Darwin gave a slow nod.
âAlright. Iâll let him know.â

âI have to go.â Without waiting for a response, she turned and walked away.
Darwin stood there, watching her retreating figure, his thoughts swirling.
As Belinda was wrapping up her work for the day in the late afternoon, her phone rang. It was Lucas calling.
âBelinda, will you be visiting the Clark familyâs home today?â Lucasâ deep, slightly raspy voice carried a trace of anticipation.
Belinda pressed her lips together for a moment and said, âNo.â
For a moment, Lucas remained silent on the other end of the line.
After about thirty seconds, his voice finally broke the quiet.
âMy wound is a bit sore today, and the skin around it is red. Iâm not sure if itâs getting infectedâ¦â
When Belinda heard that, her eyes widened in alarm.

She was genuinely worried that Lucasâ wound might have become infected.
If it got infected, that would be a real problem!
âBelinda.â Harold was pleasantly surprised to see Belinda.
Belinda said, âI just got a call from Lucas. He said his wound was hurting, so I came to check on him.â
Haroldâs eyes flickered for a second as he replied, âThen go and check on him now.â
Nodding, Belinda hurried upstairs.
Harold raised his eyebrows, surprised at how his son had used his wound to make Belinda come here.
When Belinda reached Lucasâ room, she knocked gently on the door.
Moments later, it opened.
Lucas had just returned from work, still in his shirt.
Without a word, Belinda immediately began unbuttoning his shirt.
âLet me see the wound,â she said.
