Dev's POV
I walk into the mansion, my eyes instantly finding Abhi. Heâs sitting on the couch with my baby and Mira, deep in conversation about something serious.
Jiya notices me the moment I step inside. I walk toward her and sit beside her feeling a sense of calm just being near her.
âWhere were you?â she asks softly, her eyes searching my face for answers.
I smile at her, brushing my fingers against her hand. âJust some work that needed my attentionâ I say. She nods, accepting my answer without pressing further and turns back to Mira, continuing their conversation.
Out of nowhere, my baby asks âWon't we go for our honeymoon?â Her voice is hopeful eyes sparkling with expectation.
I freeze for a moment before looking at her. âIâm really sorry but not nowâ I say carefully. I watch her face fall, the excitement in her eyes dimming.
My chest tightens seeing her disappointed expression. âAfter some time I promiseâ I add softly but I know itâs not enough to make up for it. Iâm sorry, my love but itâs not the right time.
âI want to talk to youâ Abhiâs deep voice cuts through the air as he stands up. His face is hard serious.
I sigh and follow him toward the home office inside the mansion. The heavy doors close behind us with a soft thud, creating a tense silence.
âTalkâ he orders sharply, his tone hard and cold.
I take a deep breath, running my hand through my hair. âFor the past three days, Iâve been getting calls from an unknown numberâ I start my voice low.
âAt first, I ignored it but then I told our team to investigate. But the person calling⦠heâs smart, Abhi. Really sharp minded. Heâs using advanced technology and our team hasnât been able to track himâ My hands clench into fists as I continue.
âThe worst part is⦠he knows everything about us. Especially about Mira and Jiya. Heâs trying to turn me against you. He knows too much, Abhiâ
Before I can say anything more, a sharp, stinging pain explodes across my cheek. Abhiâs hand drops back to his side, his jaw clenched.
âYouâre telling me this now?â he growls his eyes burning with anger as he runs a hand through his hair in frustration. His chest rises and falls with heavy breaths.
I rub my cheek not surprised by his reaction. âI didnât want to disturb you during the wedding and everything going onâ I say quietly.
Abhiâs eyes narrow as he gives me a hard look, his disbelief clear. His fists tighten at his sides, his jaw working as he struggles to keep his temper in check.
âI wasnât the only one getting married. You were also getting married!â Abhi snaps his teeth gritted and eyes blazing with frustration. His body is tense shoulders stiff as he glares at me.
I swallow hard and run my hand through my hair. âI know⦠and I was the one who went into the company and accessed the confidential informationâ I say, my voice low but steady.
âI was trying to make him believe that I had fallen into his trap that I was a victim of his plan. But heâs really sharp, Abhi. He didnât even make a single move that would give me a hint about who he isâ My hands tighten into fists as the frustration builds in my chest.
Abhiâs eyes narrow dangerously. âIf he wants to break us apart⦠then letâs break apartâ he says, a dark smirk curling his lips. His tone is low and threatening. âLetâs see if he has the guts to face usâ
âBut⦠Jiya and Miraâ I say, my voice filled with worry. The thought of them getting hurt makes my stomach twist painfully.
Abhiâs smirk fades and his expression softens for a second. His eyes darken with concern as he glances toward the door, thinking about them. Slowly, he walks toward the couch and sits down resting his elbows on his knees.
âWe canât tell them anythingâ he says firmly. âTheyâre innocent. If they find out about this, theyâll stress over it. Weâll handle everything on our ownâ His gaze hardens with determination.
I nod slowly. Heâs right. We canât let them get involved in this mess.
âSo⦠what do we do now?â I ask, sitting across from him. My chest still feels tight but at least now I have Abhi with me.
Abhiâs eyes sharpen as a sly smirk forms on his lips. âThe person wants to turn us into enemiesâ¦â He leans back against the couch, his arms resting on the backrest. âThen letâs become enemiesâ
My eyes widen as I catch on to his plan. My heart races at the risk involved but I know itâs the only way to make that person show himself. âItâs riskyâ I say quietly âbut we have to do itâ
I move to sit beside him. Abhiâs gaze softens as he lifts his hand and gently strokes my cheek where he slapped me earlier. I look at him, confused.
âSorry for hitting youâ he says, his tone calm but sincere.
My eyes widen and I jerk his hand away dramatically. âStay away from me! You hit me really hard, you idiot!â I snap glaring at him.
Abhi looks at me with innocent eyes, his lips twitching as if heâs trying not to laugh.
âIâm really sorryâ he repeats softly but I scoff and stand up, walking toward the door. âIâm going to find my baby. I havenât spent enough time with herâ
Now that Iâve shared the problem with him, I feel lighter, like a weight has been lifted off my chest.
I walk into the living room with Abhi following close behind. My eyes scan the room. Itâs unusually quiet.
âWhere are they?â I ask, not seeing Jiya, Mira or even Zar anywhere.
âThey must be in their roomsâ Abhi says casually, heading toward the staircase. I follow him upstairs, feeling a bit more relaxed now.
But what we donât know⦠is that weâre about to get a serious scolding from our dear wives.
Jiya's POV
Iâm sitting on the bed in my room, scrolling through my phone. The door opens and my dear husband walks in. His eyes immediately find me and he comes directly toward the bed.
I ignore him and keep my eyes glued to my phone, pretending he isnât there. He stops in front of me, looking confused.
âWhat happened, baby?â Dev asks softly sitting down beside me. His hand reaches out to hold mine but I quickly jerk it away.
His eyes widen slightly and I see him swallow nervously as he notices the anger on my face.
âDonât talk to me!â I snap shifting away from him. âGo and spend your time with Bhai. Youâre married to him not me, right?â My voice rises as I glare at him.
Dev watches me for a few seconds, realization dawning in his eyes. His lips part as if heâs about to say something but then he stays quiet.
He knows exactly why Iâm upset. We just got married yesterday and instead of spending time with me, heâs been running off to the office or talking with Bhai.
âIâm really sorry babyâ he says his tone soft and sincere. He scoots closer to me. âI had something important to discuss with Abhi thatâs why I left. But now⦠my full focus is on you. Only youâ
I try hard to control my smile when I hear his last words but my heart flutters. Still, I donât let it show on my face. I sit there quietly, pretending to stay mad.
Dev sighs. âSorry⦠please?â He gives me his best puppy eyes, his lips forming a small pout. But I keep my face cold ignoring him completely.
Suddenly he leans closer to me. His face is so close that I can feel his breath on my skin. My breath hitches, and my heart starts beating faster.
âSorryâ he whispers his eyes soft and intense. Before I can react, he presses his lips softly on mine.
I freeze. My heart races in my chest but I donât kiss him back. I donât push him away either. He doesnât give up.
He deepens the kiss, pulling me closer by my waist. His hand slides up my back, his touch soft yet possessive. A shiver runs down my spine as his lips move slowly against mine.
A soft moan escapes my lips before I can stop it. He takes full advantage of it. His tongue slips inside my mouth, exploring every inch of me with a teasing slowness that makes my head spin. My hands tighten into fists as I feel my body melt under his touch.
I finally push him away when Iâm out of breath, gasping softly. My chest rises and falls rapidly as I try to steady my breathing.
He smirks slightly and strokes my cheek with his thumb. Then he pulls me onto his chest, wrapping his strong arms around me. My cheek rests against his heartbeat, which is just as fast as mine.
âDid you forgive me?â he asks his voice low and teasing.
I lift my head and glare at him. âYou kissed me because you wanted to not because you were trying to make me talk to youâ I say narrowing my eyes at him.
His arms tighten around my waist, pulling me closer until our noses almost touch. His eyes darken slightly as he looks down at me.
âThen let me worship your body and ask for forgivenessâ he says, his voice low and hot enough to set the world on fire. His eyes darken and his hand slides down my waist.
I gulp feeling my body heat up under his gaze. But then I remember Iâm still angry with him. I quickly push him away sitting up straight.
âFirst you ignore me and now youâre playing innocent huh?â I snap, crossing my arms over my chest. My eyes narrow as I glare at him.
Devâs lips twitch into a small pout. âI didnât ignore youâ he says softly, his eyes wide and innocent.
âI canât even think of ignoring you. Please⦠just forgive me this timeâ he pleads his voice soft and almost desperate.
I scoff and raise an eyebrow at him. âNext time you make a mistake, remember Iâll give you a hard lessonâ I threaten my tone sharp.
But instead of looking scared, Devâs eyes darken with a mischievous glint. His lips curl into a smirk. âHard lesson?â he repeats his voice low and teasing.
My eyes widen when I realize how heâs taken my words. I smack his chest hard. âShameless!â I mumble my cheeks burning with embarrassment.
Dev chuckles, his chest vibrating under my hand. He suddenly pulls me toward him, wrapping his strong arms around my waist. My body presses against his chest as he rests his chin on my shoulder.
I give up and relax against him resting my head on his chest. His heartbeat is steady and calming and I feel like Iâm home. His hand moves up and down my back in slow, soothing strokes.
âYou and Bhai are worried about somethingâ I say quietly. âI can feel it. Whatâs going on?â
Devâs body tenses slightly but then he shakes his head. âNothing babeâ he says softly. âItâs just a small problem. Weâll fix it soonâ
I lift my head to look at him but his expression is calm too calm. Heâs hiding something but I decide not to push him right now.
âI and Mira are going to resume work next weekâ I say brushing my fingers against his chest.
His arms tighten around me immediately. âNoâ he says firmly. âNot this soon. Take some rest first. And even if you donât work, itâs fine. Just relax and enjoy your time. Iâm working enough for both of usâ His tone is protective, his eyes soft as he looks down at me.
I smile. My husband never fails to amaze me with his words. My heart melts at how much he cares. I lean in and place a soft kiss on his chest, feeling his heartbeat quicken under my lips.
âI love youâ I whisper against his skin, my voice barely audible.
His hand slides up my back, his fingers stroking my hair. âI love you too, wifeyâ he says his voice filled with warmth.
I smile against his chest, feeling completely at peace in his arms.
Abhirajâs POV
I walk into our room and immediately spot my love sitting on the couch with Zar beside her. They are both leaning toward each other, completely focused on something on the phone.
Curious, I walk toward the couch and sit beside my baby. Mira and Zar glance at me for a second, then go back to staring at the phone screen.
Did they just ignore me?
âWhat are you both doing?â I ask, leaning closer to see the phone screen. My brows lift when I read the video title â âHow to kill a person without being caught.â
My eyes widen in surprise. âWhom do you want to kill?â I ask laughing lightly.
Both of them turn to look at me with dead serious expressions. I quickly press my lips together to stop myself from smiling.
âYouâ my baby says flatly.
My eyes widen even more. âMe?â I ask blinking rapidly.
She crosses her arms over her chest, her face hard and serious. I chuckle innocently which â letâs be honest â Iâm not.
âWhy baby? What did I do?â I ask sweetly leaning toward her with a soft smile.
Mira puts the phone aside and turns fully toward me. Her sharp gaze meets mine and my smile fades a little.
âWhat have you done huh?â she snaps leaning closer. Her eyes are blazing with anger.
âI think youâve forgotten, Mr. Rajvansh, that you got married yesterday and you have a wifeâ she says, her tone sharp.
âSince morning, youâve barely paid attention to me or Zar. So now, stay away from both of us. Weâre enough for each otherâ she adds her chin lifting defiantly.
She moves toward me and I lean back slightly on the couch. Before I know it sheâs practically on top of me, her face inches from mine.
My eyes drop and I instantly regret it. Her chest is right in front of my face. My mind instantly flashes back to last night. My cheeks heat up as I remember how soft her breasts felt under my hands.
I shake my head trying to push away the wild thoughts running through my mind. Focus, Abhi. Focus!
âWhere are you lost?â Miraâs sharp voice cuts through my thoughts.
Before I can respond, I feel a sharp sting on my cheek. My head snaps to the side as the sound of the slap echoes in the room.
My hand flies to my cheek and I look at her with wide eyes and a small pout.
âIâm sorry but I really had urgent workâ I say softly, my tone sincere.
Mira sighs loudly and sits back on the couch, crossing her arms over her chest and huffing angrily. Her lips press into a thin line and I can tell sheâs not going to forgive me that easily.
I sit up straight and scoot closer to her. My hand rests gently on her knee. âActually⦠someone tried to steal our confidential fileâ I admit honestly, watching her expression carefully.
Her eyes widen in alarm as she looks at me with concern. âDid you catch him?â she asks her voice laced with worry.
I shake my head slowly. âWeâre still trying to find himâ I say. Her shoulders relax slightly as the worry in her eyes fades a little.
I gently pull her toward me by her waist. Mira stumbles slightly and ends up resting against my chest. Zar sits nearby, his curious eyes focused on me, clearly interested in this new information.
I lean back on the couch holding Mira against my chest. Her arms circle my waist as her head rests comfortably on my chest.
âEverything will be fineâ she whispers softly. Her voice is so soothing that my chest instantly feels lighter. My fingers stroke her back gently as I close my eyes for a second, feeling peace wash over me.
But that peace doesnât last long. Suddenly, Mira sits up straight and glares down at me with narrowed eyes.
âBut why didnât you tell me this earlier?â she demands standing up and crossing her arms over her chest again. Her sharp tone makes my eyes snap open.
I sit up my eyes immediately dropping to her chest â which happens to be right in front of my face. My throat goes dry as I feel the heat rush to my cheeks.
Without thinking, I blurt out âYour boobs are distracting meâ
The moment the words leave my mouth, my eyes widen in horror. My gaze shoots up to her face, which is now bright red.
âI didnât mean that!â I say quickly my hands flying up defensively. âI swear I didnât mean to say that!â My voice is rushed and panicked.
Miraâs eyes narrow dangerously her cheeks still flushed. âOh?â she says slowly her tone low and sharp. âSo⦠my boobs didnât distract you?â Her eyes glint with mischief as she steps closer.
I shake my head frantically. âNo! No...... I mean yes..... I meanâ¦â I trail off helplessly.
Mira tilts her head her lips curling into a dangerous smirk. âOh⦠so they didnât distract you?â she repeats.
I stay completely silent knowing Iâve already dug my grave.
âFine then. Stay away from meâ she says turning toward the bed and walking away. Her hips sway slightly and my eyes helplessly follow her.
âOh no, youâre not going anywhereâ I say quickly standing up and grabbing her wrist before she can walk any further.
Miraâs head snaps toward me, her eyes blazing. I pull her close, my hand tightening around her wrist. Her breath hitches as her chest presses against mine.
âNo⦠I didnât mean thatâ I say quickly panicking. âI mean⦠your boobs do distract meâ
Miraâs eyes narrow dangerously, her lips pressing into a thin line. Her glare sharpens and I swear I feel my heart drop.
âYou are ruining my mood, Mr. Rajvanshâ she says coldly. She tries to pull her wrist away from my grip but I tighten my hold and pull her closer until her body presses against mine.
âThen let me fix your moodâ I say, my voice low and rough. Before she can protest, I crash my lips on hers.
God, did I tell you how obsessed Iâm getting with her lips? The softness the warmth â itâs driving me crazy.
My arms wrap tightly around her waist, pulling her body flush against mine. Her hands clutch the sides of my shirt tightly and I feel a rush of satisfaction at the way she holds on to me.
I tilt her head slightly to the side, deepening the kiss. My lips move over hers with growing hunger. Mira responds slowly at first her lips soft and hesitant.
But as my grip on her waist tightens, her arms slide around my neck and she starts kissing me back with the same intensity.
A low groan escapes my throat as I suck gently on her lower lip. I bite it lightly and a soft moan escapes from her mouth, making my breath hitch.
Her moan is pure death for me. My whole body tenses as heat floods through me.
Suddenly, Mira taps my hand repeatedly, signaling that sheâs out of breath.
Reluctantly, I pull away resting my forehead against hers. Both of us are breathing heavily, our chests rising and falling in sync. Miraâs cheeks are flushed bright red and her lips are swollen from the kiss.
Her wide eyes blink at me as her breathing slowly steadies. But then her eyes widen even more in horror.
âZarâ she whispers.
Oh, crap.
Our heads snap toward the couch where Zar is sitting. His face is buried behind a pillow but his tail is wagging lightly. He peeks out from behind the pillow his big eyes blinking innocently at us.
I bite my lip, trying not to laugh at how adorable he looks.
Mira groans and pushes me away before walking toward Zar. She pulls the pillow away from his face and Zar gives her a wide, toothy smile looking totally unbothered.
âMy baby is really intelligent⦠more than his daddaâ Mira says proudly stroking Zarâs head.
I narrow my eyes at her. âEvery time you praise him but never meâ I say pouting like a child.
Mira smiles tilting her head. âThatâs because my baby deserves itâ she says sweetly kissing Zarâs head.
Zar smirks yes, my boy actually smirks and looks at me like he knows heâs the favorite. His tail wags faster as he enjoys the attention.
âOh youâre definitely in more demand than meâ I mutter glaring at Zar.
Mira giggles and Zar roar softly, clearly enjoying my frustration.
âYou both are ganging up on meâ I say, crossing my arms and pretending to be hurt.
Mira laughs and sits down beside zar. I give him a look but he only stretches lazily and rests his head on Miraâs lap.
We sit there together laughing and teasing each other. Miraâs anger completely melts away and the room fills with warmth and lightness. I wrap my arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer as we sit and talk, enjoying the moment.
