See Me | Minsung
"Just to let you know in advance, it is not gonna be anything great therein." Minho looked up at Han while unlocking the shutter door.
"I'll decide that." Han's focus was solely on the lock that Minho had just put the key in. That looked way too rusty.
'Seems like hyung had not opened this in a while."
"The last time it was open was back in my college days so I can safely say that it has been a few years since I myself last went inside." Minho said while unlocking the other side as if he heard Han's thoughts.
A musty smell entered their nostrils as Minho pushed open the shutter door. The garage was tacky with a lot of cobwebs spread across the room. There was a rusted metal shelf on the left side of the garage with a lot of vehicle spares on it, the name and use of which was unknown to Han. On the right side, were wooden stairs which led to a small slab encased by a glass wall created on the front wall of the garage on which a table and a chair with a small cupboard was kept and it still was spacious enough for a person to walk by. There was a poster of One direction on one side of the table and other side was 2PM's A.D.T.O.Y Poster. A small music speaker was set on the table and a pile of books was kept on its either sides with a pen stand on the left side. Below the stairs were a plenty of photo frames hanged each reminiscing a different memory of his life to Minho. Overall, the garage looked extremely vintage.
However, this wasn't what caught Han's attention. His sole focus since he entered the garage was the big black cover in the middle of the garage covering a supposedly bike. He traced his fingers on the cover and immediately wiped it off on his black pants as soon as he realised the dirt covering his fingers.
"Told ya, it wasn't anything extravagant." Minho said while rubbing his neck embarassed. This was the second time Minho was showing something to Han and it was even worse than his last one.
"Hyung, can we remove the cover. I wanna see it." Han said totally amused with the vibe of the garage.
"Only if you don't mind." Han quickly added getting out of his ecstatic state.
Minho was about to say that it would be dusty and rusty so there's no point uncovering it but Han's enraptured vision told him to do otherwise. Minho slowly uncovered the bike in order to not let the dust fly everywhere.
It was simple to say that Han was awestruck.
"Woahhhhh!" Nothing except this came out of Han's mouth as he admired the beauty in front of him.
Five minutes passed by with Han noticing every tiny details of the bike. Minho chuckled finding Han extremely adorable.
"You want to drive that?" The elder said amused.
"Naah!! This looks as heavy as me...
But I do wanna ride. Would YOU take me on a ride?"
Han's innocent question triggered the filth in Minho's brain remembering that one particular song and he coughed violently.
"You don't have to. I was kidding." Han said once Minho recovered dismissing his previous request.
"No, I didn't mean it like that. I mean we can go on a drive on this but I have not driven in it a while so I'm not confident enough."
"We can ride it in the night then. The roads would be empty. It'll be fun."
'I swear I shouldn't have heard that song on repeat last night. ' Minho mentally facepalmed.
"Anything you want, bun!"
-
"You sure you're comfortable in this outfit." Minho asked for the umpteenth time.
"Yes, hyung. Besides the looks, I love how it smells."
Minho cleared his throat audibly before wearing his own helmet. He sat on the bike and indicated with his head for Han to sit.
Han sat on the bike rather awkwardly with a stiff back and his palm tightly holding the handle backside.
"What are you doing?"
"Huhh?"
"Hold me properly, idiot, or you'll fall down." Saying this, Minho pulled Han's arms and wrapped it around his torso.
With the very first gear Minho pulled, Han understood why the elder asked him to hold him tightly. He could feel his vision blurring at the speed the bike was moving at. He didn't even realise when they left the city behind.
-
"Haaaah!!!!"Han took a deep breath after putting down his chopsticks and continued,"I feel so damn alive!!!"
Minho just smiled fondly while chewing his hot instant ramen that they were having at a convenience store in the middle of the night, courtesy to Han's sudden wish to eat something warm and soupy.
"You didn't tell me though. You look like we're going somewhere." Han questioned
"We are. Wanna show you the prettiest sunrise."
"Really?"
"Yupp!!"
-
"That's my first time here!"
"Really? That's a first. I never thought that there could be anyone who has not been here in Korea?"
"Well, I was your typical nerd introvert. Either studying or lying on my bed scrolling Instagram like a couch potato."
"No ways. I have totally seen you as a goofball with your friends?"
"Huh?? When?"
"Uhh- remember we went to your friend Sia's engagement party?"
"Oh!! By the way, her wedding is there next week. Can you please clear you schedule next Thursday?"
"Sure thing. I don't think I have anything major planned that day."
"Um- you do." Han unconsciously laced his fingers into Minho's making the elder's heart skip a beat.
Unaware of it, Han continued,"That meeting with Bruskin International is on Thursday."
"No worries. I'll have it rescheduled."
"They won't be mad, right? I don't want you to suffer any losses."
The sudden stiffness in Minho's body immediately left with Han's innocent question.
"Real life is not like those dramas that you watch, love. People in real life understand that there can be emergencies." Minho chuckled.
The sudden pet name sent butterflies in Han's stomach. Minho couldn't see due to his emotional turmoil otherwise he would have fallen again for this blushing Han Jisung. The younger suddenly got conscious of his intertwined fingers with Minho's.
He loosened his grasp but Minho immediately caught his palm back against his own.
"God, it is so cold!! Remind me to get an extra jacket when we come back again." Minho said loudly and increased his pace to fight the embarassment. Yes, he was embarassed but in no way was he letting go that hand anytime soon.
"Hyung, slower! I'm afraid of heights."
Right now, the duo was on the suspension bridge connecting to the Daewangam Park heading towards the shoreline to enjoy the sunrise.
The sun started hitting the rocks and the water beneath leaving orangish hues. The sound of the waves from the fresh blue bringing the utmost calmness to the boys' hearts. They did not have much of words exchange and indulged themselves with serenity of the pretty scenery in front of them.
Thoughts?
