Chapter 50
Wife
Chapter 50
âIf youâre talking about our home, then you sit in the passenger seat and Iâll drive you back. But if youâre talking about Cynthiaâs place, Iâll have the driver take you there now.
âEither way, youâre not driving. What if you hit someone on the road?
Rosalie said with furrowed brows.
âHah,â Theodore scoffed lightly. âSo, youâre not worried about me, but about strangers being hit by me.â
Rosalie frowned. âShouldnât I be worried about that? Drunk drivers deserve to get into accidents, but the innocent people they hit donât.â
His anger flaring up, Theodore grabbed his wifeâs slender shoulder and demanded, âDeserve it? Are you saying itâs my fault?â
âI was just giving an example. You havenât drunk and driven, have you?
Rosalie pushed him away forcefully. âWhere do you want to go? Speak up!â
After suddenly taking off his suit jacket and angrily throwing it to the ground, Theodore impatiently opened the passenger door and got into the car. It seemed like he was intending to head back to his and Rosalieâs home.
Rosalie sighed helplessly, picking up the discarded suit jacket from the ground. She settled into the driverâs seat and tossed his jacket onto the backseat.
Looking at her husband slumped in the passenger seat, Rosalie reminded him, âBuckle up.â
Seeing him remain motionless, Rosalie shook her hood:
exasperation on
she knew Theodore wasnât drunk enough to be unable to do it .
âHmm â
Suddenly, a large hand grabbed the back of her head, and before she realized it, the man leaned in and kissed her lips! He had completely
ambushed her!
The aftertaste of alcohol from the manâs mouth flooded into her nostrils, making Rosalie feel dizzy. Worried about the effect on the baby, she exerted all her strength to push him away.
She angrily asked, âWhat are you doing?!â
Theodore opened his eyes as his lips curled into a smile. âDidnât you lean into me? What do you think Iâm doing?â
âI was fastening your seatbelt, not trying to kiss you!â
âOh, is that so?â Theodore shrugged innocently. âI had no idea.â
Rosalie was speechless. She couldnât believe this man didnât know. He had some nerve! He was shameless!
Though Rosalie was furious, she couldnât vent. After all, they were still husband and wife. If he wanted to kiss her, she couldnât exactly call the cops, could she?
Both of them remained silent until Rosalie parked the car in front of their home. After getting out, Rosalie handed the keys to the butler and asked him to park the car in the garage, then walked into the
house with Theodore
Tonight, Rosalie still intended to sleep separately from Theodore. She entered their bedroom to fetch some clean clothes from the closet,
but before she could, there was a loud bang as the door was
slammed shut.

pulled her towards him and pressed her against The smell of alcohol and his unbridled anger overwhelmed her
Rosalie frowned. âWhat are you doing?â
âYou told me you were going to take the entrance exam! Did you lie to me again? How many of the things you said were actually true?â
The sudden accusation left Rosalie speechless. Theodore was acting as if he were the victim in this entire situation.
âCanât change my mind?â
âDid you really change your mind, or were you just trying to fool me? What you told me and what you told Grandma was completely different. Are you telling everyone a different story?â
Rosalie frowned deeply and pushed against Theodoreâs chest, trying to push him away.
âLet go of me. Stop acting like some drunken fool!â
