When we arrive, he parks in front of the cafe and I notice the building is empty. Then as he opens my door and I step out of the car, I realize the whole street is also empty.
"What the hell is going on?!"
"I don't know but I don't have a good feeling, so I want you to stay close to me."
"Ok," I grab his hand.
Entering the cafe, the only sound that can be heard are the bells. She's sitting in the far corner staring at us with crazy eyes. I can tell she's trying to look intimidating but it is not working.
"It's not too late to leave," Seb whispers.
I roll my eyes, "We'll be fine."
"Well, hello there," she says standing up holding her hand out. She's wearing a pink-colored top and a pink and purple tye-dye skirt. Ignoring her, I sit beside Emilian.
"Ok then, straight to the point I guess."
"What do you want?" I ask.
She looks at me confused, "Don't you miss me? You haven't spoken to me in a long time. I have been messaging you for weeks."
"What are you on right now?"
She gasps loudly, "Why would you assume such things." She sniffs, rubbing her nose.
"Why the hell am I here Sara?"
"How are you guys still together? I thought you would break up with her after a few weeks. I guess not."
"And why would I do that?" he asks.
"Fatties don't last long in a relationship. I was hoping you broke her heart so she can go to the gym."
I feel Emilian stiffen and I instantly take his hand in mine.
I turn to her and ask, "Did I come here for you to insult me because I will leave."
"Leave and the little old lady dies." Her face turns serious then all of a sudden she's smiling again. "Ok so basically, I want him," she points to my man.
"Ha! Try again."
"If I don't get him then she dies."
"Why do you want my boyfriend. Are you jealous of me or something?"
She glares at me and says, "Nobody's jealous of you. He just doesn't deserve you. He deserves someone perfect, like me!"
"Yeah, we're leaving," Seb says laughing as he stands up. "This is insane and a waste of my time."
I sigh, standing up with him. I hate to say it, but he's right. She's obviously not the person we need to talk to.
"Don't you want to know who I'm working with?" she asks innocently.
"Nope," Emilian says quickly.
"Fine then I guess we'll have to do this the hard way," I watch as she pulls a gun out, pointing it to me and my eyes widen. The first thing I do is put my hands up.
"Sit down!" she shouts.
"Put the gun down or you're dying today," Seb tells her calmly. Is this man serious?
"Are you dumb?! I'm the one with the gun. Sit down!"
"No, we're leaving," Seb takes my hand.
Her facial expression turns angry and the next few moments are in slow motion for me. "Time to die." I watch as her fingers slowly pull the trigger and a smirk appears on her face.
I shut my eyes tight ready for impact but after a few seconds, the only thing that can be heard is a click. Turning to Seb, I quickly wrap my arms around him tightly.
He hugs me back and kisses my forehead, "It's ok, love, we're leaving. Go to the car and shut the door."
I shake my head and before I walk out, I take a glance at Sara. There's a shocking expression displayed on her face.
I get into the car and close the door, locking it to be safe. How the hell did I not realize how crazy she was after 6 years? Hopefully, I'm better at picking friends in the future. Maybe I should invest in a male best friend.
I pause for a second, why the hell I'm talking about new friends when I just had a near-death experience. Am I the crazy one?
Suddenly, the driver's door opens and shuts. Seb gets in, wearing a new outfit.
"Baby, where're your other clothes?"
"I had to change." Change? Oh no.
"Tell me the truth. Did you kill her?"
"No, but I shot her. It would've been good if she died," he says adjusting his jacket.
"Where'd you get the outfit?"
"Cleanup crew," he responds.
"Oh." Of course, he has a clean-up crew.
"Baby am I supposed to be okay right now? Why don't I feel anything?" It feels as if didn't just had a gun pointed at me.
He turns to me, cuffing my face, "You're good baby, you're just in shock. Eventually the emotions will take over, but I'll be right here to hold you."
I sigh and look out the window. Why does this stuff happen to me?
He starts the car and drives off to our home. The whole ride he holds my hand and kisses me every few minutes.

As soon as we get home, she lets everything out and I don't know what to do or say. I'm so used to this now and I forgot how it truly feels to look death in the face.
Although that may seem like a good thing, I never want her to be like me. I don't want her to be numb or emotionless in these situations. I want her to cry and I want her to express her feelings because that's one thing I never could've done for years, until I met her.
I watch as she cries and snuggles more into me with her head laying on my chest. As I massage her scalp, I place multiple kisses on her forehead.
"Can you look at me for a second, baby?"
"No," she wines. "I look ugly when I cry," she sniffles.
"So? I love you when you're ugly too."
"Shut up," she looks up at me and pouts. "I hate you."
"Mhm. Want to tell me how you feel right now?"
She begins to play with my jewelry and say a soft no, "No."
"Why not?"
"I don't like talking about feelings."
"Why?"
"Becauseee," she drags out.
"Because what?" She doesn't respond.
"Baby, talk to me," I place my hand on her back and massage it to make her comfortable.
"It's scary and that was something I never thought would happen to me. Just imagine if she actually shot me."
"I don't ever want to imagine that baby."
"I don't want to imagine you gone either, but the reality is that everybody dies. Plus, you put your life at risk ever time you step out of this house. It's scary, baby."
"I know." I honestly don't know what else to tell her because she's right and it's my fault. She entangles our fingers.
"Seb why is your hands so cold?"
"Maybe because I'm a cold person," I joke.
"No, you're not," she pecks my lips and smiles. "You're a big softy and I love it." I look away blushing. Get it together man.
"Awww you're blushing," she grins.
"I'm not," I smile.
"Have I ever told you that you're smile is beautiful," she admires me, with pure love in her eyes.
"I don't think you have, but thank you," I smile. "I see that you are feeling better."
"Yes and it's because of you," she gives me a small smile.
"Shall we cuddle and watch Loki?" I ask her.
"I'd like that."
"I'll get the snacks," I kiss her temple. "Do you have any specific requests?"
"Orange juice and M&Ms."
"Alright, don't start without me!" I jog out of the room.
She giggles, "I won't, but be quick."
