Weapon - 15

Erica's POV

I stretched my arms and yawned as I woke up early and then went downstairs to get breakfast. We stayed at this town for a few days but now I think it's time for me to go find the weapon. I then saw Takeo sleepily rubbing his eyes and yawned. He sat down next to me and I rubbed his head as we continued eating.

I then took a bath and started to prepare materials to protect myself from poison or from the beast. Maybe I could tame one? I would be OP! I smiled to myself as I hummed a song from Earth. Takeo listened and I then looked at the inside of the ring to find evrything all packed up.

"Let's go." I commanded. He nodded and we began walking. I was wearing a black crop top, with a cool royal blue cape that looks like it's been ripped in the bottom but it isn't. Its just the design~

For the lower part, I wore ripped jeans and my trusty red sneakers. We then walk as I waved good bye at the kind inn lady who gave us some snacks for our journey.

We walked for ours and misquitos here and there would buzz around near so I burned it with my magic. I then stopped and grabbed my wand from my ring and listened closely.

"A group of Horned Wolves are coming. 5 or 6." I nodded at Takeo as I then prepare myself to attck them.

They then came out from the darkness. They were as big as my knee, they have dirty gray or brown fur, hungry red eyes, and sharped teeth with a horn at the top of its head. I smirked and changed my wand to my Kusarigama. My weapon that is a sickle attached to a very strong ribbon that I requested. It was dark violet and shiny. I then attacked one by swinging it to the neck of one of the Horned Wolves. They snarled at me for killing him and then pounced at me. I slashed, and dive away, then jump to a branch and another branch. I then change it to guns and started shooting at them. I was smiling and forgot that I was in a branch and slipped. I then heared running and a few slashes and silence. There were no snarling, nor running. Just the rustling of the trees were heard.

I look up from the bush I fell on and saw Takeo in a male teenager form. He looked really handsome even if he's still young. He could be a model. I then saw him put back gis katana and it disappeared like it was not there to begin with.

"You've grown up." I said as I dust off the dust from my clothes.

"Your too cocky. Don't forget where your standing." He reminded as he held out his hand. I grabbed it and smiled bitterly at what he said. 'Too cocky, huh.'

I then set out the tents as Takeo grabbed some wood and hunted some meat to cook. I sighed and looked around me. Takeo was no where near nor were there any beast around. I then stretched my legs and jumped up from branch to branch to reach the top of the tree. I saw a mountain to the East of us so I guess I am to go there. A few kilometers from here but it was alright.

I jumped back down and saw Takeo putting the wood in the circle of rocks that I found. There was no river near us so we couldn't take a bath or catch fish. So we decided to kill rabbits and collect berries and check in the book that I brought if it's poisonous. Takeo killed rabbits while I collected some wild berries with some magical properties, not harmful but weird.

I then ate some of the bread the inn lady gave to us, and shared some to Takeo. He was back to his kid form now so he went back to looking cute. 'I wonder how he changed how he looked.'

We then slept that night uncomfortable, taking shifts to check if we were safe or not. We started walking towards East where I saw earlier, the mountain as light started pouring to the sky. There were some fights here and there but there were nothing major. We arrived after a few days of walking towards the mountain, and made a campsite just far from it to avoid danger, but near it to quickly go there.

We did what we did last time. I put the tents, Takeo gets the wood. Then we got food. 'Wow that kinda rhymes.'

We did a good job and have improved on cooking food in the wilderness. We slept that night and took shifts as well. It was morning and we took our things and prepared ourselves to enter the cave.

I gulped down and walked with Takeo, helding my wand tight.

It was dark so I chanted to make light appear and follow us in wherever we go. We continued to walk down the cold cave and we saw a giant heavy door stopping us from entering. I looked around and found a button that almost blended well with the wall.

"How did you do that?"

"Pressed the button. Duh." I rolled my eyes.

"I didn't even see it there."

"It was camoflouging." I pointed at it and continued walking inside. The light following us making us see some drawing and carvings inside the wall, probably someone painted history here. We then heard a roar and that's where I thought that there might be a Lion here. It's roar was loud, strong and powerful like the roar of a king when mad. I looked and saw a shadow with the shape of the lion and held out my wand, prepared to chant a spell.

"Oh holy Phoenix of flame, make me a whip of fire >" I held my wand with my right hand and prepared to attack the beast. Takeo pulled out his wand from his sling bag and started to chant some of his wind magic.

A mighty force made the cave shake a bit. It revealed itself from the shadows and out came out a fully grown lion with it's fur replaced with scales. I then stared at its dark black eyes and it growled.

"Welcome human, to the first part of the challenge. Pass through me by killing me or passing through me, which would never happen." It began running towards me but I quickly ran away, almost tripping myself. I balanced back and saw it running towards me again. I ran to it's left and I quickly whipped his body and it roared.

"What is this fire? It is no normal flame!" He cried. He stopped at looked at me in the eyes. I held my wand tightly and chanted some fireballs at him.

"No chatting then." Bored he easily pass through the fire balls. Takeo suddenly jumped and attack his back with wind blades but it only made a scratch on the hard scaled skin.

"You cannot beat me with simple spells!" He boasted. My chest rose up and down quickly and I wiped my sweat that was forming on my forehead. We began continously attacking the lion but he dodged them all and when we hit it's scaled skin, it mearly just scratches him.

"Hahaha! Stupid human! I am far too stronger than you!" He roared and then I thought of an idea. When the skin is hard on the outside, then attack on the inside. I then attack but used weaker and smaller spells and began thinkinf of a plan.

'Chat on: Takeo, don't use all your mana. I know a way to attack him.' I began telepathically telling him my plan as we slowly fought and use spells that cost less mana.

"Your weak! Nothing but a-" But before he could continue that sentence, I then blasted an Explosion fire spell into his mouth. He burned to ashes and all that remains of him are dust. I looked away and went to Takeo for any injuries. I was breathing in short pants as I ran up to him.

"Are you okay?" I looked at him and searched up and down.

"I'm okay." There were only few scratches so I think he was fine. We stayed here for the night since it was warm because of magic and it was already nightime when they finished battling. We ate some food and slept.

We woke up exhausted and ate some bread for breakfast. We then continued the way inside the cave and inside was an 8 ft. Minotaur sitting on a throne of stone. He blew warm air through his nose as he stood up. He stood tall, with his huge chest of a warrior, a bull's beefiest legs for his lower, a face of a wild bull with a human feature which is the mouth, and two huge horns on the top of his head. He was wearing only some old red pants, and a sleeveless jacket. He had lots of packs, and muscles that it was kinda scary.

"You have killed the first guardian of the Great Weapon. I am your second challenge." He grabbed his war axe from his back as he swung it towards our direction. Sharp wind was created and we jumped away. He sliced through a little part of my neck and little blood went out.

"Can we have a time out?" I ask him. I didn't wait for his permission and grab my bandage and rolling it to my neck and cut it off.

"Let's continue!" He coughed with his human hand that is thicker than most men's and a lot stronger like he could punch a wall and the whole building will collapse. We started to appraoch him with our weapons, but before we could a wall of stone rose from the ground surronding us. No- not surronding us, it was forming a maze, traping us in. It was like a the labrynth from the stories of greek mythology regarding the minotaur. I clicked my tounge in annoyance as I listened at the stone rising. It was a rough sound and it suddenly stopped.

"Follow me." I told Takeo. I reached out my hand but before he could grab it, a thin wall stopped our hands from touching and making us seperate.

"Erica!"

"Takeo!" I tried smacking the wall with my strength but it was strong like magic was reinforcing it.

"Will have to seperate! Don't get distracted! When you see the Minotaur, don't attack him carelessly! Just find the exit!" I yelled over to him.

"Right. Be safe!" I nodded even though he can't see me. I began walking to the only way I saw that led me somewhere.

It was a bit dark and eerie as I walked alone, I heard some weird sounds from a far like a party. I felt my stomach tied into a knot but I breathed in and out and brought out my weapon. I followed the music and what I saw made me cry.

It was my past family, enjoying themselves. I wasn't there. There were parents, my grandparents from my mother's side, my big sister, my cousins, my aunts and uncles, and a new child that evryone was doting on. It was a celebration for her birth. Tears were falling down my face. I suddenly heard the Minotaur's voice.

"How sad it is indeed. I wonder what would happen if they were to die?" He spoke in a cold, chilling manner. It was horrific and it sent chills through my spine.

Suddenly, the happy party changed and everyone was dead, blood was splattered everywhere and everything was a mess. There was no party but only death. I wailed in despair, I kneeled in the cold stone I was standing it on and began smacking the floor. It hurt but I didn't feel it, I felt numb and I wished to die.

"Why don't you join them? It will all be over. You can be with your family." He whispered into my ears. I stopped crying and looked around. There, I saw a dagger in a table. I stood up and began walking towards it. Inching closer as I made slow steps towards it.

'Everything will all be over if I were to just die. I would be with my family.'

I held the dagger towards my chest. And closed my eyes as a tear went down.

My first ever cliff hanger! I am so proud of myself!

Anyway, it turns out, bad luck is on my side...

After the tiring event- we now have tests this week.

I will try to post a longer chapter for this week, but I'm not sure I could since my parents are very strict with my education.

Anyway, Im glad that I have been gaining more readers
