Chapter 22

I shivered as the icy air of Alta hit me. I pulled my jacket closer to my body as I hurriedly made my

way towards the car that the hotel had appointed me. I blew air on my hands as I sat in the car,

"Could you please turn on the heater?" I asked the driver quietly who gave me a friendly nod, "It's

already on ma'am, I'll heat it up more" he said kindly in his norwegian accent.

I gave him a gratified smile and looked out of the window into the dark sky, I pulled out my phone

and saw it was just 3 in the afternoon but it seemed like it's past 10. Alta is beautiful to say the least,

the magnificently tall buildings and different fairy lights on the trees. The thick blanket of snow

covering the ground only added to it's beauty. The streets seems to be pretty busy as Christmas is

coming nearer, everyone is either with their friends or families. Laughing around, gossiping over a

ginormous cup of steaming hot chocolate.

Even we Huntsons and Gretfields (Nora's werewolf family, just in case I forgot to mention) used to

gather in papa amells farmhouse and would spent our holidays together.

But this time many things are missing one of them being Arora. It's been over two months since we

heard from her, although she keeps sending mom a text every Sunday telling her that she's alright.

But I know she is far from that, Henry is no good. He has been drinking himself to oblivion and

partying for days at a stretch sometimes.. well most of the time. He is wise enough not to engage

himself with any woman.. we would have killed him.

Sebastian's pack is doing everything they can to pull Henry out of the dark pit but that is all in vain.

He wouldn't come unless he wants to,,,,, and the only way to make him dig himself out of it is Arora.

Others are at least better,,, in a way, all the unmated people are lonely, I can see that.. everyone can.

Oliver, Clark, Stephen, Jacob, Andrew and Jessica. There is a longing in their eyes, the jealousy that

rises when they see happy couples. Just a few days back mom called me hysterically laughing, said

that Stephen brought a zombie between a couple who were cuddling and making out in the park.

Though it was funny.. it's kind of sad. So all of them have decided to search for their other half. After

years of being in denial that they don't need a mate. Yeah sure! *Eye roll*1

Anyway back to me,

Six weeks back I had to go on a.. well tour but it's all business. Since I had taken a few months off

from critique and reviewing restaurant all over the globe, now I had to finish reviewing them before

the end if the year. Which fucked me up real bad. I have been travelling all over the globe for the

past five weeks. Sometimes as soon as I walk out of a restaurant/hotel I just take Sebastian's private

jet and head in another city or state. Yes Sebastian has a private jet, I didn't know he was rich until

recently. Seems like I don't really know that much about him.1

Anyway he wanted to join me but I refused saying that I wouldn't have anytime to even take a poo

poo in peace and most importantly it's the season where club's makes more money than all the

other months combined. It fucking December! People only now come out to hook up the most and

drink their lives away! Eh but who are we to judge? Although I miss my brute! I haven't seen him

since the last 4-5 weeks, he did once ended up surprising me in Madrid but he had to go away in a

week.. sucks

Soon I reached my hotel, thank God it's one of those days where I get two days off. I still have a

couple of restaurants to review here in Norway, so I don't have to travel much and in no time I will

be back home.

As I entered my penthouse two warm pairs of hands wrapped around my waist from behind. I let

out a gasp, I was about to pull it's throat out when I felt the familiar ridges of muscles. I relaxed

myself in his arms, I turned around and hugged him tightly, "I missed you Bastian" I said clinging to

him like my life depended upon it.

"I missed you too love" he said and kissed the side of my head, I pulled back from the hug and

looked at my man. A humming noise came from inside at the sight of my love, I smiled widely and

smashed my lips on his. His hands automatically pulled my waist to his.

"Where are you going??!!" I whined as Sebastian rolled out of bed. He looked at me with a smirk, "I

know your Erastis is irresistible.. but your man's gotta eat" he said sarcastically smugly. He took his

discarded pants from the floor and wore it, "Wait I'll fix you up something real quick!" I said getting

up from the bed.

He rolled his eyes, "Thank god!!" He yawned stretching out his arms, “I thought I had to make

myself something! You anyway exhausted me!" He said smugly making me this time roll my eyes,

"You're unbelievably” I said picking up his hoodie and wearing it.

"But you love me" he sang following me towards the kitchen.

"Unfortunately" I muttered under my breath, "Hey I heard that!" His husky voice came sharp in

offence. I let out a giggle when his hands wrapped around my waist and lifted me off the ground

twirling me around.

He pushed me on the couch as he hovered over me, "Let go!!" I said giggling, his beautiful brown

eyes shining with love as he kept on gazing at me, "I don't think so" he said and pinned my hands

above my head and soon my giggles became full blown laughter and he started tickling me.

"Hahahahahah-- STOPPPP!!! HEHEHAHAHA I PEEDDD" Only when I said that he jumped off me, his

face scrunched up horror, "I am not gonna clean your pee off the hotel's couch” he said as a shiver

ran down his body. I giggled, "Well you would HAVE to IF I had peed” I sang getting up from the

couch.

Realisation drawn upon his as he started chasing me again, "You deceiving woman" he growled

playfully when I stick my tongue at him, "You naive man!!" I said and rang around the hotel

penthouse yet again.

After we had calmed down I began to fix him a few sandwichs. I slid him his hefty meat sandwich

without looking up as I had to toast more of his breads. When I was finally done I saw Sebastian was

intently looking at me with his face on his palm. I slid another plate towards while sitting down on

the chair opposite to his.

"What?" I chuckled looking at his beautiful eyes which had a strange glint it in.

"I love you so much” he sighed looking like a lost puppy in love. My face heated up and my heart

started to flutter in warmth.

I hid my face behind the curtains of my hair, "You're such a dork” I said whispered even though I am

kissing him relentlessly in my mind.

I felt the warmth of his palm on my hand making me snap my red face towards him. He gave me his

million dollar smile, "Let's go, I wanna show you something" he said and pulled me out of the chair.

We have been driving for the past 30 minutes, "Where are you taking me?" I ask for the millionth

time to which he intertwined our hands together and brought the back of my hand to his lips,

"Patience my little one, patience!" He winked at me then quickly turned to the raid as he drove.

The he opened the compartment in front of me and tossed a blind fold to me, "Do you trust me?"

He asked softly there was a hint of fear?, dubious?

But why?

"With everything in me.." I said strongly and pressed his hands that was on my shoulder. He

released a breath and intertwined our hands together again.

"You know your way around Alta as well?" I ask him after a few minutes. He just hummed in reply,

"Pretty much, I stayed here for a year or two in the past.” he trailed off.

"By the way, how did you get inside my penthouse?" I asked curiously.

"I asked the receptionist for a key to my WIFE'S room" he said totally proud of himself.

"You never aske--"

"Oh I did love! You just didn't give me a reply.." he said interrupting me mid sentence. I rolled my

eyes but a smile adorned my face, in a few weeks it's his birthday. I am planning to propose to him

on his birthday. Just thinking about, tingles run all over my body leaving a jittery feeling in the pit of

my stomach, a good type of jittery.

We soon stopped and he walked out to my side pulling me out of the car. We shared a comfortable

silence on our way just enjoying each other's presence.

After a few minutes of walking we stopped, I felt him leave my hand. He soon came behind me, "I

never thought I'd meet someone as beautiful as the place untill I met you" his warm breath fanning

my ear. He wrapped his one arm around my waist and the other went to open my blind fold

The blind fold slid off my head and I slowly opened my eyes. My heart stopped beating as the sight

set on the magnificent view in front of me. The Northern Lights.1

I released a breath as my eyes took in the lights. The majestic view has no words to be described,

the blue green hues blended with golden and purple lights in a sensual way making the most

awestricking colours ever, to even be described by mere words in English dictionary.

The stars and the thickly cover snow only added to it's beauty, "I-Its the most exquisite thing I have

ever laid eyes on" I release a breath. My eyes didn't hinge away from the view, "I beg to differ" he

said. I could feel his burning gaze at the side of my face. I looked at him with a wide smile, "I love

it!" 1 said with a smile. He chuckled and kissed my nose.

His smile suddenly fell, "I- I have something to tell you..." He told me in fear. I furrowed my brows,

"Yeah?" I asked him sweetly.

"Let's just first sit down" he said and walked back, only then I noticed a tent and a big log and fire

wood placed in front of it. He lit the woods on fire and sat down with his head hung low.

I sat down beside him and wrapped my arms around his shoulder. He was clearly in distress, "I have-

-- I have not-- been completely honest with you..." He finally said after a few minutes of silence.

I suddenly stopped my movements as I looked at him in shock, "W-what?" My response came out

as a whisper.

"Please promise me whatever you'll hear will not change anything between us" he suddenly said

clutching both of my hands.

I didn't know how to respond, I didn't know what he is going to tell me.

"I- 1." he gulped shakily not meeting my eyes, "I have,, a--"

"Dad?!!" A femininy voice said snapped us, "Is that you dad?" The same voice came from a few feets

away. Our heads snapped towards the voice as my heart beat slowed down.5

A petite brunette came running towards us, both Sebastian and I stood up in shock.

"Kristen" Sebastian whispered as the girl jumped on Sebastian wrapping her legs around his waist,

"Daddddd!!!" She screeched.

Sebastian wrapped his arms around her waist and spined around, "My baby girl!" He laughed.

I stood still in shock and dejection.
