Axel: Chapter 17
Raging Barons MC – Book Two – Axel
Waiting for Chaos and Target to get to the clubhouse shed with our two guests, well not exactly guests but whatever you want to call them as they may not be leaving here anytime soon.
Sitting in my office earlier speaking with Target, I have kept pushing down my anger. Some bitch here is a mole, reporting back to some fucker what Mia is doing. When I find out, they wonât be leaving here alive.
Iâve heard no one mention a brother, uncle or whatever called Alan, and most of the women have been here well over a year, so if they are a mole they were planted before Mia came here, so Mia has to be a secondary target.
Walking into the common room, I look around and see Brandy and Bubbles sitting, drinking and talking. That is all I seem to see them do. Most of the men are not using them anymore, used up bitches.
âYou two, find something to do, clean up, do laundry, if youâre not fucking find something else to pay your way or get the fuck outta my clubhouse.â I snarl, then stomp back to my office.
Sitting behind my desk, I have to have steam coming out of my ears. How the fuck can we have a mole? Weâre a small club compared to most and we have such a good brotherhood. Anyone that fucks with mine Iâm quite happy to take out once and for all, and if thatâs a bitch, then so be it.
Hammer knocks and enters. No reason for him not to as I left the door wide open. âWhat can I do for you Hammer?â
âThey arrived with the packages, just wanted you to know, Pres. Iâm coming with, Mia is like a sister to me and I wanna know what or who the fuck is messing with her.â
I know that Mia and Hammer have gotten closer with working on the plans for the coffeehouse, as yet he hasnât allowed her to be inside because of them ripping it apart, I know heâs being careful with her safety but I also know sheâs gonna be grabbing him by the balls if he doesnât let her get involved soon.
âCome on, letâs deal with the shit weâve got going down.â I respond and head out the back of the clubhouse to the shed we have at the bottom of the property.
Entering the shed, which is actually a brick building lined with soundproofing, has hooks on the walls and ceiling, plus a drain for us to hose anything away.
Tied to chairs are the two, Jewel looking scared and the other black and blue, if Iâm honest.
Buzz, who is the best enforcer I could wish for, is in his element. He doesnât mind getting his hands dirty for the right reasons.
Tapping Jewel on the shoulder, Buzz rips off her gag, which is a ball gag. I lift an eyebrow at him and he shrugs a shoulder and grins, but Iâm not asking. Fuck, got enough to think about without his kinky shit.
I fold my arms and lean on the wall. Iâm going to watch and wait, let Buzz do his thing. Drag steps beside me but remains quiet. We must look a formidable pair to these two assholes.
âPlease, I donât know what you want, Iâve done nothing wrong.â Jewel begs, which just angers Buzz more, as he knows as well as we do she is lying out of her skanky ass.
âWho is Alan?â Buzz asks as he squats in front of her, which has the asshole next to her shaking his head and mutter something, which none of us can hear because he also has a gag in his mouth.
âI donât know.â Jewel replies, but her eyes are huge and she knows sheâs in more trouble now.
âWell, I know youâre lying, I know youâre living with him, I know youâre after Mia, now I want to know why.â Buzz snarls at her, which has her flinching and all the color draining from her face.
I have to be fair; she holds out for quite a while before Buzz grabs her around the throat and chokes her. He takes her to the point she almost passes out, then releases her neck.
When he turns to start on the man, I cross my legs at the ankle and settle in. Iâm sure this oneâs going to hold out for quite a while.
âLetâs start with simple stuff, shall we?â Buzz says to this asshole, âWhatâs your name?â
Silence, as he doesnât respond. This goes on for over forty minutes until Buzz gets sick of his own voice.
âOkay, Iâve tried the nice way, now we go the hard way.â Buzz tells him, walking over to the supplies laid out on the butcherâs table we have against the wall.
He takes a pair of pliers and a knife, then walks back over, squats down and removes this guyâs boots and socks, and fuck, he is filthy, âHow long since you had a bath or shower?â Buzz says, then tuts, shaking his head in disgust.
âLast chance?â Drag states as he saunters nearer, letting it be known heâs taking a good look at what is going to happen next.
Still no response, so hey, Buzz, grabs a toe nail and rips that sucker right off, which must shock the shit out of this asshole as he screams like a baby.
Seven toe nails later and he shouts, âNigel Benson, my name is Nigel Benson.â
âWho is paying you Nigel?â Again, he doesnât respond.
âOkay Buzz, Iâm going to go do some work. Get me when you have answers.â I state, give Jewel an evil look, then smirk, shaking my head as she has the ball gag back in her mouth and she has drool hanging from each side of her mouth. She looks like a rabid dog.
Back in my office, I text Hammer to come to my office. I want to get Mia involved in the coffee house more.
Knocking on the door and Hammer pops his head in. âYou want me, Pres?â
âTake a seat. I want to see about you having Mia at the coffee house, even if itâs only for an hour or so. That way she can tell you how she wants the place set up.â
âOkay, Pres, no problem, Iâll organize it. Sheâs still doing three nights a week at the club, running every day apart from Sunday.â Hammer passes his cellphone. âLook, Pres, I keep showing Mia the pictures. They have nearly every room re-plastered, so another few days and theyâll start putting the new bathroom in.â
Scanning through the pictures, it looks pretty good. All cleared out, all new walls, ready cabinets, shelving and whatever else, along with an opening, framed out for putting up new doors.
âI wasnât going to bring her around until the top two floors were done, then she can spend all day with us doing the shop, kitchen and basement.â
âOkay, I see what you were thinking. Stick with that get it done to that point. Then Mia can get her hands dirty and probably drive you all crazy.â I state with a smirk, as I know she is itching to get involved.
Another knock on the door and both me and Hammer look up as the door opens and Drag walks in.
Throwing himself down in a chair, he looks up and grins, âWell, they talked. Seems Cara has an uncle, heâs pissed that Cara was killed, even though he had fuck all to do with her.
âHis nameâs Sydney Bloom, and guess what, Pres? Heâs got his own gang being built. No good assholes like that one downstairs.
âBloom wants to take over our area, hence he wants all the information he can get from his mole. Now he has a two-fold plan. Kill Mia as payback for Cara and take over our club for his gang.â
I stand and walk over to the window, slide my hand down the back of my neck and squeeze, trying to work out the tension building.
âOkay, so we find this Bloom. Who is the mole?â I ask, turning to look at Drag.
âHe doesnât know, but Jewel does, as yet sheâs not talking much, but she will once Buzz works on her.â Drag smirks, âBuzz tore up Nigelâs feet with a knife after he removed all the toenails, then plunged his feet into a bowl of boiling water. Fuck, did he scream, but got him talking so fast he was falling over his words.
My cellphone rings and looking down, I see itâs Joe. âWhatâs up Joe?â
âTheyâve rushed Jenkins to the hospital, Iâm closing up shop and following him, Iâll let you know as soon as I get more information, Pres.â Joe quickly tells me.
âIâm on my way, Iâll meet you up there.â
Walking out of the office quickly with Drag and Hammer right behind me, I state, âHospital, Jenkins has been rushed in.â
Arriving at the hospital, we quickly go to reception and find out where Jenkins has been taken. Walking over, we find Joe sitting in the waiting area.
âHe couldnât breathe, Pres. I didnât know what to do, so I called 911.â Joe quickly tells me.
âYou did right Joe.â I sit next to him, âHave they told you anything?â
âNothing much, just putting him on oxygen then rushed him away.â Joeâs leg is nervously jigging up and down. âIt was horrible, Pres. He was talking to me, then started coughing. Before I knew it, he was gasping and couldnât breathe.â
An hour later, a doctor in a white medical coat walks over to us. âYou with Mr. Jenkins? Iâm Doctor Galaway, looking after Mr. Jenkins.â
âYes, heâs my uncle.â which technically he isnât, but he may as well have been.
âHeâs not doing so well, Mr.?â
âJust call me Axel.â I state, not getting into all the bullshit names with this man.
âWell Axel, Mr. Jenkins has been coming in regularly for treatment, which, sadly, has not worked. The condition has deteriorated rapidly and sadly with this latest bout of coughing and shortage of oxygen heâs slipped into a coma.â
Now the doctor looks like he wants to be anywhere but here. This is shit news, and I hadnât expected Jenk to go down this fast.
âGive it to me straight Doc, whatâs going to happen.â
âWe are going to scan, see what brain activity we have. He wasnât breathing for a long time. If at worse, he has brain damage, he may slip away quickly. He has a DNR on his file. He did that the last appointment he had.â
Drag speaks, âWhatâs a DNR?â
âDo not resuscitate.â the doctor states and looks at all three of us with sympathy in his eyes.
Someone shouts to the doctor and he turns to answer, walking away from us as he does. Then he turns back to us. âWe are doing the scan now. Iâll come back as soon as I know more. It wonât take too long.â
Not too long turned out to be two hours and when he returns the doctor didnât look like heâs going to give us good news.
âAxel, weâve done the scan and there is no easy way to say this, but your uncle died while he was being scanned.â
I cannot believe what Iâm hearing. I stagger back and sit, running the palm of my hands down my face. Jenk, gone, it just doesnât seem real.
âThere was nothing we could do with him having the DNR, when he stopped breathing we were helpless.â the doctor looks as upset as we are, âI treated Mr. Jenkins and we talked quite a lot, he was a good man and I liked him, a lot, Iâm so sorry for your loss.â
After signing the paperwork required as his next of kin, we all headed back to the clubhouse. We can do nothing more today, but tomorrow Iâll have to organize his funeral. Iâm just thankful that Jenk put me down as next of kin, or this would have been so much harder.
