Chapter 352
Wife
Chapter 352
After leaving Rosalieâs house, Sebastian buried himself in work.
Geoffrey arranged many appointments for him, forcing him to run around many places. He didnât even have time for a sip of water till deep in the night. By the time he returned home, he was exhausted and collapsed weakly on the couch.
Sometimes, the strictness his father displayed made him wonder if he really was that manâs biological son. But given the same blood type they shared and how closely he resembled his father, it seemed like an indisputable fact.
What a cold, heartless father he had.
As it turned out, cold-blooded creatures could reproduce, too.
âSeb, youâre back.â
Yvonne walked downstairs, and saw the fatigue on her brotherâs face.
Sebastianâs brows furrowed. âWhy are you here?â
âIâm staying here right now. Didnât I tell you before that I wanted to stay here for some time? I donât want to go home. Dadâs super strict, and Iâm scared of him,â Yvonne said, intertwining her fingers with each other.
Sebastian sighed, his face etched with exhaustion. âUp to you.â
âSeb, whatâs wrong?â Yvonne felt as though he was overwhelmed with something more than fatigue. She sat next to him. âRose saved you from your plight today. You should feel happy. Why are you sighing?â
âI am happy, but she went on to try to set me up with another woman. Shouldnât I sigh over that?â
âWhat? Whoâs she trying to set you up with?â Yvonne asked, doubtful. âIs she trying to introduce you to someone?â
Yvonne didnât think Roselle would do something like that.
Sebastian sighed again, and told Yvonne what happened. After hearing him out, she gasped in astonishment.
âYou made up a woman called Lily and said you like her so Rose wouldnât suspect that you like her?â
And then, Sebastian said in all seriousness, âSo, you have one task. Find me a woman by the name of Lily before tomorrow night comes.â
âWhat?! You want me to do what?â Yvonne gripped her chest, shocked. âWhere am I going to find anyone called Lily?â
âDonât you have a bunch of friends? Iâm sure itâs easy finding someone with the name Lily. If you canât, just find a fake one,â Sebastian said, irritated.
âSeb, I really donât want to nag at you,â Yvonne said, âbut havenât you heard that you need to
keep lying to cover up for your first lie? And now, you need to make up more lies just to cover up for your lie. Wake up, wonât you?â
âWhat should I do now, then?â Sebastian said coldly. âTell Rose thereâs no such woman, and that I made her up?*
âWell..â Yvonneâs eyes darted around. âThat wonât do, either. Sheâll definitely get angry.â
âSo, help me find a woman called Lily. Rose is very sharp, so make sure nothing goes wrong.â
âSeb, this wonât do. Iâll become an accomplice. Rose and I are good friends. I canât do this to her. Youâre the only one at fault right now. Iâm still innocent. You canât pull me into this. How aboutâ¦â
Suddenly, a black card appeared right before her eyes. They lit up immediately, and she stared fixedly at the premiurn credit card.
Sebastian held the card between his fingers, and waved it before Yvonne. She stared hard at the card, her gaze moving along with it until she became cross-eyed.
