CHAPTER 46- TAUNTING HIM
BRUTAL MINDS (A DARK ROMANCE)
Allison woke up the very next morning, cuddled up in his arms. Hades was still sleep. She sat up, brain foggy as she watched him sleep. So innocent. One would be quick to think that He wasn't capable of hurting a fly. Then all of a sudden, it all came back to her.
Gasp!
Her cheeks flushed red, immediately. Last night was one she could never forget. Not like she had a choice anyway, the Man had tore into her and wrecked not just body but soul. What's the use of even wearing clothes now? She groaned, embarrassed.
She would never feel the same again with Hades' eyes on her and oh never will she ever look at a bathroom the same way again! Not without her remembering the memories of burning passion eluding her throat in screams as He chuckled behind her, teasing her weakness. Maniac!
Now was the perfect time to leave, while He was still asleep. Allison got out of the mattress and was crawling away carefully when all of a sudden, a strong pull of his arm on her waist, brought her crashing back down on the bed.
"Merry Christmas, love." He said.
"You're awake!"
"And what were you trying to do? Scurry away as always?" He asked, not waiting for a reply before showering her with several kisses.
"No." She replied, smiling. "I wasn't."
"But you were."
"Maybe."
"Don't be in such a hurry to leave, sweetheart." He said, cuddling her closer, nibbling playfully at her ear.
"Cut it out!" Allison giggled. "It's morning."
"And?"
"And I need to take a bath."
Hades let go of her. "Fine."
"Thank you." She sat up abruptly, causing her to wince at the slight pain that followed.
"What's wrong? Is someone feeling sore?"
"Arrogant scum!" She cussed, wishing she could slap that smug off his face. He laughed.
"Good! To be honest, I'd be disappointed if you weren't."
"You are such a maniac." She frowned.
"I see no problem there, it only means I did a good job." He smiled.
She rolled her eyes. "I clearly told you I wasn't on birth control, were you out of you mind? I seriously wasn't on birth con....."
"I heard you and I want you pregnant." He smirked.
Dumbass!
But then his smile dropped and she caught the serious look in his eyes that scared her.
"What's wrong?"
"I was your first, Allison. I noticed last night."
"Oh..."
What now? She thought. Did he get irritated? Was he now fed up with her, realizing she was inexperienced? Was he going to call it quits with her. She chewed anxiously on her lower lip.
"None of those sick thoughts going through your head are true." He said, looking at her.
"Then what is it?"
"You should have told me."
"Wh...what?"
He could see the glint of hurt in her eyes and it made him feel horrible.
"All I'm trying to say Allison is...."
"...that I should have told you I was a prude."
"What? No."
"Then what else?" She was getting upset.
"What is wrong with you men thinking you can have superiority over every single thing? I should have told you, for what purpose? So you'd decide if you wanted to take it or not? Rubbish! I've had enough!"
"Darling don't take it that way." He said, remorsefully.
"I'm the only one who gets to say who I give my first time to. It was my special moment not yours!" She closed her eyes, regretfully. "Don't make me wish I didn't..."
He brought her next words to an end as He kissed he out of the blue. This was what he had been trying to prevent since the beginning. He would have wanted to know not because of any of her negative reasons but because for a moment, he felt he wasn't worthy enough to be her first. He could taste saltiness on her lips - tears. She was crying.
"I'm so sorry Allison, I didn't mean for it to......fine! That was foolish of me. Pretend I never said that."
"But you did anyway."
"Yes but that was only because I didn't think a messed up person like me deserved to be your first. Like you said, it was your special moment."
"You didn't think I thought that through already!" She yelled, sobbing.
"I guess I wasn't thinking. Now will you please stop crying already, I can't standing seeing you cry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry okay?" He wiped away the tears with his thumbs. "Okay?"
She nodded, sniffing.
"Good." He hugged her warmly, closing his eyes in relief that the issue had come to a peaceful end. Suddenly, she gasped and sat up abruptly.
"What's wrong?"
"It's Christmas morning. There's so much to do?"
"You mean baking cookies and other stuff?"
"I'm always in the festive mood Hades. It's my favorite time of the year. Doesn't this tell you anything?" She asked, dramatically throwing her red hair side to side.
"I get it." He smiled.
"Oh wait! The tree!"
"What's with the tree?"
"We were supposed to decorate it last night." Allison frowned at him. "But someday just had to leave their manners inside the first aid box."
"Maybe it's because someone decided to leave the door unlocked while they were inside the bathroom."
"How was I supposed to know you'd....Urgh! Screw you! I still have breakfast to make."
"Breakfast?"
"Well it's Christmas, all the servants are off for the day."
"I see, but you do know how to cook, don't you?"
"Ofcourse I do."
Hades smiled. "Off you go then, you won't want to keep your husband starving."
"Husband might as well cook for himself."
"You weren't so feminist last night. It's safe to say you almost died."
Red flushed up her cheeks, memories playing, her eyes suddenly turning distraught. Did she really scream that much? She almost couldn't recognize her own voice and what the hell were those sounds. Urgh! He said that on purpose didn't he? To make her remember.
He's so unbearable!
With an angry grunt and fisted hands she stormed out of the bedroom.
"I hope I still get to eat your meal though..." He called out, teasingly.
"Call Lisa! Or better yet Freda!" She yelled back. "They'll cook you a fine fucking meal!"
A smile curled up his lips at her words.
Oh how he loved getting on her fragile nerves!
'Little miss fury.'
The smell of chicken broth filled the entire house and the kitchen was the main center of it all. He walked in on her busy, cooking. He had never seen this side of her before. The perfect housewife. He thought, smiling. And what was she wearing? A pair of black ladies tight and a tank top. Why dressed so casual? Nevermind, he loved it. Not to mention her dips were very visible now and he loved them. He walked up behind her, his hands covered on both sides of her hips, startling her.
"The gap really does save lives." He teased, referring to her dips.
"You think?" Was all she could say to contain the flush on her cheeks. How does he know all the right words to say?
"I know so." His eyes went to the broth, boiling in the pot. "Mmm that smells good."
"Wait till you taste it. What would you like to have first?
"You" He simply said.
"Wh...at?"
"Do we have a problem?"
"I'm not on the menu." She turned away.
Stop blushing like an idiot, Ally.
What happened to all the hate? Find a way to channel it back even just for five stupid minutes.
"I'm still waiting..."
"Stop looking at me like that!" She flared.
"Like what?"
"Like I'm breakfast."
"Maybe that's because I'm hungry...." He smirked. "....for something that isn't cooked."
She shook her head, getting rid of the sensation. "I need to serve this, you're distracting me."
Hades laughed.
"Sending me away, honey?"
"Wait at the dining table, I'll be there in a few."
"Fine."
Breakfast was served and enthusiastic was one thing he felt right now. To taste her food for the first time. It felt like some kind of mini honor. He thought, amused.
"Well? Dig in!" She urged him on, staring intensely into his eyes.
"Why do I feel like some kind of contest judge?"
"That's because you are right now. Now eat and tell me what you think."
"It smells lovely darling, I'm sure it tastes just as good."
"Thank you." She smiled as she watched him pick up his spoon. Hades took a bite and another one and then he had two sips from the chicken broth.
"Well?" She eagerly inquired.
Hades looked at her and back to the food and back to her again before taking yet another bite and chewing pleasurably. She watched him eat with all pleasure and satisfaction. He had the freshly squeezed juice she made for him before finally picking up the napkin and wiped his hands with it. Thoroughly satisfied. He was done eating.
"You can't cook, darling." He said, coldly.
"What!"
He sounded so stiff that she wanted to shrivel up she die! What was the use of adding a pet name to that statement? Didn't he just eat everything like it was the world's most delicious cake! Then why did he eat it all!
"What did you say?"
"You heard me but atleast my stomach got full."
SMACK!
That was the sound of her palm, gracing his face. Hades turned to her with a smile that only made her more furious.
"What now, love?"
Her eyes welled up with tears from embarrassment but there was something else, rage.
"You fucking scum! Then why the hell did you finish everything?"
"You spent time and effort to prepare me this and for that alone, I'll indulge you even if it's poison."
Oh...But still! She fumed, inwardly. Hypocrite!
Allison fisted her hands, ashamed and enraged. "I see."
"Yes."
"In that case you didn't have to eat it."
"I had to."
"Eating it all was an insult bigger than all you just said! You bastard!" She yelled.
"What? What have I done wrong now? You asked for a review and I gave you one."
"Get out of my face!" She yelled.
"Don't be like this pet."
"Get lost! I hate you so much! What now? You're going to tell me that Lisa was a better cook? Or probably Venice?"
"Wh...what?" He blinked, stunned.
"Or better still you'll tell me cooking is a fucking life skill and I'm not a complete woman without it!"
"Will you calm down?"
"No! No I won't! And why? Because I despise you Hades Lenshaw, I hate you!"
"Oh you hate me? Why don't you come sit on my laps and tell me all about it. I wouldn't mind drilling all that hatred out of you. Afterall isn't that why my name never leaves your fucking mouth?" The last statement was a fed-up yell and she was stunned.
"That got your attention? Good! Because I'm sick of you comparing yourself to others. That's not very impressive Allison. Now come sit!"
"I don't want to."
"I didn't ask if you wanted to. Any more of that attitude and I wouldn't mind dragging you down into one of those bathrooms and this time, I promise you won't be walking for a very long while, how does that sound?"
"Asshole!"
"Good girl, now come sit." He smirked, tapping on his thigh.
Grudgingly, she walked closer and sat on one of his open legs.
"That's it. Now let's talk about what you just prepared."
"What else is there to say? You said it was horrible!"
"What no! All I'm trying to say is that there was too much combination of everything." He said. "Salt, pepper, garlic. Every single thing was just too much!"
Allison sobbed. "I really wanted to cook something for the first time. How was I supposed to know it would turn out like this?"
"There, there, my love" He consoled her like a child, patting her back, sympathetically. "But wait, what? For the first time? You've never cooked?"
"No, I never had the time." She sniffed.
"Work nerd." He said.
"Hey!" She flared. She hadn't heard that title since her last year in college.
"I'm sorry" He smiled.
"We always had helpers around the house, so I never really gave it a thought."
"It's fine if you can't cook, darling."
"Really?"
Hades nodded. "I on the other hand, am an excellent cook."
"Just made me feel worse."
"I didn't mean to, darling. I was only trying to let you know that my skills can cover for both of us."
She still didn't feel better.
"How about I hire you a chef? One who'd take you on private cooking classes."
"Really?" Her eyes lightened up and He was glad, they did.
"Mhmm." He nodded. "Would you like that?"
"Yes very much, thank you. When will she be here?"
"Whenever you want, darling."
Just then the phone rang, it was Vera, calling in with her own token of Christmas wishes and Allison spent the next few minutes talking with her.
"You sound cheerful, sweetheart."
"I've really missed you Aunt Vee. When will you come visit?"
"When you're pregnant, then I'll be sure to come to help you around."
"Don't start now Auntie."
Vera laughed on the other end. "How's your husband?"
"Hades is...fine."
"I hope you're not on his throat anymore?"
"Why do I always get blamed for the fights?"
"Because you are."
"You're unbelievable Aunt."
Vera laughed again.
"Vera?" Asked Hades.
"Yes, she sends her greetings."
"How warm of her."
"You think my papa might also call in?"
"Knowing him, I'd doubt that. Don't get your hopes up."
Roward Doreen was her paternal grandfather and he barely ever called. Whilst spending his last days, living lavishly somewhere on an island in Greece. He had sent his blessings after their marriage unknown to the old man that it was a contract. He and Hades had gotten acquainted some time ago through business related issues.
That morning at ten, the warm sun was filtering through the car window and it had stopped snowing since last night. It's a good thing the sun had decided to grace the daw with its warmth. Hades was on the steering wheel, they were both on their way to Patterson's Children Carol. A yearly event performed by children around the country.
It was one that Allison was really looking forward to. She was obsessed with this season. Hades thought, noticing her complimenting outfit of a red sleeved shirt and a green skirt with equally red heels. She was once again wearing one if those mini skirts that he loved seeing on her but this time she was in black leggings.
All the more worse because what's the use of wearing leggings when it's a net one? His arms flexed on the steering wheel as they moved on the road. His knuckle brushed her thigh as he shifted the gear stuck. It was a genuinely unintentional act but he immediately wanted to feel more of it. Maybe all of it? Hell, damn it - everything. With that he stretched his right hand across his seat placed them on her thigh, squeezing one of them.
"What is your problem?" She asked, half laughing.
"Sorry, not sorry. I couldn't help it any much longer."
"So shameless." She muttered, smiling. It was a sight to see his veiny hands on her thigh.
"You're right I have no shame and why should I when you're the one being served?"
"Tsk! Tsk!! What a mouth you've got."
Hades only smiled in response, focusing on the road. One hand on the steering and the other on the laps of a woman he was starting to obsess over.
"You're gonna get us run over Hades." He heard her say.
"You think?"
"Yes." She said, noticing the massages were getting more intense.
At this rate, she'll have to explain to all the kids at the event why her left thigh had the red imprint of fingers on it. Breaking her thoughts short, was Hades phone ringing.
"Who is it?"
"Your grandfather."
"Oh my!"
"Good morning, sir." Hades said.
"Merry Christmas boyo!"
"I could say the same old champ." He smiled, dimly.
"How are things going? How's my little princess?"
Hades shifted his gaze to Allison beaming with smiles in the background.
"Well sir...your little princess has anger issues and throws hands like an inmate when she's mad. So yes, things are fantastic."
Roward chuckled. "I love it that she gives you trouble. I hope Ally keeps it up."
Not for long. The minute he got fed-up, he would definitely turn those yells into moans. With that thought, A smirk lit up his face as he glanced at her.
Just keep taunting me, pet.
