Chapter 346
Wife
Sebastianâs mind went numb upon seeing how enthusiastic Rosalie was at pairing him and Lily.
Her excited expression was a rare sight. Yet, he had to witness it in this context.
âHow about this,â Rosalie suggested, as yet another idea came to mind, âask Lily out, and all four of us will head out for a meal.â
âThe four of us?â Sebastian asked. âWhich four?â
âYou, Lily, Vonnie, and me,â Rosalie said. She looked straight at Sebastian, as if questioning the delay in his train of thought.
âThe four of us together?â Sebastian was confused. âBut why?â
âIf you ask her out for a meal just between you two, itâll look too much like a date. But if you and some friends ask her out, that makes things different. Whatâs more, with some ladies around, sheâll feel more relaxed. Didnât you say that she recently broke up?â
Sebastian said hesitatingly, âYesâ¦but will this really work?â
The thing was, Lily didnât even exist. He had made her up, so how was he going to ask her out?
âWhy are you so hesitant about this? You need to be more proactive in pursuing a lady. This settles it. Ask Lily out tomorrow afternoon. Iâm seriously curious about this lady you fancy so much.â
âErâ¦â
Sebastian had no clue how things had progressed to this state.
It was such a rare opportunity for some alone time with Rosalie, yet Lily had to spoil things for him. The worst part was that he had created this trouble for himself!
âWhat? You donât want to do it?â
The hesitation in Sebastianâs eyes made Rosalie furrow her brows.
âIf youâre reluctant, forget it. The last time you talked to me about it, I thought you really wanted me to give you ideas. But from the looks of it now, youâre not taking my suggestion anyway,â she said with a sigh.
âThatâs not it,â Sebastian assured her, fearing that she would get angry. He added anxiously, âI just donât want to trouble you.â
I
âWhat trouble is there? I donât mind
it, so why should you? Itâs also a good chance for me to make a new friend. Iâm sure someone you fancy would be of great character.â

Rosalie suddenly felt the urge to see Sebastian enter a relationship, even get married and have children.
She didnât know where this urge came from, but whatever it is, the desire came forth so strongly, as if seeing that happen to him would make her feel more at ease.
âYeah, sheâ¦sheâs great,â Sebastian said anxiously, a tinge of guilt in his voice.
âSilly girlâ, he sighed inwardly. âYouâre her.â
Lily never existed. Rosalie was always the only woman in his heart.
âWhat do you think about that?â he silently asked Rosalie. Sebastian smiled uneasily.
He didnât want to disappoint Rosalie. Rejecting her would certainly upset her and even raise suspicions. She was also a smart and sharp woman capable of noticing what others couldnât, like what she did with

Whatâs more, it was rare of her to be this enthusiastic about something. Although it concerned setting. With another lady, he wanted to

As long as she was happy, he would be too.
âAlright. Iâll try asking her out,â he finally said.
Rosalie nodded. âGreat! Whatever it is, you must muster the courage. One of you will have to take the initiative. If neither of you do, how will you be together?â
She then thought about her and Theodore.
He had always been a distant dream she could only watch from afar. Her eyes were always filled with love for him, but he never cared for her.
He only cared for Cynthia, and only bothered being proactive toward her.
