Chapter 631
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Belinda stepped forward and asked in a chilly voice, âWas this lounge tampered with somehow?â
The waiter nodded. âYes. Aphrodisiac incense was lit inside beforehand.â
Lucasâ handsome face immediately darkened when he heard that, and his grip on the waiterâs neck tightened. The waiter winced, his face turning red as he struggled to breathe properly. He looked like he might suffocate and die right there and then.
Belinda quickly intervened. âLucas, let him go. I need him to do something for me.â
Lucasâ expression remained grim, but he obliged and released the waiter. The waiter dissolved into a coughing fit before taking several deep breaths and gathering himself.
Belinda watched him with narrowed eyes for a moment, her mind racing. âCan you contact the person behind this?â she finally asked.
The waiter nodded eagerly. âYes. They told me to message them as soon as you were locked inside the lounge.â
Belinda paused to consider her options. âI want you to send them a message right now. Tell them thereâs been a situation, and youâre not sure how to handle it. Ask them to come over and deal with it.â
The waiter complied without hesitation and quickly sent the message.
âWait here,â Belinda instructed before turning to Lucas. âLetâs find a place to hide.â
âAlright,â Lucas replied.
After securing the perfect hiding spot, Lucas asked Belinda, âAre you sure this plan will work? Do you think theyâll really come?â
âI donât know.â Belinda shook her head. âWe can only try.â
Truth be told, she wasnât confident that this would work at all. But about five minutes later, they heard footsteps approaching down the hall. Both Belinda and Lucas held their breaths and waited for the person to appear.
Soon enough, a woman in a yellow evening gown hurried over. She looked at the waiter with a frown. âWhat happened? Where is Belinda?â
No sooner had she finished speaking than she felt a sudden, sharp pain at her neck. Everything went black, and she fell backward.
Belinda caught her without much effort. She had knocked the woman out with a single, precise strike, but it wasnât a severe blow. The woman would wake up in a few minutes or so.
Belinda gazed down at the womanâs face and let out a cold chuckle. So it was her⦠Minna!
Darwin was right, after allâthis woman was really out to get her.
Lucas glanced over and also recognized Minna. His frown deepened as he asked Belinda, âWhat should we do now?â
Belinda let out a sharp laugh, her tone icy. âLetâs use her own tricks against her!â she said without missing a beat.
