Chapter 13

Autumn’s POV

I run into a few of the boarder patrol, they were expecting me, “there you are Luna, where would you like to run?” I smile, Greyson must’ve mind linked them. “I just want to run patrol with you, that’s all, just allow me to shadow” they nod at me and I go behind a tree and strip and shift I follow them through patrol on the outer skirts of the territory, I slow up after a while “Luna, are you okay?” The guard running close to me asks once he notices me slowing, I close my eyes and mind link him and the others “quiet, please” they all become quiet and still, I hear them sniffing the air, I don’t smell anything, but I can’t explain what it is I am sensing, it isn’t anything I can physically sense, I don’t see it, hear it, smell it, but something I can’t touch or even taste is making me aware and unsettled. I focus on this feeling and I turn and sprint off to the north border, the patrol following, but I am faster “Luna, what is it?” I mind link all the guards to head to the their stations, and to send two closest to the north to meet me at the cemetery.

I get there in record time and I see two men standing there, I go behind a tree and find a clothes box, I shift and pull out a robe, I sigh and wrap it around me, I emerge from the woods and enter into the cemetery, the two men have their backs to me, I can smell that they are outsiders, not rogues, I hear one of them, ‘I sense a female presence’ then the other ‘I do as well, do we play with her?’ They aren’t speaking out loud, but they are mind linking each other. I look around for my patrol but I don’t see them anywhere, ‘no, I sense she must be the Luna, we can use her to get to him he will come to her rescue’ I inwardly smirk, knowing their intentions. I mind link all patrol

‘we have intruders in cemetery, send fighters, DO NOT alert the alpha and patrol unit, hold your ground’

‘Luna, you want us to stay in our spots and not assist you?’

They are questioning me.

‘I command that our boarders be protected at all times, if you leave your patrol you will face consequences’

‘but Luna’

‘Stand down!’ I command.

‘As you wish, Luna’

“Awe, Luna, out here all alone?” The pair of outsiders address me, I see them approach me.

“Not for long, can I help you with something? Why are you here? Visiting a ghost or hoping to become one?”

They laugh “fiesty bitch aren’t you?”

“Oh gentlemen, where are your manners? Surely we can play nice, I mean I am simply trying to find out your purpose here.”

“Sounded more like a threat to me”

“Nonsense, just noticed you are in my packs cemetery, I can only see two reasons why you would be here, I just simply wanted to help you accomplish your goal, either visiting a grave or being put in one.”

I smile sweetly at them.

They step closer ‘lets get this bitch’

I stand my ground and I begin to glow brightly and they fall back over headstones blinded by my light, I take my chance and shift into my wolf and tower over them, as they are temporary blinded I see this as my chance to have the upper hand, I pin one of them to the ground and take his life. I turn to the other and he has shifted and tries to attack me, I hear him mind link ‘all attack now’ I waste no time in taking him down and killing him as well. I then go off to east and see two of our patrol hurt. I check them out and see their injuries aren’t life threatening and mind link the pack doctor to come to them. I then get a mind link ‘Luna? We are under attack!’ It is a pack warrior I take off in the direction my wolf takes me trusting my instincts and I come upon two of our wolves fighting with one of the outsiders ‘leave him alive, take him to the dungeons, do you have this?’

‘yes, Luna’

I continue on and find a group of wolves they are all outsiders.

‘East border, six of them’ I state to the mind link, they are after Greyson.

I hear the outsiders...

‘look, it’s a black wolf’

‘I smell female’

‘looks like an alpha’

‘she doesn’t move like a she wolf’

‘The Luna?’

‘We can kill her, right?’

‘Yes, we can, but we have to kill him too, the prophecy said the Alpha’s blood line’

I shift in front of them. I blind them with my glow, they back up and watch me as my light grows brighter. The forest lights up around me.

‘It’s the moon goddess, she is here!’

I hear their panic.

“SURRENDER AND SHIFT NOW!”

I speak out to them, they all shift and bow down to me.

“Now, lay down on the ground, if you attempt to move, you will be killed”

Greyson’s POV

I run outside and try to mind link with Autumn, but I can’t get through, shit, I run shifting to my wolf and run to the border and help my warriors fight off a few wolves I mind link the pack and ask if anyone has seen Autumn, I get her last known location and head that way, when all of a sudden the strangest thing happens, a light fills the forest, I can hear shouts from the intruders, my men take them down and chase them when they begin to retreat.

I go towards the light, it slowly fades, my eyes adjust to the darkness again and I reach the edge of the forest and I see Autumn, naked, commanding a group of wolves to shift and to my shock they do, she then makes them lie down on the ground. They obey. I am mesmerized, how did she do that?

‘Alpha, the threat has been stopped the Luna is not accounted for’

‘I have my eyes on the Luna, I need warriors to join me in taking prisoners to the dungeons’

I give them our location. I make my way to her finding a tshirt and jeans in a clothes box, I pull on the jeans and take the tshirt to my naked mate, I am not happy about her being naked in front of the men. She takes it from me and slips it on. There are six naked men lying face down on the ground. My warriors show up and shift.

“Kitten, are you okay?” I ask as the prisoners are being carried away. Autumn says “who alerted you? I told them not to.” I shake my head in disbelief. “Autumn, as the alpha I am to be informed when my pack is under attack.” She says “with all due respect alpha, I had everything under control.” I am not believing what I am hearing right now, “true as that may be, Kitten, I am still alpha and will be informed when my pack is under attack. Understand?” She says “our pack, you said ‘my’ pack, but I am sure you meant ‘our’ pack.” I don’t answer her, but still she is right and she knows that I know. “Regardless, I am to be informed, Autumn” it was more of an alpha command, and it surprised me that she didn’t bow her head in submission to me, but instead says “not if I command that you are not to be informed, you aren’t the only one to dish out orders, alpha!” Why is she being so confrontational. I glare at her, pissed that she is being defiant and tell her we will discuss this later.
