Ch59 - Be Good, Don’t Look

When Lu Xu went to the makeup room again, Ji Xiunian had already changed into his clothes and was sitting inside.

His slim-fitting suit was well-tailored and made his whole figure look even more upright. The shirt buttons were neat and orderly, and his Adam’s apple was prominent, giving off a kind of forbidden beauty.

“Nian ge is so handsome!” Lu Xu smiled and sat beside Ji Xiunian, not hesitating to praise him.

Ji Xiunian tilted his head and looked at him, laughing as he said, “You’re more handsome than I am.”

The hairstylist and makeup artist standing behind them looked at each other wordlessly, then said in unison, “The two of you are both very handsome. Those looks put together will basically kill the fans.”

Ji Xiunian’s hair had been styled upwards, baring his forehead, and Lu Xu’s stylist had sprayed his bangs and pressed them diagonally to his eyebrows, making his palm-sized face even more delicate.

After he had his styling and makeup done, the stylist immediately took out a suit for him. This suit was the same model as Ji Xiunian’s, just that one of them was white and one was black, the contrast obvious but unexpectedly harmonious.

“This is way too handsome!” The two of them left the makeup room and went to the studio. Everyone’s gaze was uncontrollably attracted to them.

The youth in the white suit and black roses had a clear and clean face, but the faint smile on his face carried a hint of evil.

DR’s advertising theme for this issue was life and death. Lu Xu and Ji Xiunian each represented life and death respectively.

It had originally been planned as an hour and a half photoshoot, but it was finished before an hour had passed, also because of their cooperation and affinity.

“The two of you are too amazing!”

Jiang Aida couldn’t help but exclaim, feeling that she could randomly pick out any picture and use it as a poster.

“Aida jie, we’ll change our clothes first and go to filming!”

Jiang Aida was only thirty-three. Lu Xu didn’t deliberately pretend to be kind, but seeing that he was pretending to be eighteen years old, he, of course, had to be a little more polite.

Nian ge regained his senses and realised that he had actually been staring at the other for quite a while. He cleared his throat, and immediately said, “You have a very good body. Do you lift weights often?”

“No, but I do exercise a lot.”

Chasing clients every day, it really was a lot of exercise.

“No wonder.” Ji Xiunian nodded, his eyes full of understanding.

Lu Xu put the T-shirt on, and just so happened to see Ji Xiunian undo his shirt. The beautiful lines of muscles were full of strength, and every inch of skin was perfect.

“Tsk tsk, Nian ge, your figure is the one that’s good. It’s the best I’ve ever seen.”

Ji Xiunian couldn’t help asking, “You’ve seen a lot?”

Lu Xu thought about it. It was indeed a lot.

The roadside by the car accident, the freezer at the morgue, and other various accident scenes…

Before he had come, everyone had been participating in their individual activities. After Lu Xu came over, the recording finally officially started.

The program staff had given everyone a period of relaxation also in the hope that it was an opportunity for themselves to properly say goodbye to each other.

To be together was fate. They shouldn’t be afraid of separation; what they should really be afraid of was not having said goodbye properly.

This was a ritual, and a mark of their youth.

In their free time, the trainees all took photos with each other, saying what they didn’t have the chance to say before.

There were many who came to Lu Xu for group photos. Even those who hadn’t spoken much before couldn’t resist coming up to ask, fearing that they wouldn’t have any more chances to meet.

“Don’t worry, we will definitely meet again.”

Lu Xu wasn’t a very emotional person, but even he thought that the days he had spent with them were rather enjoyable.

He solemnly promised every person who came to him for a photo that they would definitely meet again. Others might have thought he was being polite, but Lu Xu knew he was being serious. When this group of people reached a hundred, he would go over himself. He could only hope that they would still remember his face at that time.

The show recording went on for three hours. Afterwards, the trainees were given the remaining time to do as they wished.

Being able to play on such a luxurious cruise ship was inherently a very joyful event.

Although Lu Xu wanted to find a quiet place to lie down for a bit, he needed to film an ad. After the recording, he immediately went over to the deck and followed the camera crew with Ji Xiunian onto a speedboat that brought them to an island to shoot.

The speedboat broke across the waves, cutting across the ocean surface in its path.

The sea breeze was very strong, blowing until it made people squint their eyes.

Ji Xiunian was afraid Lu Xu would be blown over, and unconsciously placed himself behind him, keeping a ten or so centimetres distance from him. If something happened then he could still catch him.

He originally wanted to just look around, but for some reason, his gaze was attracted by something on the surface of the water not far from the island.

The rest of the ocean surface was full of foamy waves. Only that place was unusually calm, without even a ripple.

That contrast was too obvious. Ji Xiunian couldn’t help but feel that it was strange.

Just as he was looking out in a daze, a thick fog suddenly rose from the water surface. Gradually, a human shadow appeared.

There was one, then two, three…

Finally, there was a densely packed group of figures that looked illusory upon first glance. They were all staring at him.

Lu Xu noticed something off with Ji Xiunian and couldn’t help asking, “Nian ge, what’s wrong?”

Seeing that he was just about to turn his head, Ji Xiunian didn’t care about being afraid, and lifted his hand to cover Lu Xu’s eyes. “Be good, don’t look.”
