Sharon finally knew what was going on. She crossed her arms and said,"So I guess I'm the only here who doesn't know about this marriage."

"You lied to me, along with your son. We've been together for many years and this is what you do to me," Sharon cried.

When Greg heard Sharon blame his father, his blood boiled. He turned to Sharon and said,"I told my Dad not to tell you. I know your every move, Auntie. I know you still want me to end up with Tina. Why? Have you been unhappy all these years with my father? Do you regret marrying into this family because my father and the Xiao family couldn't make you a rich wife? Anger built up inside Fred when he heard Greg.

"Greg, that's enough!" Fred shouted to stop Greg from saying anything else. He had developed his own feelings for Sharon. And, if Sharon decided to leave, he would not be able to let her go.

Sharon was silent at Greg's words. With Greg, she had become an open book. He was right about everything, except for one thing. She couldn't leave Fred. She still wanted to stay by Fred's side. Violet stayed silent throughout all the arguments. She was afraid she might make the situation worse if she said anything.

Fred took deep breaths to calm down. He knew it was the first time Violet had come to their house and he didn't want her to feel embarrassed. And he knew his son's temper well.

"Come now, Greg, Violet. Auntie has prepared lunch for us. Let's sit and enjoy it," Fred invited the couple while he smiled a reassuring smile to Violet.

"Okay, thank you," Violet accepted the invitation, careful not to say anything more.

"Greg, go ahead and bring Violet to get settled at the table," Fred suggested.

Greg didn't say anything. He just grabbed Violet's hand and led her to the dining room.

When the couple were gone, Fred approached Sharon and took her hands in his. "You know Greg's temper. They've already gotten married and have the certificate, so let's just stop arguing about this, okay?" Fred proposed.

"Well, why didn't you tell me earlier?" Sharon demanded, her eyebrows knotted in anger.

"If I told you, you would have done everything you could to stop the wedding. Then Greg would get mad at you and you would start to fight with each other. And I don't want the two most important people in my life to fight. I just want us to be happy," Fred explained.

"We don't need to get anything from her," Fred replied. "She's a good person, Sharon. You're gonna like her, just give her a chance."
