Chapter 41: Greyson

I follow the lady into the practice rooms where indigo and I dropped soph off, I look around and see soph in the corner sat on a block crying. I walk over to her and she looks up to me with teary eyes.

"What's wrong princess?" I ask picking her up, she's wearing a little purple tutu and leotard with a matching headband. Fucking adorable.

"I-I don't want t-to go out because I'll m-mess up and everyone will look a-at me" she stutters and more tears run down her red cheeks. I wipe them away and she looks at me with big eyes.

"Don't cry darling, you've been practicing for ages haven't you?" She nods her head and I continue while walking around with her in my arms.

"Then you'll be fine, you know what you're doing and you'll be perfect, indigo and I will be supporting you the whole time, I promise" I try and console her but she shakes her little head and lets out a sob.

"I w-want daddy" she says and i do a double take. I didn't even know she was calling Oakley daddy. I pull my phone out from my pocket and dial oaks number. He picks up and i put the phone on speaker.

"What's up?" He greets and I look over at soph who sniffles and holds my finger with her hand.

"D-daddy I don't want to go and d-dance, I'm going to mess it all up, I'm S-scared" Oakley is quiet for a second before he replies.

"Hey don't cry sweetheart, greys with you isn't he?"

"Y-yeah"

"I know you'll do amazing and if you mess up which you won't because your fucking perfect-"

"OAKLEY LANGUAGE" Am shouts and I hear it through the phone, soph giggles and Oakley sighs.

"Anyway, If something goes wrong or you can't do it, it doesn't mean you're any less amazing than you are now. I promise you'll be fine. I love you sweetheart and you'll do amazing" Oakley finishes and soph smiles at the phone.

"Ok love you too" she chirps and I hang up the phone, she looks up at me and gives me a weird looking smile.

"Hey bear?"

"Yeah" I say skeptically and she motions for me to lean down. I put my ear near her mouth and she whispers a request in my ear. I pull my head away and shake it.

"No no fucking way, you're cute and shit but that is not happening" I close my eyes and put her down when she tries to give me those cute eyes that indigo does when she wants something.

She squeezes out a tear and I cave.

"Fine ill do it"

Indigos pov

The lady steps out on to the stage In front of the large red curtain holding a mic, she walks to the middle and smiles at everyone in the audience.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, it's lovely that you've all come to watch your children perform tonight, they've all been working very hard all year for this performance so I hope you will enjoy. Please keep your phones on silent at all times, videoing is allowed without the flash on" she ends her boring speech and I almost start snoring.

"Our first performer tonight is Sophie Neil" she walks off stage as everyone claps a little and the curtain rises.

Oh. My. Fucking. God.

Grey is stood in the middle of the stage holding Sophs hand, with a headband over his messy hair. He looks incredible pissed off when he finds me in the audience. I get my phone out and hit record. The music starts and it's a classical song. Soph looks up at grey and grey forces a smile back. She begins to twirl and leap across the stage and grey follows her.

I'm crying from how funny this is, I can't breathe because of how much I'm laughing. This 6ft 4 man with huge muscles and tattoos is prancing across the stage with his 4 year old niece whilst wearing a black dress shirt and trousers, he actually kind of fits in. The hall is filled with awwws from greys gesture but I can't stop wheezing with laughter.

The music stops after a couple of minutes and grey walks off the stage after taking a little bow with soph. They disappear behind the wings and the hall erupts in cheers and clapping for what just happened. I'm so using this against him.

The next little girl comes on stage and I scroll through my messages and Snapchat. I feel a presence beside me and I look over to my right. Grey is sitting down in the seat he had before he left.

"Alright ballerina" i greet and he huffs.

"I can't believe I just fucking did that" he scoffs and I chuckle.

"I know, your swan lake dreams are finally coming true" I tell him and he pinches my side. We look to the stage and there's a little girl dancing, she falls over just as we stop talking and grey and I snort with laughter.

The people around us look at us disapprovingly and I bite my lip to hold in the laughter. Grey snickers and the little girl on stage begins to cry. The teacher runs out to her and scoops her up as if the little shits dying. It fell over, it's hardly a crisis.

We watch as the rest of the kids perform their dances and then we finally watch the group dance at the end. When they finish the curtain drops and the teacher walks back out.

"Thankyou everyone for watching tonight, please come and collect your children from the practice rooms" she says and grey shoots out of his seat. He holds my hand as we walk up the isle and into the practice rooms.

When we get to the rooms there's a sea of colours and little heads bobbing around.

"There are so many" grey whispers and I nod in agreement we scan the room for soph but I stop looking when I feel grey tense beside me.

"What?" I ask and look at him, his eyes are fixated to a corner in the room, I follow his gaze and immediately rush over to where we were looking.

A man about 6ft tall is talking to soph and she's shaking in fear, he reaches out to grab her just as grey and I reach her. I quickly pick her up and grey stands in front of us.

"What the fuck do you think your doing" grey snaps and the man looks at him with wide eyes. Greys hand is curled in a fist and put my hand over it.

"Not here grey" I tell him and he nods unclenching his fist.

"I'm talking to my daughter" the man snarls and I look at soph in confusion, she trembles slightly and looks at him then back at me.

"That's rick" she informs me and I nod in understanding. This is the fucker that used to hit Amelia and soph. This is a Amelia's ex.

"I don't know why you thought you could ever talk to her or Amelia again, but because you obviously don't understand let me make it clearer for you" I begin and put soph down, she runs over to grey and stands behind his legs, he holds his hand out for her and she grabs his finger.

I walk up to Rick and grey tenses, I look at him and nod in reassurance.

I slide the dagger out my coat and press it up against his neck, grey stands in front of us so no one can see.

"If you ever come near either of them again, I will find you and give you the most painful death imaginable, but first I'll torture you until you're begging for me to kill you and I won't, for a very long time" I threaten and he shudders and nods, I trace my dagger up his neck drawing blood and he hisses in pain. I release him and he rushes off into the crowd of parents and children.

I turn back around to soph and she gripping greys trousers in her hand, for the first time since I've met her she looks like a 4 year old instead of the adult front she puts up. She's never been able to be a child because because of all the shit she's been through and that hits home because I didn't either.

I walk up to her, pick her up, and I hug her. Grey look at us and smiles slightly before grabbing the car Keyes out his pocket and walking out to the car with us following. He opens the front door for me and I get in while still holding soap close to me.

"You can cry soph" and she finally lets out a sob. Grey gets in the car and soph reaches for him. I pass her over to him and she sits on his lap. He has one hand on the steering wheel and the other around sophie as she cries.

"Wanna drive princess?" Soph looks at him with confusion but nods. He turns her around so she's facing the wheel and he puts her hands on the wheel and his over them.

"I can do it myself" she tells him and he lets go of the wheel. Fucking idiot.

"Greyson no" I warn and he chuckles, the sound goes straight to my core and I shift in my seat. He looks over at me and smirks.

We arrive back at my house so we can drop soph off because it's only 9:20 and there's no point in Oakley and Am driving to our house when we can just drop her off here.

Grey turns the engine off and gets out the car holding soph who's fallen asleep on the drive back. We walk up the steps together and I open the door. My mum walks out the kitchen and smiles when she sees us.

"How was it?" She asks and grey walks up the stairs after greeting her to put Sophie to bed in Oakleys room.

"era interessante mamma" (it was interesting mum) she nods at me skeptically and I follow her back into the kitchen.

"So how are things with grey?" She teases and I roll my eyes at her.

"We're definitely something" I say and walk over to make a cup of tea. Enzo and hunter walk in wearing trunks. Im guessing they've been in the pool. Matteo and Elliot are quick to arrive after them and they stand in the kitchen while my mum goes around toweling their hair dry as they complain.

"What are we doing about the Russians?" Elliot asks and Matteo sighs.

"Why don't we just blow them all up and call it quits" he says and my mum slaps the upside of his head.

"There's a meeting tomorrow in my office, be there all of you" Enzo demands as he and hunter both walk out the room.

"Be there all of you" Matteo mocks and a shoe gets launched at him from the hallway.

"ASSHOLE" Elliot shouts when it hits him instead of Matteo. Matt laughs and walks out with only one croc on, i furrow my brows and Elliot follows after him. They might say they hate each other but they never do anything without the other one. Apart from fucking which they do a lot. Their in their bad boy era.

"Matt why have you only got one croc on?" My mum questions and he turns around, Elliot bumps into the back of him and huffs. To think girls find them attractive scares me.

"The other had to be sacrificed to the muddy puddle down the road" he says and my mum looks worried for them.

She kisses my cheek and heads back upstairs, i quickly go up to my room and change into greys hoodie and some shorts then I go to the movie room with my tea and i sit down on one of the big chairs. I switch on Nemo and sip at my tea.

"Want some company?" A voice that I recognize as greys speaks from behind me and smile at his presence. I put my tea down on the floor and grey walks up to the front of me. He moves me and sets me on his lap. He's changed into a shirt and sweats.

He looks into my eyes and I feel brave so I lean down and capture his lips with mine. He kisses back immediately and slips his tongue in my mouth. I moan and shift on his lap. He pushes his hips up and kisses down my neck. I lift his chin back back up and kiss him once again.

"I think I'm falling in love with you" he mumbles through the kiss and I smile at his cuteness.

"I think I'm falling in love with you too" I say and he hugs me.

We stay like that for a while until Oakleys voice ruins the moment.

"You guys are back early" he states and I look up at him, I expect grey to do the same but his head stays on my shoulder.

"Yeah, I'll show you the videos tomorrow, we're staying over. Sophs upstairs asleep on you bed" he nods.

"Any problems" I don't want him to worry about the Rick thing because I sorted that out so I shake my head, he smiles and bids me goodnight before he leaves.

I look down to grey and realize he's fallen asleep. I smile at him and rest my head back down on his shoulder.

I used to hate being away from home, it was awful because it always made think about when I was younger and the fact that I was away from my family for so long it made me dependent on them. I never wanted to leave. But sitting here now hugging the boy that's made me happy again. I realize that home doesn't have to be a place it can be a person too.

Grey is becoming my home.
