Nishith was very busy at his office attending meetings back to back and finishing up the paper work. But he didn't let go of the thoughts of Samaira from his mind. Their past memories kept hovering above in his mind.In the late afternoon, he got the notification of the reminder stating him to attend Ved's Annual Day program at his School. He grabbed his blazer from the headrest and set out at once towards Ved's School.After a journey of around half an hour, he finally reached the School and parked his vehicle. " GREENFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOL "The bold letters shone in black and golden colours . Nishith entered the beautifully decorated campus and was warmly welcomed by the hostess. Then he was guided by the volunteers to the venue . After a short walk through the elegantly decorated stairs that resembled clouds from heaven , he reached the auditorium. The entrance of the door was decorated with ombre balloons. Nishith went in and occupied a seat in the second line just near the stage.The stage and backdrop formed an enchanted garden. With box hedges at the front of the stage and a grassy backdrop, it formed a heavenly look for the children as well as the audience. The school logo was hanging at the front. Planters and flower pots placed around the stage added warmth and created an eco friendly environment. The elegant hanging flower pots strung everywhere with bright lights made the environment look classy and beautiful. The variety of fairy lights illuminated the stage and provided an elegant touch . The focusing lights created shadows that presented a dramatic effect in the school annual day.Soon, the program started with the official addressing of the School Principal followed by other guests who presided over the meeting. After lamp lighting, the cultural programs went in a flow. The kiddos performed their cute and impressive dance and drama. In between some participants delivered inspiring speech before the audience . One of them was Ved." Now I call on the stage , our last student of this speech competition, Ved  Oberoi ." ,  The Anchor called out his name .At that time, Nishith smiled brightly and looked up at the stage hearing the name of his son. He clapped his hands loudly from among the audience.Just then Ved came upon the stage and stood in the spotlight. " Hii... My name is Ved Oberoi. My topic is  ' My favourite superhero '. My favourite superhero  is  not  Superman, Spiderman, Batman or even Shaktimaan. But he is one man and that's my father, Mr. Nishith Oberoi. " , Nishith gets emotional hearing these words from his son.Ved continues his speech."My dad works so hard for our family. We knew he always would. He holds my mother in his arms every morning and that makes me feel so good. He taught me right from wrong ; to be good and strong. He brings so much joy on my face and so much love to mom. I love him more than anything and no one can take his place . I want to be his son always on this earth and even in space. Today in front of everyone, I want to tell him that : Daddy , you are my hero and I am proud to say that. " The speech ended and the audience applauded in unison. The Auditorium got filled with loud claps and cheers of the audience . Nishith sitting among the audience was in tears. He was emotionally touched by the words spoken by Ved today . He had never thought such a small child of five years would present such a heart warming speech. At that moment he realised his son's heartfelt love for him. His eyes got narrowed and breamed with tear droplets shinning in the focusing lights. The drops of tears asked for permission to gush out of his eyes down his face.
