Chapter 598
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

âYou may leave now.â It was clear from Darwinâs chilly tone that he didnât want her there.
âDonât be so distant, Darwin. Weâve known each other for years.â Minna was unfazed, as she had grown accustomed to Darwinâs constant rejection over the years. She sat next to Darwin. âLetâs eat together. You donât mind, do you?â
Darwinâs expression darkened as he gave her a frosty glare. âOf course, I mind. You are not welcome here. Leave.â
Minnaâs smile faltered, and her cheeks were flushed with a mix of frustration and embarrassment.
She turned her attention to Belinda and said, âIâm sure you donât mind, right, Ms. Wright?â
âI donât exactly know you,â Belinda replied, matching the coldness that Darwin had displayed.
âAre you leaving or not?â Darwin said to Minna impatiently. âIf you donât leave, we will.â
Minnaâs face darkened. She gritted her teeth as a look of malice crossed her eyes. Darwin had made his stance abundantly clear. What else could she say?
Left with no choice, Minna stood up and turned to leave.
As soon as she was out in the hallway, she dropped her facade, and her face twisted into a mask of rage. She stormed back to her own private room, grabbed her phone, and made a call.
âHello, Minna,â Macie answered the call quickly.
âYou need to come up with a plan for me now!â Minna said, still seething. âI want that bitch Belinda to be taught a lesson!â
âMinnaâ¦â Macie started to say, her voice laced with caution and reluctance. âYou know as well as I do that Belinda is Mr. Clarkâs ex-wife. And these recent events only prove that Mr. Clark still cares deeply about her. We canât afford to mess with Belinda now.â
Minna sneered and dismissed Macieâs concerns, saying, âThereâs no one I canât afford to mess with. Any woman who dares to seduce my man will face the consequences. Think of a foolproof plan, and make sure everything is discreet.â Her eyes narrowed with a sinister glint. âIt would be best if you devise something that will make Mr. Clark dislike Belinda quickly.â
âMinna, I really thinkââ Macie tried to reason with her, but Minna cut her off sharply, saying, âEnough! I didnât call you for advice; I want you to come up with a solution. Donât worry.â
âIâll make sure to reward you when everything is over.â
âAll right, fine. Iâll try to think of something,â Macie replied, knowing that there was no point in further protests.
Satisfied with the response she got, Minna ended the call.
She was about to put her phone away when it rang.
