Chapter 419
Wife
Was this the alliance marriage Geoffrey was so proud of?
He claimed that only couples who get married for self-gain could last, but what was the point of such a relationship lasting for so long? They would even treat their own children so terribly!
If humans were to reproduce this way, passing such practices down from generation to generation, what would humanity ultimately become? âRose, whatâs the matter? Why arenât you talking?â Yvonne asked. She could sense Rosalie spacing out.
Rosalie snapped back to attention. âI just donât know what to say. Iâm very worried about your brother. He said heâs willing to get married.â
âYeah, he came back home today saying that he wants to marry that woman. Theyâve only met once or twice when they were young, and are almost strangers.â
âDo you know that lady?â Rosalie asked.
âI have heard some rumors about her.â
âWhat about?â Rosalie asked further.
âWell,â Yvonne said. âI do know where she will be tonight. Iâll bring you to see her in the flesh, okay? Seeing is believing, after all.â
âThe two of us go find her?â Rosalie said hesitantly. âVonnie, are you sure I should go too?â
âWhat, donât you want to go? Arenât you curious about who my brotherâs future wife is?â
âItâs not that I donât want to, but is it appropriate for me to do so?â
âOh please, Rose! Why are you still harping on whether itâs appropriate now? Is it appropriate for my father to force Seb to get a wife in the first place?â
âThatâs true⦠Alright, Iâll go with you to see her. Just say Iâm your friend, and donât tell her that Iâm friends with Sebastian.â
âOkay. That settles it.â
With that, the both of them hung up.
It was getting late, and Yvonne drove Rosalie to a club exclusive to socialites. All patrons of the club were second-generation heiresses. There was a wide range of facilities in the club. Yvonne was a frequent customer, and often came here to hang out with her girlfriends.
She pulled Rosalie into the club, and said softly, âIâm not very familiar with the lady my brother is going to marry only know that her nameâs Tammy Jones. Sheâs a wild one. Sheâs got a lot of boyfriends before.â Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
Rosalie nodded. âGiven her status in life, she got whatever she wanted since she was young. Itâs understandable that she lives life with abandon.â
It was difficult to judge the kind of person Ms. Jones was just based on Yvonneâs words. In fact, it was unfair to judge her just based on her wild child behavior and her many ex-boyfriends.
âRose, Iâm afraid you might have misunderstood what I meant when I said that sheâs a wild one. It might not be what you think it is,â Yvonne said.
âWhat is it, then?â Rosalie asked doubtfully.
As they chatted, they walked toward a private room.
Yvonne had informed the club beforehand that she was coming today, and Tammy was aware of it, too. Yvonne was the sister of her future husband, after all. It was perfectly normal for both of them to meet at this place.
The moment the door was pushed open, Rosalie saw the luxurious furnishings inside. The lights were dim and lent a mysterious air to the room, which was filled with the smett of alcohol and cigarettes. She could hear merry laughter and singing inside. Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
Rosalie saw both men and women inside the private room, and the men looked like male hosts dedicated to serving the socialites.
The socialites were seated on their
laps, enjoying the intimacy they offered as part of their service. Everyone was immersed in games f their
and flirting, having the time of lives. Some men were even pressed against the couch, their shirts unbuttoned and wide open, allowing the socialites their way with them. Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
The male hosts looked to be enjoying themselves to the fullest.
