Chapter 847
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Upon hearing Darrenâs words of reason, Belinda found them comforting and nodded immediately.
âDarren, then Iâll entrust this matter to you.â
âDonât worry,â Darren replied reassuringly. After that, he also left. Belinda felt utterly defeated and frustrated as she sat beside Lucas with downcast eyes that reflected her inner turmoil.
âDonât worry,â Lucas said gently as he leaned closer to comfort her.
âMrs. Thomas wonât remain angry with you forever; sheâll comprehend everything soon enough.â
Belinda nodded faintly but remained in low spirits as shadows of doubt clouded her thoughts.
On their way back home, Darren couldnât help but ask Mollie in a soft tone filled with concern, âMollie, are you truly upset with Belinda?â
âOf course, Iâm angry!â Mollie exclaimed, her voice tinged with a mix of anger and frustration.
âSuch a significant event took place, and Belinda didnât tell me; she concealed it from me the entire time, all because she was worried about complicating things for us. How can I not be furious?â
Mollie clearly had a displeased expression.
Darren, sensing the tension, attempted to defend Belinda, saying, âMollie, actually, Belinda is justâ¦â
âI know,â Mollie interjected.
âSheâs shaped by her familial background. If she can handle something on her own, she will. She never wishes to burden or depend on anyone else.â
Mollieâs eyes softened slightly as she continued, âSheâs also apprehensive about disturbing others or irritating them. Itâs just who she is. Iâm fully aware of all of this.â
With a sigh, she added, âThis time, I said I was angry on purpose and exited dramatically, hoping that Belinda would grasp the truthâshe doesnât have to worry about causing us trouble. I simply want her to learn how to lean on us, to know that weâre there for her unconditionally.â
After processing Mollieâs heartfelt words, Darren nodded slowly, finally understanding her perspective.
âI get it now.â
Later that evening, Bethany, Johnson, and Vincent made their way into the hospital room to check on Lucas.
Upon seeing Lucas sitting on the bed, Johnson raised an eyebrow in surprise and spoke first.
âOh! Youâre sitting up now! It appears youâre recovering pretty well.â
Lucas offered a warm smile but remained silent.
