Chapter 766
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

âIâll drive tomorrow. Iâll pick you two up,â Johnson said.
âFantastic,â Bethany replied.
After ending the group call, Belinda pondered for a moment before dialing Catherineâs number.
âHello, Belinda,â Catherine answered cheerfully.
âCatherine, are you free tomorrow and the day after?â Belinda asked.
Catherine contemplated briefly before responding, âYeah, I think so.â
Belindaâs face lit up with a radiant smile. âThatâs wonderful! Then come with me, Bethany, and Johnson to the hot spring resort tomorrow!â
Catherine hesitated for a moment. âBut Belinda, will Johnson be unhappy seeing me?â
Hearing Catherineâs concerns made Belinda feel slightly resigned. How could Johnson possibly be unhappy seeing Catherine?
âDonât worry; he wonât. Trust me,â Belinda stated confidently, hoping to alleviate Catherineâs worries.
âAlright then,â Catherine replied. âI will go with you.â
âYou can leave at nine tomorrow morning with Johnson,â Belinda said.
âOkay,â Catherine said before hanging up.
After hanging up the phone, Belinda returned to the rest area for her lunch break.
The following day, once everyone was settled in the car, they set off for Crystalhill with high spirits.
Noticing Catherine seated comfortably in the passenger seat, Bethany winked at Belinda in secret.
Belinda smiled knowingly.
Although they hadnât intended to meddle in Catherine and Lelandâs relationship directly, they had created opportunities for Catherine and Johnson whenever feasible.
Crystalhill wasnât too far away; after a two-hour drive filled with animated conversations and laughter, they finally arrived at their destinationâa picturesque resort nestled amidst natureâs beauty. After the car was parked, Belinda began retrieving luggage from the trunk when Bethany suddenly nudged her gently with her elbow.
Belinda turned her head in confusion but quickly followed Bethanyâs gaze. Thereâjust a short distance awayâwere Lucas and Vincent emerging from their car.
Belinda paused for a moment, stunned.
It was no surprise that Johnson was the one who had asked Lucas to come here.
As Bethany helped Belinda with her luggage, she whispered, âI have to admit, you and Johnson are in sync this time, both wanting to surprise each other!â
Belindaâs smile was tight, her eyes betraying her lack of amusement. âThis isnât the kind of surprise I enjoy.â
Bethany chuckled but didnât say anything more.
Just then, Lucas and Vincent approached them.
âWe had some free time, so Lucas and I decided to join the fun,â Vincent said, grinning.
Belinda couldnât help but roll her eyes.
Seriously?
