Chapter 45 Nathan saw what was happening and darted forward to step in front of his mother. “What are you doing? Are you trying to hit mom?” He frowned as he thought, ‘Molly is hopeless.’

Molly’s eyes were filled with ice when she looked up at him. She stared at him coldly and said, “Hit her? I don’t want to get my hands dirty. She’s old, yet she’s spitting these insults to these five-year-olds. Is this what you mean by educated? If so, you sure are ‘educated,’ alright! I’m warning you. If I ever hear you saying those things again, I won’t go easy on you!” Molly did not need to be physical. Her sharp tongue and words were enough to fire back at Lara.

Lara was at a loss for words as she trembled.

Knock, knock Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. When the door was opened, Molly saw another face she did not want to see. It was Adam!

When he laid eyes on Molly, his eyes widened. ‘We meet again!’ Molly glanced over at him faintly, not even bothered to properly look at him.

“Adam, why are you here?” Diana walked up to him in surprise as she asked. Adam responded, “I heard Mr. May Sr. got hurt, so I came here to pay him a visit. I didn’t expect Molly to be here as well...”

While he was speaking, his eyes fell on Molly as he looked at her deeply. ‘I made the right choice by coming here!’ he thought.

Adam initially just wanted to show up for a while to impress the May family. He did not expect to benefit from this.

Molly paid no attention to him, unbothered to respond. She just turned back to Grandpa Dave and focused on him, waiting for him to wake up.

Adam was ignored, but he did not mind at all. He just looked at the triplets and frowned, though he quickly put on a gentle look on his face. “Molly, are these your kids? They look bright and sharp.” Molly did not turn back as she remained silent. The triplets did not shy away from looking at Adam as a sense of disdain grew in their eyes. ‘So, this guy is Adam Herring. He just looks okay. Compared to our daddy, this guy is nothing!’

Ben pouted and looked away immediately. Alex looked at Grandpa Dave with concern.

“Mommy, when will great-grandpa wake up?” Claudia nested in Molly’s arms as she looked up and asked Molly adorably, “Is great-grandpa in a lot of pain after he fell down? I’ll blow on his bruise when he wakes up. Then, he won’t feel pain anymore.”

“Very soon, Claudia. You’re the sweetest.” Molly brushed Claudia’s head as she said gently. Adam was treated like he was invisible by Molly and her children.

Diana’s eyes were filled with hatred when she saw this, her nails digging into her palms. Adam did not look like he was pretending to be welcoming. He treated Molly with more passion than he treated her, and she found it weird.

Besides, Adam had treated Diana differently after he saw Molly. ‘Could it be that...’ Diana started to panic! ‘Is Adam interested in Molly?! Never! I will never let this happen!’ Diana started to worry, so she immediately walked up and hugged Adam’s arm. “Hey, honey, what will happen to grandpa?”
