Chapter 1070
The Untouchable Ex-Wife
âItâs⦠none of my business?â Renee felt humiliated. She had tried her best to protect Stefan, but it seemed like it meant nothing to him.
She⦠meant nothing to him.
âYouâre right. Itâs your business, so it has nothing to do with me. I must be bored, thatâs why Iâm doing all this.â
Overwhelmed with sadness, Renee staggered back a few steps.
Jovan caught her shaky body before she fell, and sneered mockingly, âIf youâre so bored, go do charity.
Help the kids in Zambawi, save the elephants, or go to teach in rural areas; thereâs no need to meddle in othersâ business. He doesnât even appreciate your efforts.â
âItâs none of your business what I do. I didnât ask for your opinion.â Renee shot him a disdainful glare and pushed him away violently. Renee was stubborn, but her body failed her. She fell to the floor hard after taking a few shaky steps.
âMiss Ren! Miss Ren!â Margaret shouted in panic.
Renee didnât know how much time had passed when she woke up. When she opened her eyes, her body felt light, like she was floating.
âYouâre finally awake!â A man said elatedly, his large hands steadying her.
âStefanâ¦â She mumbled, her vision still blurry. She saw a handsome man before her, so she assumed it was Stefan.
The man was speechless, and his grip on her stiffened.
Renee instantly realised that the man was Jovan, not Stefan. Glaring at him coldly, she pulled back her hand and said scornfully, âYouâve finally got what you wanted. Why arenât you out celebrating?â
âI told you a long time ago that my target was never H Group, â Jovan said wearily.
âYes, your goal was to defeat Stefan. Heâs suffered defeat now, so what else do you want?â
âDefeat Stefan?â Jovan echoed cryptically. âYes, thatâs true. For a very long time in my life, my only goal was to surpass Stefan, but now⦠heâs just a useless person. I should be satisfied, but for some reason, Iâm not. I donât seem to be enjoying this victory very much.â
âDonât be ridiculous! How much must you take from him before youâre satisfied?â Renee snarled furiously, worried that this crazy man would plot against Stefan again.
âThat, my dear Renee, depends on you.â Jovan held her shoulders and stared at her with a strange smile
