Chapter 445
QT: Against My Will
445 7.69 â Jullietâs POV â War Of The Wickeds
Julliet let Silvia heal her finger without a change in expression, silent about her pain-as if talking about such things would result in greater punishment.
She was the only Alpha in her clan besides her great grandfather â both her parents and siblings were all discarded betas. She was a one-in-a-million case, a miracle, so it became even more important that she learned how to be a great alpha at an early age.
Julietâs great grandfather had been drilling a vision to her from the time she could talk, a vision of a legendary Alpha. But since she grew up with her parents and siblings, she became exactly the opposite of what he wished for.
His constant presence was one way he controlled her life; another was his endless reminders of being perfect in everything she did. She didnât want to become Liam to feed his ego, but every time she showed a sign of softness, he would do things worse than cutting off a finger, âWhy the pinky finger?â
âWhat...?â The moment Silvia touched the wound, there wasnât much blood left over, which meant she healed the wound really quickly. She also didnât know why Bing Shi chose to attack such a random place until she recollected one of her lectures, âLittle pinky is the weakest finger but at the same time, itâs responsible for fifty percent of your hand strength. Isnât it interesting?â
Ziek stood at a distance from everyone else, his arms crossed over his chest, watching Silvia carefully. For a moment, he thought it was Dai An fighting against Julliet, but his wife decided to flee faster than he could confirm it.
âI didnât know your healing ability has an offensive side too.â Was Silvia trying to avoid the question? Juliet left a few openings during the duel; going all out on an omega wouldnât be fair. She didnât expect to be defeated so fast.
Silvia didnât know either. If what she showcased was true, she would be able to get rid of all the people who wronged her. She secretly followed ZIek with her eyes until he disappeared into the crowd. She didnât know why she ran after him in haste, causing a large strain on her broken leg.
âAh!â Silvia cried out from the pain but quickly covered her leg, saying, âOuch!â
.....
The thing Silvia always wanted was an audience. As soon as she cried out, the students surrounded her.
âSilvia!â They called out to her.
Silvia turned around and saw them crowding around her, asking her what had happened. âItâs just my ankle,â she replied in a small voice.
âWhat about all the blood?â
Silvia looked around and finally noticed the dark stains on her uniform, âItâs not mine. I just helped Julliet with healing her injury.â
âSilvia is so kind and beautiful,â said a boy from the back of the crowd. It seemed like everyone else agreed with him. Their words made Silvia blush.
A girl then came forward and spoke directly to Silvia, âOh yes she is! She has such lovely long hair! And those eyes are mesmerizing!â
Another boy chimed in, âAnd her figure! Those legs look so thin!â
âAnd her smile! Itâs so charming from up close!â
They continued complimenting her once Ziek was no longer in sight. The reason for the compliments? They wanted a spot in her team for the future ordeal.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Silvia blushed more deeply at their praise.
âOh! I heard your family went bankrupt. Donât tell me you have no money left. You should borrow some from us!â Some looked at her with concern while some wanted to see Silvia slip down the drain.
A girl showed a doubting expression, âShe canât be poor as that Elera, could she? That girl is so poor that she canât even afford a decent meal. Her clothes are too worn out to wear in public. She probably doesnât even have enough money to buy herself a new one.â None of them knew that Elera was the owner of a successful fashion brand.
The students immediately started talking among themselves about Silviaâs financial situation.âItâs true I saw it in the news. The LeClére family is bankrupt and in debt! Can you imagine how poor she is now?â
âThatâs awful! Poor Silvia!â
They continued to talk amongst themselves about Silviaâs predicament. Some of the students were visibly shaken while others were laughing in their hearts.
Silviaâs face became redder by the second. She tried to ignore the conversation happening around her but when she couldnât take anymore, she shouted, âItâs not true!â
There was silence. Everyone stared at her in shock.
Silvia pointed her finger at the student who had spoken to her. âWho said I was bankrupt? Who said that I canât even pay for my own food?â
âWha-what?â a male student stammered.
âYou thought I was poor? That I donât have enough money to eat? But Iâm not! Iâm rich! Iâm rich!â
Everyone gasped in surprise, âReally?â
âAbsolutely!â Silvia laughed at their stunned expressions, not realizing what a pit she was digging for herself.
The students began to whisper among themselves, doubting Silviaâs words.
âWell, I really have some spare wealth. My dear friend was one of the most successful businessmen in the whole country. I inherited his fortune when he passed away a few days ago.â
âA friend?â Some of the students looked disappointed. âYou must be very lucky to have such a generous friend.â
Silvia took advantage of this opportunity to talk about Ru Quan to impress the students. âYou shouldâve seen the way he treated me! He lavished all kinds of gifts on me. He was so kind and generous! We were so close! In fact, he was planning to propose to me next month!â
âHow unfortunate,â The students were suddenly excited again. âWas he handsome?â
âHe was so tall and elegant!â Silvia lied about Ru Quanâs appearance as well. He had already died, she only had to find a way to get a hold of his fortune.
The students didnât really admire Silvia, but they all hid it well enough from her, only when she was being too laughable would their questions be like a double-sided sword, âWas he really that wealthy? How come we never heard of him?â
Silvia liked the feeling of victory and having the crowd applaud her, loving the thrill of being admired by everyone. âIt must be because youâve been looking at a wrong place. His companyâs stocks skyrocketed every year.â
