Chapter 34
The Bad Boy And The Mermaid
Hunter I woke up the next morning with Blue snoring softly and snuggled in the crook between my arm and neck, her delicate little hands holding me in the middle possessively. I stared at her wondering if Blue had really married me last night or perhaps it had all been a dream.
I dared a look at the grandfather clock near the hearth. It was a little after ten am. I dreaded thinking about college and all the notes that Iâd have to borrow from someone to keep up. I decided to compartmentalize any discouraging thoughts about college and concentrate on the bliss I was currently living in.
I hadnât felt so fucking sated in like forever. It was like a missing piece of me had come back. I brushed a stray lock away from her ear and kissed her there.
She murmured something under her breath, clenching me more tightly. Slowly, making sure I wasnât going to wake her up I took her hand off my body and laid it back on the mattress gingerly. I reached for the phone on the bedside table and dialed the number connecting to Steveâs room.
I spoke softly on the phone making sure not to wake up my bride, âSteve, do you have the items I told you to buy for me yesterday?â
âYes, sir.â Came the butlerâs response.
âCan you bring them to my room upstairs?â
âCertainly, sir.â
âMy wifeâs still asleep so when youâre here, knock only once and make sure itâs as light as an antâs feet on wooden floorboards.â
There was a disturbing silence on the other end. âYes, sir.â
âGood,â I said. âTell Mary-Alix to prepare a lunch to-go. Some sandwiches, mini pizzas, and sliced fresh fruits. Oh and, a nice chilled lemonade.â
âPardon, sir, are you going somewhere?â He asked.
âWe will take a small picnic by the river banks.â
âI will pass on your instructions to the cook.â
I pulled on my satin robe and settled down in the single leather chair beside the bed, and noticed the box of truffles half empty. Blue must have eaten most of it. I recalled the second time that Iâd made love to her last night when Iâd smeared some of the truffles over her body and licked it off her skin.
Iâd never loved chocolate so much.
Even thinking of it was making me hard again.
Blue had proven to be more passionate than I would have imagined. Her innocent pleas to give her pleasure made me giddy, any other normal woman would have been embarrassed but once Blue had gotten the taste of what sex was like, she was insatiable.
We had ended up falling asleep at four a.m in the morning, at the crack of dawn.
I heard some footsteps outside but there was no knock on the door. How long did it take Steve to get the things Iâd asked him? Iâd waited for the past fifteen minutes. Feeling impatient, I walked to the bedroom door, opened it and peered out. Steve was standing there with the bag of supplies.
âI told you to knock. What were you doing standing there?â I asked.
Steve shrugged, âyou told me to knock as softly as an antâs feet on wooden floorboards.â
I looked heavenward and snatched the stuff from his hand. âThanks. Tell Mary-Alix about lunch.â I informed the Butler and shut the door behind me.

Blue The bed was empty beside me. I could feel it.
Feeling panicked, I started to sit up, calling out his name when a voice stopped me.
âBlue, love, Iâm sitting right here.â Hunterâs soothing voice informed me, âLay back in bed again.â
I complied, keeping my eyes closed. I turned around in bed with my body facing the ceiling. I pulled my knees up and spread my legs, wide. Maybe he wanted to make love to me again. I loved it, the feeling of Hunter moving inside me and making those sounds.
Iâd read somewhere a good wife did whatever her husband asked her to, especially in his bed. A good husband did the same as well, listen and obey to his wifeâs whims. Iâd realized Hunter had more of a domineering streak that I adored.
Instead of feeling him enter me, I heard the sound of laughter. My eyes shot open to find him seated by the hearth, wearing a maroon satin robe, his long legs spread out in front of him. His golden-brown hair was shining in the sunlight that was streaming from the drapes. He had a white drawing board placed on his lap, his fingers moved with leisure in graceful strokes, and his silver eyes watched me intently. His mouth was moving, oh no, he was eating something.
My chocolates.
Feeling panicked, I said, âthose are mine! You canât eat them!â
âWill you close your legs for me, love?â He asked. âI want you lying on your stomach, eyes closed.â
âYouâre telling me to close my legs now but you spent countless hours last night telling me to keep them open.â I said, âWhatâs wrong, Hunter? Have you become bored with me already?â
He laughed again, the kind of sound I loved hearing. âThe sight of your open legs is a delightful scene, believe me, but Iâm feeling oddly inspired this morning.â
âInspired to do what?â I asked rolling on my stomach the way he wanted.
âInspired to paint you, my gorgeous wife,â
âYouâre painting me?!â I exclaimed and sat up again. âShow it to me!â
He narrowed his eyes at me, and in a mocking demanding voice, he said, âBack in bed. On your stomach. Now. And donât make me tell you twice.â
âOr what?â I asked, daring him.
âOr youâll spend the rest of your day on your back letting me do wicked things to you.â He said jokingly, but the devilish glint in the silver of her eyes told me he was making a promise.
âAnd do you hear me complaining?â I asked.
âGoddamn, what happened to my innocent mermaid girl? She seemed to have lost her way during the wedding.â
I gave him a sideways shy smile, âThe things you did to me yesterday, after that, I donât think that innocent girl even exists right now.â
The amusement vanished from his features. âI should feel sorry, but itâs strange how I donât. Stay still.â He instructed, his pencil doing light strokes on the white-board, the sound of the scrapes of the pencil was oddly satisfying. We could do this for hours.
âI donât think you should ever feel sorry for marrying me. This is exactly what I wished for, and I got it.â
âMarrying a busboy is hardly something Iâd call a wish.â
âWhatâs a busboy?â I asked.
âNothing,â He said dismissively as he stood up and walked towards the bed. I thought he had had enough of sketching and wanted to make me moan again, but he arranged the covers over my back and went back to settle into the chair again. âYou move a lot. Stay still.â
âWhatâs your wish, Hunter?â I asked him.
âI have a list of wishes.â He declared with a smirk.
âI want to hear about this list.â
âWell, apart from marrying you, my wish is to have a nice lovely home and lots and lots of money so that we can have everything we need and so we can travel around the world.â
âWe?â I asked.
âYeah, you and me,â He answered.
âYouâd take me with you?â
âWho else do you want me to take? Apollo?â Hunter asked sarcastically.
âStop making jokes about my brother,â I said laughing as I threw a red pillow at him.
âYouâre my wife now, why do I need to keep reminding you?â he was still smiling. âIf Iâll be rich one day, youâll be rich too. Right now, Iâm poorââ
âSo Iâm poor too.â I completed for him, âThis doesnât seem like being poor to me though. Youâre privileged, Hunter.â I said waving at the fine richness of the entire room.
Hunter shook his head. âI told you. Itâs my fatherâs. And even though Iâm supposed to inherit this house, itâs not yet mine to keep. Whatâs mine is the little apartment back in town and the savings I have left.â
âIt doesnât matter to me if youâre rich or poor, I just...â
âBut it matters to me!â Hunter snapped, his eyes turned dark for a moment and the playful tone in his voice was gone, his carefree expression replaced by a scowl. âI would do anything to become rich, and not with my fatherâs help or his name. I want to do it on my own.â
Iâd angered him. Hunter rarely showed anger in my presence, but Iâd heard from Hannah the stories about his rages that when it started they were endless and often had ended with a few people in the hospital and him in jail. Iâd only seen a spark of that anger in his expressions. I should have been scared but his energy; it told me that Hunter would never hurt me no matter how angry I made him.
âWhy does money matter to you so much?â
His expressions softened as his gaze flicked from me to the drawing board, âWith the money I could keep you happier. Buy a larger house; give you things that you actually deserve.â
âAnd what exactly do I deserve?â I asked.
âDiamonds, maids at your beck and call, huge fucking...I mean...huge freakinâ room full of your clothing, shoes, everything of the finest quality.â
I laughed. How ridiculous that sounded. âI donât want any of that.â
Hunter sighed and shook his head. âNot one normal woman on this goddamn planet would ever say no to diamonds, a big house or a dozen maids, Iâd bet every cent on that.â
âBut Iâm not normal, am I?â I inquired.
The sides of his mouth turned up, âOf course not. Youâre not normal because youâre a Queen. A Queen who deserves the best.â
âI deserve you,â I said.
There was a silence in the room that went on. I turned around to see what had caused him to shut up. âHunter.â
He stared at me with such raw emotion that it made my heart beat wildly, âNo oneâs ever said that about me.â
âI hope that you get what you want, Hunter. I really hope you become rich.â I said with all my heart because Hunterâs wish was going to be my wish.
I climbed out of bed; the sheet was wrapped around me as I settled down on the arm of the chair. The drawing board and the pencil dropped on the floor as he seized my hips with his large hands and brought me into his lap. His mouth came down on mine in a demanding hard kiss, deprived of all the slowness from the previous night. I melted into him like butter on a sizzling pan, moaning loudly, and shamelessly grinding against him.
He chuckled between the kiss. âIf I knew marriage was so much fun, Iâd have married you the day I found you on that beach.â
âPromise me there wonât be anyone else.â I said, âPromise me, Hunter, that you wonât love anyone else other than me.â
He looked at me with newfound love. Iâd noticed that things had changed a bit this morning, I wasnât sure if I was imagining it because I was far too deeply in love with him, and what Apollo said had been stuck in my mind.
What if Hunter got tired of me soon? He had a reputation of being with different women every time. What if he decided heâd had enough of me and found someone else was prettier?
âYou will always remain my only love, thatâs a promise. You have ruined me for every other woman.â
I reached up to touch his face with both my hands, âIf something happens to me...â
âNo!â Hunterâs eyes turned wide, âDonât even think about it.â
He reached for the bed-sheet wrapped around my body and threw it on the floor, so I was stranding him naked. I loosened his satin robe and wrapped my hands around his hard cock.
âI want to see what it tastes like,â I whispered.
Before he could protest, Iâd slipped down on the carpet on my knees and ran my tongue over the length of his thick cock. I heard him groan. I ran my tongue over his tip, it tasted salty. I took him into my mouth and suckled. Hunterâs fingers dug into my hair and he panted as if hurt him. When my name escaped his lips, I knew I was doing it correctly so I continued to suckle. Suddenly his moans started to become ragged and thatâs when there was a brief knock on the door.
Hunter cursed and then bellowed, âGo away!â
âSir, just to inform you the brunch is packed.â
âFuck off, Steve!â Hunter yelled. âIâm busy. Do not come here againâ
âIâm sorry, sir.â I heard the sounds of footsteps scrambling away. The butler probably realized what was going on and thought of getting away.
Hunter suddenly grabbed me up and threw me onto the bed. âYou started this; youâre going to help me finish it now.â
I lay there and spread my legs as I should and he laughed, âYou learned this too fast.â
His fingers traced my folds and I started to lose my mind.
Yes, I could see heaven.
âDo it fast...â I begged.
Hunter slid in between my legs with a mischievous look in his eyes. âI wonât go slow this time.â He warned.
âI donât want you to be slow,â I said impatiently.
âI wonât be a gentleman.â He said in a teasing voice, running his hands down my thighs. âI want to fuck you really hard, Blue, Iâve always dreamed of doing that. Will you let me?â
I nodded.
He smiled, âSuch an obedient wife.â
We had a quick shower together, I was tempted to dive into the bathtub but Hunter said we would have plenty of time later to stay in the bath, right now he insisted that we needed to eat. While bathing I noticed the mermaidâs mark on his arm had gotten brighter and completed itâs full circle, a sense of ownership was making me giddy.
Hunter was mine, forever.
Hunter said we were going to have a picnic lunch by the river and later a drive around town. Heâd fondly shared some of his childhood memories with me, the time when Ryan, Hannah, and Hunter used to visit this house during their summer holidays.
I opened my suitcase and picked out a cute sky-blue dress with red cherries on it. A dress that was husband-approved because his face split up in a huge smile, his eyes glinting with desire. Heâd been teasing me since yesterday and calling me nymphomania which meant Iâd become a sex addict but I wanted to argue with him with the fact that he tried to find a way to keep me in bed too, so he was the same as me.
We were a perfect match.
I noticed the white drawing board on the floor, the one heâd been drawing me on and reached out to take it when Hunter caught my hand. âI said no peeking until itâs finished.â
I pouted, âLet me see just a little.â
âA no is a no. Tonight youâre going to lounge in this bed the same way for at least two hours and Iâm going to try and work with the colors.â
The thought of lying there naked with his eyes intently watching every detail of me was giving me raw excitement. âOkay.â
âAnd then weâre going to work on my fantasies.â He said softly in my ear as we descended down the stairs, his hand in mine.
âWhat fantasies?â I asked.
He watched me, âMy dark fantasies.â
A phone buzzed in Hunterâs pocket. He sighed as if he hated contacting the world that existed outside our small little bubble. He looked at the screen and placed it back in his pocket.

âItâs Hannah.â He responded.
âWhy didnât you answer it?â
Hunter sat in the driverâs seat and dropped the phone in the console. âI told Hannah not to call me at least for three days.â
âMaybe she just wants to talk.â
âIf we answer that phone sheâd going to rattle on for hours and ask us inappropriate questions. So, Iâm going to avoid talking to her as much as I can.â
Little did we know that the phone call was going to change our lives.
