Chapter 773
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Meanwhile, on the other side of the hot spring pool, Lucas looked at Vincent, his gaze sharp and unyielding. âFrom now on, Ryan and Verena are not welcome at our gatherings.â
Vincent nodded, a hint of regret in his voice. âI understand. It was an accident this time. Iâll be more careful next time. If they try to join us again, Iâll make sure to refuse them.â
Lucas didnât reply, staying silent.
âAlright, Lucas, donât be angry. It was just an accident,â Johnson said, trying to ease the tension.
But Lucasâ face grew more serious. The memory of seeing Belinda fall into the water earlier made him think back to the time when Belinda had nearly drowned in the pool. No one knew just how terrified and worried he had been when he had rushed into the hot spring to save her.
He feared that past incident might happen again.
Noticing the concern on Lucasâ face, Johnson tried to reassure him, saying, âDonât worry; Belindaâs fine. Sheâs stronger than we think, and sheâs working hard to overcome that fear.â
Lucas nodded quietly.
They eventually climbed out of the pool. Lucas walked over to Belinda, his gaze softening as he asked, âAre you alright?â
Belinda looked at him and nodded slightly. âIâm fine. Youâ¦â
She had planned to tell Lucas not to worry about her but hesitated.
After a pause, she said, âThanks for earlier.â
Lucas didnât respond. He simply gazed at her, his eyes intense. Feeling a bit uncomfortable under his steady stare, Belinda blinked and said, âLetâs go back.â
Everyone returned to their rooms, got cleaned up, rested a little, and then made their way to the restaurant for a meal.
When they were eating, with Ryan and Verena absent, the atmosphere was much more relaxed and pleasant.
After the meal, they took a leisurely stroll around the resort, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and fresh air. Later that evening, Vincent suggested they check out the resortâs club, and everyone agreed.
They had barely settled into the club when Ryan and Verena arrived to join them. No one acknowledged Ryan and Verena. They simply ignored the two and continued their conversations as if they werenât there.
Just then, Catherineâs phone rang, and she stepped out of the private room to take the call. She found a quiet corner and answered the phone.
âCatherine, where are you?â It was Lelandâs voice on the other end of the line.
âIâm with my brother, Belinda, and the others at a resort. Whatâs up?â Catherine replied.
Leland asked, âSo, youâre not coming back tonight?â
âNo,â Catherine answered.
âTell me the address of the resort. Iâll come pick you up tomorrow,â Leland said.
âNo need for that,â Catherine answered curtly.
Leland sensed her cold tone, and after a moment of silence, he asked, âCatherine, are you still angry with me?â
