Chapter 15

13.

Her Stain

"Siya! Come down!" Her mother yelled, and she walked downstairs seeing her mother talking on phone with her brother. "Okay, Indar. Yes, yes I will take care of it."

Dekho inhe, mai Ghar se mahino dur rehti hu aur fir bhi muskil se calls aate hai, aur dekho Bhai ko. Laadle saahab kuch ghanto ke liye Ghar se bahar kya Gaye, inhe yaad bhi aane lagi, hmph!

As soon as her mother ended the call she looked at her, and Siya knew then and there she was to be the dilevery woman for something again. She groaned, "Nahi, Maa. Aaj nahi! I am very tired!"

Aaradhya stared at Siya impatiently, "Beta it's important." Siya shook her head, not even Pani Puri was going to make her today.

"Beta, these are very important documents, Rana Sa had ordered for it himself. It would cause a huge loss if he doesn't recieve them by today itself and your brother is away on a meeting." Hearing those words Siya paused.

Rana Sa had respected her father so much, even after him being on such a high place. He was a nice man, Siya concluded. How could she let him be at loss just because she was lazy? After all it would only cause her own family harm.

Siya begrudgingly agreed to deliver the documents.

Her Suhani bhabhi gave her the documents that she were to deliver at the palace.

Parvati chuckled, still sitting with her bestfriend and her daughter. Recently, Parvati had been way more fond of Ruhanika, always inviting them to meet and have a talk.

As Parvati walked them to the gates of the mansion, she saw Ruhanika peeking behind as if searching for someone and cleared her throat. "Ruhi beta, he won't be out before dinner."

Ruhanika blushed, looking down embarrassed as she stared at the floor walking ahead. Ofcourse Parvati noticed her longing looks as she desperately wished for even a glance at his handsome face.

"Arey, Parvati I think I forgot my purse." Hearing Karuna's whine Parvati chuckled as she shook her head. "You clumsy woman, even at this age as immature as a child." She laughed at Karuna, before looking at Ruhanika, "Beta, you go ahead out, we will catch up to you quick."

Ruhanika walked out, still looking around for atleast one look at Yuvraaj. Suddenly she ran into some, almost colliding as somebody steadies her by her shoulders.

Looking up, her eyes met those of Avyaan. When Avyaan looked up at her, she could see some redness in them. A cold look that she didn't recognise, she felt perplexed as Avyaan pushed her away, looking away as he coldly muttered, "Watch where are you going, Ruhanika."

Parvati had told him to call her as his bhabhi, he couldn't. He couldn't call her bhabhi when---

He looked away, and settled with calling her by her own name. She is going to get married to Bhai.

Avyaan clenched his jaw, thinking bitterly leaving when he felt her hand around his arm stopping him. "Avyaan?"

When Avyaan turned back, he avoided looking in her eyes as he snapped, "What?"

Ruhanika looked at him confused, "W-what happened?" Avyaan turned back, "Nothing that you should be worried about." His cold words stung her heart and tears instantly stung her eyes. Avyaan Singh Chauhan, had been her best friend since she was young. Even more than her mother, it was Avyaan she confided to, they used to play together as kids and when they grew up he moved to hostel. Their meetings became lesser and lesser but it didn't mean Avyaan meant any lesser to her now.

She stood in front of him, staring at him hurt, "W-why are you ignoring me then?" Hearing a crack in her voice, Avyaan's eyes were Swift to find hers and seeing tears in them his hands clenched. He shook his head looking away, "Nothing. I am not ignoring you, Ruhanika." He gritted out. She is your brother's soon to be wife, Avyaan.

"Yes you are Avyaan!" Ruhanika yelled, seeing her looking away from her, "You aren't even meeting my eyes."

Avyaan shook his head stubbornly, his temper rising as he snapped, "I am not ignoring you, Ruhanika. Let me go Damn it!"

Ruhanika shook her head, feeling more hurt then ever before. Her only friend decided to ignore her and was talking to her rudely how could her tears stop? "Y-you are..., you are ignoring--"

"Leave me, Ruhanika." Avyaan said with impatience, seeing her tears making him nearly insane. How could she let him go though? He had to answer, "No Avyaan tell me first." Hearing her voice Avyaan gritted, "Let me go, Ruhanika. Before I do something --"

"What huh? What will yo---" she was cut off, as she was slammed against a pillar in the hallway. Her eyes widening because of the fury in Avyaan's eyes, he stared at her with red eyes. "Because I don't want to see your face!" He slammed his hand against the pillar, answering her.

Ruhanika flinched, "You. You are the reason I am ignoring you! Bhai is the reason I am ignoring you!"

His words held pain, that reflected through his gaze, "Because I fucking had feelings for you that I am ignoring you Ruhanika fucking Mandal!"

How could he cheat on his brother? He never would forgive himself, the guilt of loving something that was to be his brothers had already made him lose his self respect any lower and his Rajwadi blood won't be able to tolerate and suffocate him. He was torn, between love and loyalty.

He chose loyalty, he would chose it over and over. Blood ran deeper than anything else, and if anything his love for Ruhanika infront of his love for Yuvraaj was nothing. For her he could have killed himself a thousand times, killed for her as well. But for Yuvraaj, if it meant to massacre, he wouldn't hesitate nor blink an eye. How could he ever even look at her the same way before? Not when she had feelings for his brother?

"Do not worry though, Ruhanika for my love for my brother is way more than the one I held for you. Your wedding won't be sacrificed because of me."Avyaan turned and left leaving Ruhanika stunned after saying his words coldly.

On the other hand Siya entered the Palace with the document, walking in the hallway when she saw a girl run into her as she was rushing out of the palace.

Siya yelped, as she fell down and the girl didn't even stop as she kept running. A sprain in her leg, Siya winced.

Yuvraaj who was on the call by the window of his office looked down, seeing Siya falling down and his eyes widened. "Siya, No damn It!"

"Sir?" The other line asked confused but he was already rushing on his feet, "Later Dhiraj." He spoke up ending the call as he ran outside towards her.

Seeing her wincing he felt his heart burning in rage, he shouted, "Somebody fucking call a doctor!" The gaurds who listened were quick to dial the doctor's number.

Siya who had been on the floor turned seeing Rana Sa was stunned as he kneeled down beside her panicking, "Are you okay? Where does it hurt?"

Siya blushed in embarrassment, shocked seeing him fuzzing over her so bad. "R-rana Sa it-its fine real--ahh"

"Its not fine Siya, damn it!" He picked her up in his arms, quickly turning and walking towards his wing. Yuvraaj had a whole wing to himself, away from the front entrance of the palace. His wing used to be isolated throughout the day except the cleaning times. It was the only place no body would see her hence make rumours that would disrespect her.

Siya stunned stuttered, "R-rana sa--"

"Quiet! Absolutely quiet!" His tone made her quiet as she blushed as he ran with her in his arms. How could she tell him she had been absolutely fine?

He must be really kind hearted for him to take into consideration even the slightest of harm so seriously, how wrongly had I judged him before. Siya thought as she saw his worried gaze when he laid her down on one of the beds in guest rooms. Their position too intimate when he leaned down to lay her on the bed, as he checked her over for any injuries.

Soon a doctor hurried in, "Ji hukum sa?"

"She fell, check her up. I think she hurt her leg!" Yuvraaj barked at the woman, worried. Siya smiled uncomfortably, "Rana Sa I am totally fine. Its just a sprain."

Yuvraaj's eyes when found hers, he spoke only five words that made butterflies explode in her stomach. "That means it does hurts."

His eyes on her leg, as the doctor checked her up. He asked, "Is there any medicine that would relieve her pain?" The doctor nodded, "Ji hukum, I'll give her an anaesthetic."

Siya's eyes widened, "Arey nahi nahi, No Rana Sa, I-"

Yuvraaj ignored her and nodded, "do it."

Siya cried out, "Rana Sa I was only here to deliver the documents, I am totally fine!" She was overwhelmed with his worry, as he yelled at the poor doctor. What was the poor docotr's fault?

Yuvraaj didn't listen to her until the doctor was done with the check up, and giving her the anaesthetic. "She must rest for a few days before moving, or else her leg would hurt more, Hukum. These are the painkillers to take."

Yuvraaj took the medicine and nodded. As soon as the doctor moved out, Yuvraaj filled a glass of water from the pitcher when Siya spoke again, meekly. "Raana Sa?"

Yuvraaj handed her the water with a painkiller. "Drink." Siya silently did as he asked when her eyes met his.

Her eyes were on his hands that were shaking, as he clenched them hard to calm himself down. She realised he might have thought she would have hurt herself more than she actually did that made him so worried. In an attempt to distract him, Siya grabbed her tote back pulling out a file from within it.

Seeing it Yuvraaj took it from her, scanning it's contents it realised it was the hard copy that he had asked from Indar when he had been angry because he wouldn't be able to meet Siya. His eyes then sliding to Siya who looked up at him, he realised that his demand in spite led her to him.

Which led her to being hurt.

His hands clenched. Angry at himself. Wasn't that his fault?

Siya spoke up, unaware of the storm in him. "That's the file you asked for, right?" Yuvraaj clenched his jaw, squinting his eyes as he pinched his nose bridge before nodding. When he nodded Siya smiled, "I will get going then, Raana Sa." She tried getting up, which made him frown.

"Stop." He commanded.

Siya stared at him, confused. He breathed out trying to calm himself he spoke up, "You are hurt. You won't be able to walk." Siya laughed, "oh no, it's nothing Raana Sa, with just a little help I'll -"

"No, even with alot of help, you won't be able to walk." Siya yelped when he again picked her up in his arms, he spoke up, "I'll drop you off to your place."

Hearing his words Siya quickly shook her head, "N-no, Raana Sa I will manage-"

Yuvraaj's eyes on her were sharp and stern that made her meek, she spoke up stubbornly, "It will attract too much attention, Rana Sa. The neighborhood would want to know why you dropped me off, and will doubt me."

She hesitated, "It will taint both your as well as mine and my family's reputation." Hearing her words, Yuvraaj stared at her irritated. She was right indeed.

He clenched his jaw, working it before he nodded once. "My driver will drop you off then." And Siya admitted defeat when she saw his warning glare that stated he wouldn't negotiate any further.

What a weird man Raana Sa is.
