how she hadnât said a word of love, she seemed comfortable with her life, and
she didnât have contempt for her husband, but she didnât love him. I looked at my stomach, this baby in
my belly was loved so greatly and he wasnât even here yet.
