As Mond saw Derek and Jackson walk away, he approached Cherry and Amy.

"What are you two beauties talking about here?" He sat next to Cherry and his eyes darted towards Amy, whom he was staring at with a smile on his face.

Suddenly Joe trotted in and grabbed Mond by his arm. "How are you, Uncle Mond?" he said.

"Hi! Little Guy! How are you? I'm sure you must be very excited today with all the gifts you have received," Mond was playfully teasing Joe. But it was true. Joe was really happy today because he received a lot of gifts today from people and he wasn't expecting it at all.

Joe happily raised his head and proudly declared,"Yes! I have received a lot of gifts today!"

Amy, who was sitting next to Joe chimed in,"Joe should be declared the winner today!"

Cherry smiled happily. "Well, Joe has been looking forward to the wedding and counting days. That is why he looks like the cat that got the canary!"

Mond lovingly stretched a hand out to straighten Joe's shirt and asked him,"So Joe, do you have any good wishes for Aunt Selina and Uncle Wilson on their wedding?"

"Yes, of course I do!" Joe said. He stood straight and with a serious expression on his face repeated what he had just said to Selina and Wilson,"I told them that I wanted them to have a baby as soon as possible because I wanted a cousin to play with."

Both Cherry and Amy burst into laughter at this.

Mond put on a straight face and nodded at Joe. "I believe your wish will be fulfilled soon Joe."

"Oh, Mond. Don't make fun of Joe. He is extremely smart and intelligent," said Amy, smiling at the boy. She had been time and again blown over by the little boy's charming smartness and his IQ and EQ both!

"Is that so?" Mond turned to Cherry, looking surprised.

Cherry didn't answer Mond's question; instead she pursed her lips and said,"Joe, go find your Grandma and ask her to play with you."

"Yes Mommy. I'll go look for my Grandma." With these words, Joe released his grasp on Mond's arm and darted to look for his beloved grandmother.

As he looked at Joe's little departing figure, Mond felt a gush of love for the boy. He had been moved by his innocence, childishness and quick thinking. He loved Joe from the bottom of his heart.

But then he suddenly remembered and asked,"Where are Jackson and Derek?" Cherry recalled having seen both Derek and Jackson sitting in the nearby corner with Mond earlier. But only Mond came to them and the other two men did not come, and now they were nowhere to be seen.

"I see a lot of their political and military acquaintances here today. Perhaps they went to go greet them personally," said Mond nonchalantly.

Amy whined in a piqued voice,"Why don't they spend time with us instead? It is a wedding after all. Are those friends more important than us?"

"For a man, his work is of utmost importance," said Cherry. She was also a little agitated because Jackson had left her in a crowded and noisy place like this, to go meet his friends. He didn't even think of the fact that she was pregnant.

Amy heard the disappointment in Cherry's voice and tried to console her,"Oh, no Cherry. Don't be mad at him. He hasn't been gone for too long and he'll be back soon. You know how well he has been looking after you, so just forgive him this once. If you worry so much, it is bad for the baby."

"No! No! I'm not angry at all. My children are of utmost importance to me. Jackson isn't important to me at all. He can do whatever he wants and meet whoever he wants," Cherry said, a hint of annoyance in her voice. But in her heart, she was thinking, 'Oh Jackson, where are you? Why aren't you by my side?'

Mond was right there, listening to their conversation. He realized that women were extremely moody and their emotions were simply not stable. He was getting bored of all the women-talk now.

Suddenly Amy said,"Oh, by the way Cherry, I have amazing news to share! Derek and I will soon live near you after we get married."

"Have you bought a villa as your matrimonial home?" Cherry knew this was the only way they were going to live near them. Cherry and Jackson lived in an area of villas and living near them would mean that they had bought a villa too.

Amy's happiness was now beyond the clouds as she said excitedly,"Yes! The furnishing and design is almost complete. Just a few final touches.

Derek has given me the keys. I'm so happy!"

The first thing Cherry could think of was her son's education. "Oh that is brilliant, Amy! So now you can just walk over to give Joe his piano lessons.

And when he is old enough and goes to elementary school, maybe he can go and take piano lessons at your home all by himself!"

"Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. When we move in and have everything ready, we will talk about it," Amy said.

"Okay," Cherry nodded. She then noticed Mond sitting next to her, getting bored.

She saw his dull eyes and thought,"Oh what a good man, he must be really bored listening to me and Amy go on with our women talk. He is so polite that he did not interrupt us out of respect."
