Her Stain
A loud vase crashed down on the floor, as a raged scream flew out of Parvati Rajveer Singh Chauhan, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?"
Yuvraaj stared down, his face devoid of any emotions as both his younger brothers stared from afar with a shocked face. His father speechlessly stared at him. "Maa Sa..., pasand karta hoon Mai usse."
Parvati was a spoilt woman who had never heard a no, her life was a pampered one. Neither her husband nor her children ever gave her a no, now all of a sudden a promise that she did, it will be broken for what? A girl? Unacceptable!
"I want to marry her, Maa. I caused her so much...,pain, hurt and almost harmed her family as well." He spoke softly, holding his Maa Sa's hand. His voice soft, as he looked at her like the child he was years ago. Parvati's eyes tearing up as she shook her head, her face hardening. She pulled her hand away, she yelled, "You harmed money will suffice them! Tujhe usse shaadi karne ki koi zarurat nahi!"
She nonchalantly looked away, as if done with the discussion as she looked at him sternly saying. "Teri shaadi Maine taiy kardi hai." She handed him Ruhanika's photos, which made his face hardened. He spoke with gritted teeth, "You never asked for my permission, Maa Sa." Hearing his words, Parvati's eyes widened.
Everybody was shocked but no body dared to stop. It was Parvati in the wrong, fixing a marriage was no joke, Yuvraaj had the right for it was his life but for Parvati to fix a marriage? That too without any consent or consideration of her son or her husband? Was it a game?
Parvati glared at him, yelling. "Teri Marzi bhi ab puchni padegi mujhe? Tune kabhi mana Kiya hai apni maa sa ko?" Her words were arrogant, as she spoke them. "Nahi zaruri samjha, kyuki tu hamesha meri hi sunta hai."
"Toh aap zarur samjhengi agar Maine ek baar aapko mana kardiya toh Maa Sa."
Yuvraaj's jaw clenched. Hearing his words, Parvati paled staring up at her son. He looked up, his eyes holding helpless anger as he stared ahead, "Maa Sa hain aap meri, Zindagi ke saare faisle Lene Diya aapko. Haq tha ya nahi, Maine aapko Diya. Is ek baar, Mai apne Marzi se kuch karunga, aasha hai aapko samajh aayega ki pyaar karta hoon Mai Siya se."
His words were as if a lightening had struck Parvati. She stared at Yuvraaj with a betrayed expression, speechless. Yuvraaj felt a pang in his heart seeing his pain stricken mother, but he was adamant. He looked at her, speaking softly, "Maa, uske saath Jo hua woh mera kaaran hua. Bohot sidhi, izzatdar aur acchi hai woh. Aapka beta kabhi galat bahu nahi chune ga aapke liye."
Parvati on the other hand just stared at him, as she asked in a stuttering voice. "M-me or her?" Yuvraaj froze. His eyes looking at his mother, who seemed crazed as she suddenly yelled, "ME OR HER?!"
Crying she stared at her son, he was her son, no siya could take him from her.
Yuvraaj felt as if his heart had been ripped out from her chest. He stared at his mother with a pained expression, not saying a word as she yelled and threw things here and there.
Hearing his silence she sat on one of the armchairs, tears soaking her eyes. She cried loudly, feeling as if her own world is lost. She suddenly felt a soft touch on her hand, she looked up to see Yuvraaj kneeling before her. His eyes were trained on her hands, as he clenched them in his palm. Paravati stared at him with a tear stained expression.
He looked up at her and all she saw was her little boy, who stared at her ever so softly. "Jaan hai aap meri maa," he whispered, wiping her tears. Hope bloomed in Parvati's chest as she stared at her son. Yet again, she won.
He looked down, "Par woh meri zaroorat hai." Hearing his words, everybody froze, they stared at him with wide eyes. As if cold water had been thrown on her, Parvati looked at her son with a wide eyed expression.
He looked down, shaking his head. "Kya chunne keh Rahi hai aap mujhe?" His words carrying his conflict as he stared at her with eyes that looked hurt. He shook his head bitterly, "Aapke bina...,"
He looked away, his jaw clenching. He nodded with a bitter smile, "Jao, maani aapki."
"Par ab kisi aur se shaadi bhi nahi kar paunga maa sa." And he left, without another word.

As days passed Yuvraaj grew worse, his mother worrying. She knew what he was doing, however good Yuvraaj was to his mother he was also stubborn. He started leaving for work early, coming back later at night. He ceased talking to his Maa Sa, sending a clear refusal directly to the Mandals. He skipped dinners, and locked himself to his room all night. Parvati wrenched in guilt could only watch her son passing his life without a care of anything.
One such night, Avyaan found his Bhai Sa in the garden, staring ahead. He sat beside him, his throat running dry. He cleared his throat, "Aap thik ho, Bhai sa?"
Yuvraaj hummed, before asking him, "kab Tak hai yaha?"
"Mahine ki end Tak." Avyaan replied, staring ahead as well. Yuvraaj chuckled, "Meri shaadi Tak bas?"
Avyaan smirked, "Maa toh lagta hai jaldi maan jayengi." Yuvraaj hummed. How could he give up? He still was a Chauhan.
He would always do what his Maa Sa asked of him, he couldn't marry Siya going against her, but what if his Maa Sa comes and asks him to marry her?
Natural, he couldn't ever say no to her.
Avyaan stared at his Bhai, a smile on his face as he asked staring at him, "Bohot pyaar karte hai na, Aap bhabhi Sa ko?"
Siya's face flashed Yuvraaj's mind, making him stare at the moon, reminiscing the woman he loved to death. He didn't realise when it happened. When he started following her, only mere attractions were present in his heart but how loved blossomed? Yuvraaj was left unaware.
Yuvraaj looked at him, a small smile on his face as he nodded. Avyaan shook his head softly, "Ruhi never stood a chance." Looking down, he stared at his shoes. If only she didn't love Yuvraaj.
"She was never an option." Yuvraaj spoke up making him look up. He looked at Yuvraaj, questioning him with a confused expression. "Kyu, Bhai sa?"
An independent woman, who was beautiful and kind. She should have been liked by everyone.
Yuvraaj glanced at him before looking back at the sky again, he spoke up, "Bhai ke pyaar ko haath lagau, itna bhi gira hua nahi hoon Mai, Avyaan."
Avyaan's eyes shooting up towards Yuvraaj, shocked. Yuvraaj shook his head, his lips twitching. "It wasn't exactly hidden. Sidharth and Baba Sa might know as well."
A thousand thoughts clouded Avyaan's head, as he stared at his brother. His words speaking something, that he never spoke out loud.
She never was an option.
Even if Siya was not in the story, Ruhanika Mandal still wasn't an option.
Why? Because Avyaan loved her. A painful fire bloomed in his heart, with Siya, Yuvraaj declined the marriage, had gone against his mother's wishes. Without Siya, he still wouldn't have had married Ruhanika. A deep respect taking root in his heart, he looked at his brother whose grace never seemed to fall down. It only knew to grow.
But...,
Avyaan looked down, his expression stiff. He shook his head, "It's not possible Bhai Sa." Yuvraaj knew the reason, he nodded. How could she when her heart craved Yuvraaj?
Heart craved what it craved, and Yuvraaj only craved his Siya.
