WANIYA'S POV:
"Tell me what?" Mirha and I were unaware of Shayan's presence, as he stood quietly at the room's threshold. The light from the hallway cast a soft glow around him, creating a subtle contrast to the room's dimness.
My thoughts were swirling in confusion and anxiety, especially as I grappled with the decision to reveal the truth: Ezzah is, in fact, Zeeshan's daughter.
The weight of this secret hung heavily in the air and everyone could feel the tension building. I was contemplated whether I should finally share this revelation with Shayan or not.
"Shayan, I need to tell you something," I said. "Waniya, are you okay?" he penetrated the room taking a few steps towards the bed where Mirha and I were settled. I nodded.
"Shayan, I wanted to tell you who's daughter Ezzah is," Shayan's frowned expression mutated into a questioning look.
"Waniya, I have already informed youâI don't want to comprehend about your past. Waniya, that was your past. Ezzah and I are your current and your future," he held my hand and stroked it gently with the pad of his thumb.
"But-," he didn't let her finish my sentence. "Waniya, terminate it," he should know. I can not conceal it from him. "She is Zeeshan's daughter," I unveiled it.
"Zeeshan Baig?" he questioned me, and I nodded. "I didn't mean to secrete from you. He doesn't comprehend Ezzah being his daughter and If I had any knowledge about Zeeshan existing as your opponent. I would have-," he cut me off.
"Waniya, it's alright. I indicate it's acceptable but if you still contain feelings forâ," I cut his sentence. "No, I don't," Mirha skimmed at me.
"Waniya, he won't harm you. And if he ever questions about Ezzah, just inform him she is my daughter," Waniya was taken by his suggestion that's what she has done, already.
I wish Zeeshan never learned about Ezzah, existing as his daughter. "Take care and don't worry, hmm?" I hummed in response and he caressed my hair and he penetrated the room.
"Niya, you lied to him," my absolute concentration got repositioned to Mirha, sitting right beside me.
"I didn't," I snapped back. "Waniya, stop lying to yourself. I have seen it," I didn't want to accept it but deep down I knew she was right.
I, nevertheless, love him, learning what happened years ago.
"I never questioned you, what transpired when you got pregnant with Ezzah but don't avenge yourself and him, if it's not worth it. You have already stood through enough," she was right but I couldn't go back, I couldn't.
"Mirha," I called her. "Waniya, main hu tumhare sath, sab theek hojaye ga," she hugged me. (Everything's gonna be okay.)
"Now, tell me who is he?" I grew my brows at her and choked on the air she was breathing. "He.... woh.....," and I smiled. "Oh my goodness, look at you, Irha."
"Stop, teasing me, Waniya," she blushed. I didn't interrogate further but I had a notion that she was seeing someone. Who? I had no idea.
AUTHOR'S POV:
Shayan's study looked like aftermath of a hurricane, with chaos settling in every corner. Shattered vases lay strewn across the floor.
Papers and files were flung haphazardly, cluttering the desk, overflowing onto chairs, and creating a chaotic tapestry of his thoughts. Organized shelves now stood in disarray, books tumbling out.
He was responsible for this turmoil, having given in to his frustrations. The urge to lash out swirled within him like a storm, yet no outlet seemed to provide relief.
The weight of Waniya's information sat heavily on his chest, igniting a fiery conflagration in his veins that sparked anger and desperation.
He felt a tsunami of emotions battling for control. Since the day he got to about the Baigs, he was jealous. Jealous of a specific Baig. Zeeshan Baig, he envious of him because Zeeshan has everything.
Everything, Shayan could ever dream of, money, lifestyle, a perfect loving family, and all the additional luxuries someone could ever imagine.
"Zeeshan, Zeeshan, Zeeshan. I will eliminate your bliss. I will never allow you to live peacefully," he tossed another vase on the floor, to his lucky fate the rooms of Waniya's house were soundproof.
He couldn't digest the fact; that Ezzah was Zeeshan's daughter. His rival's daughter was living in the exact same house as him, the hatred began to come to pass in his heart for a five-year-old.
But he can't reveal it, not up to the time he marries Waniya and gains control of her brand. He needs to persist in his facade.
He needs to devise a careful plan to clear himself from the situation involving his daughter, but how can he go about it?
The choice of strategy is up to him to determine, and he must weigh his options meticulously to ensure the best outcome for both of them. He needed to get rid of her.
He needed to devise a comprehensive and foolproof plan for eliminating the Baigs once and for all. This was no simple task; it required careful consideration of every possible angle and the consequences of his actions.
Additionally, he had to figure out a way to discreetly remove Ezzah from the equation without drawing attention to her disappearance.
However, one crucial detail loomed over him: he could not allow Zeeshan to discover that Ezzah was his daughter.
Shayan was nevertheless uncertain about his plan owing to the fact that Ezzah being Zeeshan was completely new and unpredicted for him.
~
Zeeshan's Sunday went in a blur, he endeavored not to assume about Waniya but it seemed like her thoughts weren't inclined to leave his mind no matter how hard he tried not to be in a brown study about her but nothing helped him.
Ahaan and Zoya noticed the sudden change in his demeanor, they were aware of the reason. They knew Zeeshan, it was him, stubborn, always getting everything he wanted.
Zeeshan was stuck somewhere - giving her timing or he should go fetch her back. He was dreading losing her, again that too in front of his own eyes. It was demanding for him to witness the girl he had always loved with someone who hurt his sister's sentiments and left her broken. He wanted to guard Waniya from Shayan.
"Zeeshan," Amjad (his father) called him. "Huh?" he couldn't comprehend what was happening around him.
He was at the table in the middle of having dinner with his family but he was engrossed in his chain of thoughts.
"Kaha ho? Aanya kabse bula rahi hai," Amjad said and Zeeshan looked at Anaya.
(Where are you lost? Aanya is calling for a while.)
"Chachu, ap mujhe ice cream khilane le ke jao gaye," Zeeshan smiled at her. "Han, kal chale gaye," she grinned hearing him. (Uncle, will you buy me ice cream?) (Yes, tomorrow.)
Anaya reminds him of Ezzah.
"Ezzahâis she my daughter? Her eyes and the curve of her nose. The similarities were striking. Whereas, there wasn't a demand that Waniya would lie to me. Why would she? I ought to encounter it outâ" his thoughts were again cut off but this time by his mother.
"Zeeshan, bas ab tum shaadi karlo, takke main Amna ki tarf ao," Amna choked on the water she was drinking. (Get married, Zeeshan. I need to marry off Amna too.)
"Mujhe Shaadi nhi karni, ap Farhaan ki karde," Zeeshan was clear about his point.
(I don't wanna get married. Get Farhaan married.)
"Zeeshan," Aahaan gritted his teeth. "Maa, ap meri shaadi ka souchana chor dein," Zeeshan said. (Stop thinking about my marriage, mom.)
"Zeeshan tum kisiko pasand karte ho?" Saira asked him. He didn't answer it. "Kon hai wo?" she asked him. (Do you like someone?) (Who's she?)
"Hum baad main baat kare gaye," he stood and left the table. (We'll talk later.)
"Maa, ap chor dein. Iska dimag kharab hogya hai. Ab rishte dekhna shuro karde," Aahaan said, though his mother wasn't completely persuaded. (Mom, leave. He has lost his brain. You can look for proposals.)
Zeeshan was the tranquil child among the four of them. He used to get agitated but over time, he had altered his nature.
Zeeshan was changing, again and his mother was worried for her child, again.
