Chapter 954
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

âGreat! This is perfect!â Kyleeâs excitement was palpable. She could already envision Belindaâs misery if she were infected. The mere thought made her excited.
âBut are you sure about this? Think it over; Belinda is still, in a way, your sister. Do you really want to take it this far?â Verena asked, her concern feigned.
Kyleeâs expression twisted in revulsion.
âSister? What a joke! My mother is Carola, the eldest daughter of the Happer family, one of the four most powerful families in Soling. She only has one daughter, and that is me. I donât have a sister!â Nothing could alter that fact.
Verena smiled and said, âAlright! Since youâre determined, make sure your plan is foolproof. It has to succeed.â
After ending the call, Kylee was so excited that she couldnât sleep.
The following day.
Belinda was overwhelmed with work all morning, hardly finding time to drink some water. When she finally took a break near lunchtime, she collapsed into her chair, gulped down a large glass of water, and closed her eyes to rest.
Just then, her phone began to ring.
It rang persistently before she managed to retrieve it from her white coat.
âHelloâ¦â
âWhatâs wrong, Belinda? You sound exhausted,â Kenia said in a concerned voice.
Belinda responded, âIâm fine, Grandma. Just a hectic morning; Iâm a bit tired. Why are you calling me?â
âNo matter how busy you are, you must take care of yourself. Donât overwork yourself, alright?â Kenia said gently.
âI understand, Grandma. Donât worry, I know what to do,â Belinda replied, smiling.
After a brief pause, Kenia said, âCome home for dinner tonight.â
Belinda hesitated briefly before responding, âAlright, Iâll be there after work.â
Kenia chuckled.
âGood! Iâm cooking.â
âThen Iâm in for a treat!â Belinda said, smiling.
âAlright, I wonât bother you any longer. Get some rest. Iâll see you tonight,â Kenia said.
âOkay.â After ending the call, Belinda stood and made her way to the lounge. She was too worn out to eatâshe just needed to sleep.
In the evening, after work, Belinda drove to Vera Villas. Dinners with her family were usually warm and cheerful.
After the meal, Kenia stood and said to Sarai, âSarai, come take a walk with meâitâs good for digestion.â
âAlright,â Sarai agreed.
With that, the two left. Now, only Belinda and Holley remained in the spacious house.
