Chapter 262
Wife
Chapter 262
That was clearly Rosalieâs voice.
What was going on? Why was she with Theodore at such a late hour? And was she preparing his shower?
Were the two of themâ¦.
Cynthiaâs lips trembled. They were divorced! What on earth were they doing together?! They were clearly doing something indecent at such a late hour!
No wonder Theodore didnât visit her over the past two days. He was -with Rosalie!
How could Theodore lie to her?! How could he use work as an excuse?!
That was exactly what Theodore did before when he had been with her. He used work as an excuse for Rosalie.
Back then, Cynthia was smug about what he had done. She never expected herself to be on the receiving end of everything that Rosalie went through before!
Cynthia took a deep breath, and pretended she didnât hear anything. She couldnât panic at this point.
Theodore heard the voice coming from the washroom, and guessed that Cynthia might have heard it, too
Instead of avoiding the topic, he said, âCindy, Iâm withâ¦â
âTheo, Iâm just worried about your condition. In that case, go ahead and be busy. I feel woozy, I need to sleep right now.â
Theodore furrowed his brows. Did Cynthia hear Rosalieâs voice, or
not?

it was, since Cynthia didnât want to talk about it, Theodore didnât say anything further. He simply nodded and said, âAll right, then. Get some rest.â
The moment he hung up, Rosalie walked out of the washroom. She
saw Theodore put his phone down, and surmised that he had a call just now.
Rosalie stood at the door of the washroom, and asked flatly, âDid Cynthia call you?â
He nodded. âYes, she did.â
âAre you going to her?â
In the past, the moment Cynthia called him, he fly to her without a doubt.
Rosalie had long gotten used to it. Now that she was divorced from Theodore, she didnât care, even if he were to go and see Cynthia right now. She would just drive back to her own apartment, where she felt more comfortable.
She was making plans to leave when Theodore said indifferently, âIâm not going. Iâm injured right now, so Iâll think about it after I recover.â
Rosalie smirked. âI thought nothing would stop you from going to see Cynthia, not even these wounds.â
Theodore furrowed his brows. âYeah, wounds inflicted by Grandma, who definitely didnât use any strength when she hit me.â
Theodore was slightly peeved, and turned his face away like a petulant child.
Rosalie said helplessly, âAlright, letâs stop arguing with each other. If youâre not going to Cindy, take a shower before going to bed.
It no longer mattered to Rosalie whether he went to Cynthia or not. She had long learned how to let go of things.
Since they were divorced, she couldnât be bothered to get angry over such things.
Theodore turned around, and saw the indifference on Rosalieâs face. More importantly, she wasnât angry.
Did she really get used to it, or did she no longer care about him?
Suddenly, he remembered how he rushed over to Cynthia upon receiving her call in the middle of the night.
Before that happened, he promised Rosalie that he wouldnât behave like he did in the past. Despite that, he went back on his word.
Rosalie had been very upset and tried her best to stop him from leaving, but eventually, he cruelly left her side.
At that time, Theodore thought that Rosalie would be fine while Cynthia was in grave danger. He thought he knew his priorities, and what mattered more.
Now that he thought about it again, he was a bastard through and through.
Yet now, when Cynthia called him, Rosalie no longer cared because they were divorced. He knew he needed to accept that as a fact but here he was, still trying to grab hold of something lost and salvage whatever was left between them.
