Chapter 933
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Belinda refreshed her feed, and the trending post immediately caught her eye.
The person who had posted it was Mitchell.
âDue to a misunderstanding, I wrongly accused Dr. Wright, which led to my anger-fueled comment. As a public figure, it was irresponsible of me to jump to conclusions without knowing the full story, let alone stir up public opinion. I sincerely apologize to Dr. Wright. Secondly, I failed to manage my fans properly, which resulted in one of them acting impulsively and attacking Dr. Wright. This caused harm to both Dr. Wright and the Grand Plains General Hospital. For this, I take full responsibility and apologize on behalf of myself and my fans.â
After Belinda read the post, her brow twitched slightly, but her face remained impassive.
âMitchell actually apologized?â Bethanyâs shocked voice rang through the phone.
âI canât believe it!â
Belinda remained silent. Although Mitchell could be reckless, even mischievous at times, he knew what was right and what was wrong. He wasnât the type to shy away from admitting his mistakes.
âNow heâs probably going to be disappointed in Kylee,â Bethany added.
Belindaâs tone was calm.
âThat disappointment wonât last forever. After all, Kylee is his cousin. He wonât stay mad at her for long. Besides, Lyle and Mitchell have always doted on Kylee.â
âYeah, you are right,â Bethany replied.
They chatted for a few more minutes before Belinda ended the call.
At a film set, Mitchell answered the phone.
âHey, Lyleâ¦â
âDid Kylee really make you misunderstand Belinda?â Lyle asked.
Mitchell hesitated.
âYeahâ¦â Then, he told Lyle about the penalty notice from the Grand Plains General Hospital.
After hearing that, Lyle fell silent.
He had already suspected that Kylee hadnât been telling the full truth, but he had never imagined she had outright twisted it. How could she have the nerve to claim that Belinda was the reason she got fired?
Mitchellâs voice broke through his thoughts.
âLyle, what made you doubt Kyleeâs story in the first place?â
He paused for a moment before adding with a hint of curiosity, âHave you experienced something like this with her before?â
After a soft sigh, Lyle told Mitchell about the time Kylee had slapped herself and falsely accused Belinda. Mitchellâs expression darkened instantly. His grip on the phone tightened as disbelief clouded his eyes. He couldnât believe his cousin was capable of such behavior.
