Chapter 18: Kestian
Devil Like Her
"So how long will you be gone" David asked.
"A month." Kestian said "technically its a month at minimum."
"So why do you have to go again?"
"Itâs my boss he has very strong opinions about guild rules."
"But I thought you technically weren't in a guild."
"Exactly!" Kestian said exasperated. They laughed and sighed. "I'll miss you while I'm gone." They said tugging David by the shirt gently closer to them.
"I'll miss you too" David said "but Iâll have something for you to look forward to when you come back."
Kestian smiled and reached a hand behind his head. "The armor is not the only thing I would look forward to on returning." They said and pressed their mouth to his in a kiss.
He returned their kiss and wrapped his arms around them. He ran his hand down their back. He stopped to firmly squeeze their ass then pull their thigh up around his hips.
Kestian worshiped with David with all the passion of saying goodbye for a length of time.
After, David helped Kestian carry their trunk full of belongings, comprising mostly weapons and pieces of armor, to the park where the circus had all but finished packing up. Cotton rushed up to them.
âKestian!â she said âyou made it, Iâm so glad.â

âof course I made it.â Kestian said and put the trunk down to embrace her. âdo you have a place where I can put my trunk? How are you feeling?â
âyesâ she gestured to her cart, âjust here.â
âperfect,â Kestian said. they picked their trunk back up and loaded it on to the cart with Davidâs help. âCotton, I donât think you have actually met David.â They said gesturing to him.
âAh, the armorer.â Cotton said and shook his hand.
âWhich makes you the ring master.â David said.
âAnd I am the Horse Thief.â The Horse Thief said announcing himself. âboss are we ready to be rolling now?â
âYes we are.â Cotton said âeveryone is here now.â She smiled at Kestian.â
Kestian took a deep breath and looked at David âIâll see you in a month.â They said âmaybe.â They added.
David chuckled âjust write, and enjoy your time off.â
Kestian smiled took his face in their hands and kissed him.
âCome by as soon as you get back.â He said.
âI will.â Kestian said.
âTime for goodbyes was half hour ago time for be moving is now.â The Horse Thief said.
âGoodbye.â Kestian said a last time.
âIâll see you when youâre back.â David said and turned and walked away.
âWe do need to get going.â Cotton said. She climbed up onto her wagon and Kestian climbed up after her. Mere moments later the circus was rolling away and there was adventure ahead of them.
