Chapter 16

Neil

These 2 days have been more hectic than the past 2 weeks because after the whole wedding was over, I finally went to the office and saw all the blunders and stuff done by my dear employees and the main reason being nothing just my absence.

And it took me a whole day to call and scold and make the employees understand how things work and to be honest, I didn't really expect anything else from them considering they are just interns. But I do remember to be strict so that wherever they go in the future they won't be like the dumb people who didn't really know anything.

I still remember my internship days... It was a great time. My boss was also a great man, if I ever have to acknowledge someone for my success he's definitely going to be on my list right after my parents.

He was strict yet Caring and Understanding which made my internship a great experience and I just wish to be like him.

Ok, so enough of the off-topic discussion, let's come to the main part, so finally, when I had cleared up all the blunders I had to again take holidays. What for? My honeymoon...

Wow !

I don't know what would be the office's condition when I come back.

I soon realized that it was a really stressful topic for me, so I decided to not talk about it till we finish our trip, because I don't want to mess up my vacation. Whatever happens at the office would be taken care of at the office only... That's my new motto.

But honestly saying, the mothers' have literally planned well than even some managers.

And so, taking into consideration their top-class planning here I am sitting on a flight, waiting for it to land soon when I see a really beautiful angelic face beside me which I soon realized to be of Kiara's.

This Girl! I truly don't want to end our marriage, but what can I do now ?

Just enjoy the moment!

Yes, whatever is going to happen in the future will happen I should not get sad by it and even destroy the present happy moments .

We're going to land in 10 minutes and still, Kiara is not yet awake... She's a heavy sleeper...like waking her up is the only thing consistent after the marriage.

And so taking in mind the consistency, I've decided to finally wake her up.

"Kiara, wake up, see we're about to land." I said while shaking her a little which immediately made her wakeup .

So now I know that to wake her up the only thing required is to shake her a little, It's fixed that I'm going to follow this for the next whatever time we are together

"huh, where are we?" She asked, still sleepy.

"On the flight, remember we are going to Paris on our supposed honeymoon but actually a friendly trip." I said trying to make her remember everything, and thank god she understood it soon and immediately came to her full senses.

"Oh, right! So did we reach? No.... I don't think so, where are we? When we'll reach?" She started talking and now I regret waking her up before landing.

"Shush, we're still in flight, and we're going to land in ten minutes, so till then sit quiet." I said in a commanding tone to which she smiled and nodded her hair innocently.

Oh God, I don't ever wanna imagine a day when she's not with me, I hope someday even she'll think the same and we both have our ever after!

Kiara

Oh the beautiful city, I'm loving it, we landed here an hour ago and now we're on our way towards our hotel in a cab and the view outside is just so fabulous, I cannot even express it, it's so good.

I just can't wait to visit the whole city and wander while feeling the beauty, Neil sitting next to me is also looking outside the window with a very happiness-filled face, I guess even he's enjoying the beauty of the city.

Thank God, I don't have an oh-so-serious husband like Wattpad novels or I would've been so bored, enjoying everything by myself.

After about an hour's travel from the airport, we finally reached our hotel and checked in, and   oh my my it was so beautiful,  just like the ones you see in the movies or heard mostly from your seniors flexing about.

"So Neil, where are we first visiting? And also let's have some food first I'm dying from hunger." I said immediately after we entered the room while lying on the big cozy bed .

"Kiara, we've just entered, first go and freshen up after that we'll order something" He said in a authoritative voice.

"No, you go first." I said to him, to which he nodded with his eyes giving the warning to be ready to go immediately after he comes back, but me being me, was clearly enjoying the warmth of the bed even when I heard him coming out of the bathroom wearing some casual wear.

"Kiara, now go fast, or we aren't gonna have food now, we'll directly have dinner." He said, making me sit up with a jerk.

"No, you cannot do this to me, it's my first day here, I just want to enjoy let me do so." I said in a complaining tone.

"Kiara." He said in an authoritative tone.

"Hmph, happiness spoiler!" I said, while jumping from bed.

"I'm not a happiness spoiler, you're the one who's more than excited and lazy." he said and I looked at him with an angry expression.

"It's better to be over-excited sometimes ,you know." I said while he was busy setting the bags .

"Oh! Is it so? thank you so Kiara for telling me this, I didn't know." he said in a sarcastic manner.

"Oh, the oh so smart, intelligent person in the world doesn't know such a basic thing, such a Shame." I said with fake disappointment.

Ooh, Cool comeback!

"Kiara, maybe it'll be better if you get fresh first, and we'll continue our fight later." He suggested.

"Why? What happened? Ran out of replies? Knew it. Nobody can win an argument against me." I said while proudly flipping my hair.

"Kiara, you don't even wanna know about what all replies I have. So it's better you go, freshen up, and come otherwise forget about the food." Neil said and I looked at him as if someone asked for my kidney.

"That's not fair." I said with disbelief.

"Oh dear wife, everything is fair in love, war, and arguments. And if you continue this trust me it'll definitely start a war." Neil said calmly, and now I knew I have no choice left so I just left for the bathroom while taking the clothes from my bag.

"At least you order something so that it comes soon and we have a little time more to roam in the city." I shouted from the bathroom hearing only a hmm in response.

After having a nice warm shower, I felt all the tiredness vanish and me being reading for even running a marathon.

jokes aside, I can't even run a 200m race without having a  severe oxygen deficiency after the race

Leaving the thought aside, I quickly went out to see that our food has arrived and he was waiting for me.

"Oh wow, I didn't expect you to be so fast in following my words." I said, throwing the towel on the bed and looking at the food, and I know my this action definitely irked him to no extent because he literally left his phone like kept his ongoing work aside just to pick up the wet towel from the bed and

did something I clearly did not expect,

hand it over to me

"Kiara, first go and keep it in the washing bag, then only you'll have the food." he said, and hearing this I picked up my best, please-I'm-sad-and-I'm-about-to-cry look but,

"Don't make faces ,they don't look good on you, go and keep this towel then we can have food." He said, and since I can never control hunger and fighting with him was basically useless so I quickly took the towel, kept it in the washing and came back all within a span of 2 minutes.

"Good, come let us have food." he said signaling me towards the seat on the opposite seat I quickly agreed and sat opening all the lids one by one, smelling the delicious aroma and going to the happiest state of my mind.

"If you're done staring and smelling, can we eat now?" I heard a voice burst my bubble of happiness.

"No doubt, happiness spoiler is a great name for you." I said to him in a stating-a-fact tone.

"Kiara, really you wanna argue?"

"Yes, arguments are the best. and being a lawyer, I love them and never really lose any argument." I said, and he gave me a proud smile before again saying ,

"I'm not interested though" he said and started eating food, I wanted to say something but since I was already hungry, I decided not to and started eating and we both finished our meal continuing the bickering we were doing earlier, just keeping in mind we are eating too.

"So, Kiara, where'd you want to go?" He asked me with an enthusiasm-filled voice but the food really had made my mind go in so much peace that all I wanted to do is have an amazing sleep

"Oh come on, don't be a spoilsport, see I'm so excited and ready" He cribbed.

"Oh, Neil, please, just an hour, I promise." I said and he nodded before getting on the bed and lying beside me.

"Fine, let me also take some rest, and then we'll directly go to the night market and enjoy." He said.

"Yes, Thank you so much!" I said and hugged him, while we both were lying down, not realizing what I'd done, I quickly fell into a deep sleep.

Oh my god!

Kiara hugged me, the girl I like who's also my wife hugged me!

I was so happy that it made squeal a little but just one shhh from her made me quiet and then even I fell asleep thinking about the 2-second happiness I just got.
