Chapter 120
Stronger
Graysons POV:
Grayson!
I stopped keeping my arm up stupified by her voice and Charles landed his kick square to my head but
still I called
out.
Annette!
I landed on the ground chalres shocked i had just given up. I had felt her she was scared she was
running, what had happened? I hadnât been able to find her between the divide just darkness. There
was this large emptiness where there used to be intimacy and closeness, all the familiarity was now
hollow no matter how hard we tried.
âAnnette,â I spoke aloud and everyone stopped.
Annette
âDamn!â I growled punching the ground to stand up.
âWhat happened?â Charles helped me up.
âMatt I want CCTV footage again, get me all of it surrounding Seattle and satellite footage of any
forests nearby by
rivers too,â I called.
She hadnât meant to but I had seen her, she was running still in her nightgown from all those months
ago, through the woods, by a river she was drenched from head to toe and she was passing out from
something hitting her.
âWhatâs going on??â Charlie realized before I had to say but Iâm sure he needed to hear the words.
âI think your sister made an escape attempt, she got out but I think they grabbed her again,â I started
unwrapping my
hands and my head swam with worry, hope, excitement, and terror.
âWhat did you see?â James came up to the side of the ring and opened the door for us as we exited.
âShe was running sheâd been fighting she was in a forest somewhere but Seattle is the only place we
know Marcus has been and I donât think heâd go far from her,â I gritted my teeth thinking about him
being near her, her still in the same nightgown that sheâd given birth in.
**Iâll kill him slowly for that
She felt at peace when she heard me, she only has to hold on a little longer Iâll be there soon. We went
to our surveillance room and started scouring over miles and miles of forest and rivers and the cityâs
CCTV footage getting in contact with the alphas there alerting them she might be around,
âIs it true did you hear her?â Annettteâs mother came in holding my son.
âYes I heard her,â I looked over my shoulder. âI saw her but she got captured again in trying to see if
she left a trail,â
âSheâll had done something sheâs smart,â she sat down next to me.
I wasnât a fan of that woman at all and personally thought she was going to get in the way but this was
her only daughter I wasnât going to tell her to leave.
Hours and hours went by scanning and scouring over trees once or twice weâd thought weâd seen her
but it was either a shadow or a hiker. Maybe it was all in my head? What if I was so desperate to see
my wife safe again I had thought up her voice so convincingly?
I needed proof she had gotten out somehow some way. I had to know she was out there if anyone
could do it she could she was so strong and steadfast in a challenging time she never faltered she
wouldnât let herself.
More and more hours dragged by Theo fell asleep first as we kept going over the twenty some screens
in the room. All of us going over every corner of the screen looking for any trace of her. You would think
that all these cameras everywhere would help but right now it felt like it was making everything more
difficult.
How could I find her in all of this how could I hope some hunk of metal in the sky was going to just
happen to find her for me. I know she was trying but I needed more. I needed just a little more from her
and then I could help.
It was morning again and I was holding my son feeding him as I went over footage in Seattle. I was
scouring the cameras around my fathers office building.
He entered his palace precisely at seven in the morning, what a well oiled machine. My mind reeled for
a second. What was he doing at work? Wouldnât he be taking care of Annette? Trying to keep her
under lock and key after an escape?
He probably doesnât know then. He will soon. What if I track him? I could track him and see if he met
with Marcus soon, Marcus had Annette that was certain.
I spent the day holding my son starring at the tv screen trying to get a glimpse of my father to see if he
had left yet, see if was angry. On and on the black and white screens laughed at me waiting for me to
slowly go mad. I wouldnât give up ever, Iâll stay here for months until I find the image of her proving
sheâd escaped.
âCome on darling,â I whispered she wonât just go back quietly, where is she?
Eventually my father did leave his building and it was late but he didnât look angry and he went straight
to his penthouse. I sat at the desk and went over more forest photos looking again and and again to
see if sheâd been
captured. It was doubtful and pointless at this rate but it was something I could do.
âGrayson!â Matt barged into the room with his tablet in his hand and he sprang the image up in the
screen.
All of us jumping in our feet starring waiting for the video to load.
âBenny sent this to us five minutes ago,â an elevator camera came up on the screen.
Then like a miracle she jumped into the frame looking up at the camera and nd stared right at me. She
wasnât looking at the camera she was making sure Iâd seen her.
Two large arms wrenched in the elevator and she clawed, hit and kicked at him fighting like a banshee
to get away from him scratching at his eyes.
âSheâs alive,â her mother whispered crying tears of joy and sat down back in her chair silently weeping.
âIâll kill that mother fucker,â James said across the room glaring at the beast of a man dragging away his
sister.
âIâve got you baby,â I motioned and we got into all of the cameras in the hotel, most of them were
working but one floor and the restaurant. Thatâs where she was no doubt.
âI want the cameras in the parking garage,â I ordered. Theyâd have to leave and soon Iâd find her. Soon,
soon sheâd be back to me. To us.
