Chapter 537
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Belinda had been assaulted by a rapist? It was almost too good to be true.
She pulled out her phone and sent a text: âSpread the news about Belindaâs assault as widely as possible! The more people know, the better!â
A smug smile then spread across her face.
Whether it was true or not was irrelevant.
She just wanted this to be a permanent scar on Belinda.
Just then, a knock at the door interrupted her thoughts.
The door opened, and Verenaâs eyes narrowed with confusion.
Why was this person here?
Verena believed she and the visitor were not familiar with each other at all.
âMiss Wright, is there something you need?â Verena asked.
The visitor was Kylee.
After closing the door, Kylee approached the bedside chair and sat down, smiling at Verena. âI heard you attempted suicide by slitting your wrist, Miss Reed,â she said.
Verenaâs brow furrowed. âIs that why youâre here, Miss Wright?â
âDo you think your drastic action will bring Mr. Clark back to you?â Kylee asked.
Verenaâs expression darkened. âYou need to leave now!â
âDonât be upset, Miss Reed.â Kylee chuckled. âIâm not here to mock you. Iâm here to suggest we team up.â
âYou want us to team up?â Verena laughed. âYou must be joking. I see no reason for us to team up.â
âOh, there is. You want to win back Mr. Clark,â Kyleeâs eyes narrowed, a hint of malice flashing within them, âI simply want to see Belinda suffer. That would bring me great joy.â
Kylee was alone and weak in this.
Dealing with Belinda had already been difficult for her.
Yet now, Lucas seemed utterly captivated by Belinda.
Even after the divorce, he treated Belinda better and supported her.
Since Belinda had Lucasâ support, Kylee believed taking action against Belinda was nearly impossible.
She knew she needed someone to divert Lucasâ attention.
Her ultimate goal was to utterly destroy Belinda, making sure she could never recover.
As for Lucas, she wouldnât give up on him.
Once Belinda was dealt with, she could take her time dealing with Verena.
Time would tell who the better strategist was.
Verenaâs eyebrows twitched when she heard that.
Why did Kylee harbor such intense hatred for Belinda? Though, she supposed, resentment between a legitimate daughter and a child born out of wedlock wasnât unusual.
Verena sneered and said, âI do want to win back Lucas, but I donât think I need to team up with you. Weâre practically strangers, Miss Wright.â
