Chapter 377
Wife
Rosalie was panicking, and she needed a few minutes to compose herself before carefully peeking through the curtains again and looking downstairs. She saw Theodore still standing in the same spot downstairs, looking up as if heâd seen her.
Rosalie was like a deer in the headlights as she closed the curtains once more.
Will he come upstairs?
After pondering for a moment, she pulled out her phone and dialed his number.
She had blocked Theodore, and while Theodore couldnât reach her, she could reach him if he didnât block her.
The call went through, a sign that Theodore didnât do so.
A few seconds later, his deep voice sounded through the phone. âHey.â
âTheodore Spencer, youâre a stalker! How dare you follow me home!â
âAre you sure this is your home?â Theodore asked casually.
âMy home is wherever Iâm staying at. I decide where my home is! Why did you stalk me?â
âFor no particular reason. I just somehow tagged along,â Theodore said leisurely. There was no panic in his voice as he went on calmly, âIf you donât like it, Iâll leave.â
âLeave! Hurry up and leave, and donât ever come again. I donât want to see you at all!â
âIs this why you blocked me?â Theodore said hoarsely. âYou donât ever want to see me again? Even the divorce wasnât enough to relieve you of your suffering. Youâll only be happy if I vanish from your world, is that it?â
Deep sorrow coursed through Rosalieâs veins, from her heart to her head. Her vision became blurry, and even the lights in her room looked hazy. âTheodore Spencer,â Rosalie squeezed out from her throat. âThe moment you asked for a divorce for Cynthiaâs sake, we should have vanished from each otherâs lives. We should be living our separate lives.â
âBe like strangers with nothing to do with each other?â Theodore asked, as if she was asking the impossible of him.
This was in fact something that Rosalie had said many times before.
Rosalie shut her eyes, and said bitterly, âYes.â

âHah,â Theodore chuckled bitterly. âWeâve known each other for a decade, and now, have to be strangers and erase away all our memories just because of a failed marriage between us. Rosalie Young, how could you bear to say something like this?!â Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org

Rosalieâs heart ached, but she felt numb at the same time when she heard Theodoreâs words. It sounded like it was her fault once again, and that she was being too heartless. Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
âThatâs exactly what I said. Iâve learned too much from this failed marriage. It made me understand that a decade means nothing. With no love, even a hundred years mean nothing-not to mention ten!â

She couldnât change his heart and make him love her over ten years. What else could she have done? Should she have stayed by his side as his sister after their divorce?
She didnât want that!
She would rather leave him than to compromise to the point of humbling herself like this.
Since she couldnât have him, she didnât want him any longer! She didnât want to hanker after something that didnât belong to her!
How many things could one really own in this lifetime?
Too few, truly.
Some people struggle their entire lives, and end up with nothing to their names. Others, on the other hand, are born lucky and always manage to get what they want.
Theodore remained silent for so long, time seemed to stand still.
Yet, neither hung up. They could hear each otherâs breathing through the phone clearly.
