Chapter 61: Indigo

I watch from the hallway as Matt tries to sneak yet another girl out of his bedroom at 5am, she's wearing one of his hoodies which is weird because the only girl allowed to wear his hoodies is Charlotte. They've known each other for years and have been best friends for ages but she wouldn't have sex with him.........right?

Wrong

The girl turns around to pick up her phone from the counter and the hood falls from her head, someone gasps from behind me and makes me jump. I turn around and see Oakley right behind me sipping something through a straw really fucking loudly and watching Matt and Charlotte sneak around.

"Why are you everywhere?" I say and he shrugs and waves at me.

"What's happening?" Jesus Christ.

Grey stands next to Oakley in his gym clothes all sweaty from working out and he takes Oakleys drink from his hands and drinks some while Oakley explains the situation to him. Grey nods and his eyes widen as he sees Charlotte hug Matt.

"He didn't" grey whispers and oaks nods and takes his drink back.

"He sure did" their almost as bad as my mum and Alessia.

Grey walks up to me and tries to kiss me but I lean back and shove his face away with my hand.

"No thinks you're sweaty as fuck" I say and he smirks and grabs me. I get pulled into his chest and crushed in his arms as he sways side to side with me. I lift my head up to glare at him and he places a kiss to my lips. I cringe and scrunch my nose at him and he laughs.

"Me too" oaks says and grey walks to Oakley and hugs him. Sometimes I forget he's a mafia boss.

Grey whacks Oakley when oaks tries to kiss greys cheek and they go stumbling back into the kitchen and in to a heap on the floor. Charlotte looks at them in shock as they wave awkwardly at them and smile.

"Nice weather" oaks says and grey smacks him.

"It's raining you idiot"

"Nice going assholes" I say as I walk out from my hiding and Matt redirects his glare to me.

"What are you doing" Matt hisses at us and I shrug as the boys get up from the floor and dust themselves off.

"Watching you and Charlotte" Oakley says and shudders when Matt sends him an icy look.

"Excuse me" I turn around and see soph standing in the doorway with her unicorn dressed in fluffy bunny pajamas and I melt. I don't like kids but this one's just so adorable.

I walk up to her and pick her up. I hug her tightly and she yawns and rests her head on my shoulder.

"Ti amo" (I love you) she tells me and I pause.

"What?" I ask her but she's already fallen asleep again clinging to her massive unicorn and snoring lightly.

"She's learning Italian" Oakley explains as grey grabs the back of Matteo's shirt as he tries to escape the room with Charlotte.

"I don't Fucking think so" grey says and Matt rolls his eyes and turns back around.

"What are you guys doing?" Oaks asks and red coats charlottes cheeks as she blushes violently at the question.

Oaks pinches her cheek and she giggles but Matt grabs his hand and brings it down.

"Dont fucking touch" he growls and Oakley grimaces and snaps in his face.

"Dont fucking touch" he mocks and Matt steps forward to Oakley.

"GREY!" Oaks actually fucking squeals and jumps into grey who catches him and looks at me thoroughly unamused.

He drops Oakley and Matt smirks slightly. I step forward and lean against the counter to observe. Matt and Charlotte definitely had sex last night.

"She's my girlfriend" Matt says quietly and Oakley chokes on air.

"Huh?" Grey says looking confused and Matt repeats himself.

"She's my girlfriend"

"Girlfriend......you've got a girlfriend" grey asks and Matt crosses his arms and rolls his eyes.

"Yes, why is that so hard to believe, and this is coming from you, before you and indigo got together I think you fucked every woman under the sun" grey clenched his jaw and shoots Matt a dirty look.

"Dont fucking start with me Matteo" he flowers and Matt grinds his teeth and pulls Charlotte to his side.

"Why are you so quiet?" Matt asks and I shrug.

"I don't have an opinion, as long as you're happy" he nods and smiles softly at me.

"Oh and Matt?" I ask and he looks to me expectantly.

"Yeah?"

"se ti fa male la uccido" (if she hurts you i'll kill her)

Oakleys eyes widen and he walks to me and gives me a gentle shove out the kitchen.

"tranquilla sorellina" (calm baby sister) he says and I give soph to him. He takes her in his arms and she snuggles into him wrapping an arm around his neck and sighing gently. I smile at the two of them and head upstairs.

I lay on my bed and look up from my phone when grey walks in and goes into the shower, he emerges a few minutes later dressed in a black dress shirt and trousers. He puts his watch on and runs a hand through his hair.

"I love you" I say and he pauses to look at me, he raises and eyebrow and walks over to me slowly.

"What's that for?" He asks and I shrug while he kisses my lips and puts a knee on the bed.

"I just love you grey, you saved me....you really did" he looks at me and his eyes soften.

"I love you too baby" he replies and looks at his watch.

"Late for something?"

"Yeah I've got a meeting in 10 minutes but I want to stay with you" he says and smiles boyishly at me.

"Stay then" I tell him and he nods and kicks off his shoes like and excited child.

"That excited to cuddle me?" I ask and he stops and glares at me.

"Cuddle?" I nod slowly and laugh at how his smile fades into a sulk.

He lets out a deep sigh and lays himself in between my legs with his head resting on my stomach and his hands around my waist. He takes a breath and closes his eyes.

"10 minutes" he whispers and I smile at him

10 minutes.

There's a knock on my door and I look down to see grey still asleep.

It's been 40 minutes.

My mums head appears around the door and she smiles.

"All the men have been waiting for ages for Greyson to start the meeting, now I know why he's late" she says and I think she'll leave us alone until a shoe comes flying to greys head and whacks him.

"What!" He shouts and shoots up looking around confused, his eyes land on me and he glares slightly.

"It wasn't me" I say and nod my head to my mother who's muttering about punctuality and reputation.

"Greyson Benjamin King get your ass out of bed and downstairs" another voice joins in and Alessia sticks her head round the door.

"I'm going, Jesus Christ" he mumbles and kisses me as he gets up.

"Love you baby" he winks at me and leaves.

I shake my head at him and look to the door where Alessia and my mother still stand there smiling like a couple of idiots. They wave and leave my room.

"Oh yeah indi?" My mum says reappearing around her door and I nod for her to continue.

"Make sure you get ready, after the meeting the other dons wives and children are coming over so get ready" she says and I groan.

"Ok" I reply and get up to shower.

Roger looks at me from the end of the bed and sighs.

"Me too buddy"

I walk down the stairs and see grey taking to max the leader of the Croatian mafia who's stood with his wife and 2 teenage kids that are both a few years younger than me. I'm dressed in a black sparkly spaghetti strap dress and black strappy heels.

Grey looks over at me and smirks I blush slightly and go over to him, he introduces me and max holds out his hand for me to Shake. I look at it and determine that I will shake his hand he seems nice enough.

"Nice to meet you indigo" he says and I nod not saying anything. I don't know this guy I don't think it's rude to not say it back because I'd rather be in bed right now.

Grey nudges me and I step on his foot. He winces slightly but keeps a straight face as he excuses us and leads me towards the kitchen where no one is. I spot bea who waves at me enthusiastically and smile.

"Could you not be rude to any one here please" he says and I shrug.

"I don't like lying" I say and he groans exasperated and runs a hand down his face.

"You're so difficult" he says and I put his shoulder.

"Poor you" I reply and walk out the room to Amelia who's trying to get Sophie away from the little boy that I think is the son of Julien the Australian mafia boss.

"Soap" she turns around to me and crosses her arms as the little boy holds her hand.

"No fucking way, none of that you little shit let go of her" grey scoffs as he walks up to them and tries to pick soph up but the kid won't let go of her. He shakes his head at grey and holds up a toy gun that's about the size of his small hand.

"Woah woah woah" Oakleys voice joins he conversation and he asses the situation.

"Just put the gun down little dude" he says slowly walking towards the sulking child.

It reminds a bit of grey.

"It's a toy you fucking idiot" Elliot says as he too walks over and simply grabs the gun out of the kids hand and detaches the things hand from soph.

The kid starts to cry and sob loudly and Elliot rolls his eyes and picks it up.

"Look, stop crying it's annoying. You don't get to touch Sophie but you can hold hands with indigo" he says and I back away as he walks towards me with now smiling gremlin in his arms.

"No" I say as Elliot passes it to me and walks away. Grey laughs and watches as the kid pulls at my hair and looks into my eyes. I hold it at arms length and try to find julien.

I eventually find him talking with Maurice who laughs at the sight and midges julien. He turns around and laughs out loud as he sees the kid and walks over to take it from me.

"Alright indigo?" He says in a strong Australian accent and I nod as I see Maurice smiling.

"Just make sure he stays away from soph unless you want a dead kid" I say as I nod over to all the boys who have formed a circle around soph discreetly so she can't get out and are having conversations with various different people. When she tries to get out one of them simply pushes her back slightly with their leg so he face disappears again and I smile.

"Ok I'll keep him here" julien says and smiles at me. I nod and walk away to see Bea who keeps trying to get mav to eat some type of cake she's found. From where? I have no idea.

"Just eat it" she pleads with him and he gently pushes her hand away.

"Why can't you eat it?" He ask and she shrugs and pokes his cheek much to his annoyance.

"I want to know if it's edible or not before I eat it" she explains and mav sighs as I reach them.

"Hello sunshine"I say and he sticks his middle finger up at me.

"That's not nice mav" Bea says and hugs me tightly.

"I missed you lots" she says and I smile at the bumble bee earrings she's got in.

"I missed you to, maybe I can get me to eat the cake?" I suggest an she nods and hands me the hand sized bit of chocolate cake. I walk up to mav who glances at me from the corner of his eye whilst talking to the Albanian mafia leader, Gerald and his wife Stacy.

I shove the cake in his face and smile.

"Edible?" I question and Gerald and Stacy laugh loudly drawing attention to us and I hear my mother curse at my antics from somewhere in the room.

"Indigo" mav says in a strained voice.

"How's the cake?" I ask and cock my head smiling as he reaches up to wipe off some icing from his mouth. His whole face is covered in chocolate cake. I take my phone out and snap a photo of me putting my thumbs up with his face next to me.

"You have 2 seconds to run" oh fuck.

Grey steps in between us smiling and he laughs once he sees Mavs face up close. We look at each other and laugh harder. That is until something sloppy lands all over my face and I close my eyes.

I bring my hand up to my face as the room goes silent and wipe whatever's on me off, it's wine. I look at grey and he's got some kind off pasta all over himself and we both to look to mav who's smiling triumphantly.

"Fun isn't it?" Mav asks and i pick up a a massive spoonful of the sauce for the beef and drop it on his head. It doesn't take long for most of the knightly and king families to be throwing food at each other and laughing like maniacs.

This is living.
