Chapter 518
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Kylee appeared taken aback. Hadnât Belinda and Lucas divorced? Why was Lucas still defending Belinda like that?
Lyle seemed puzzled. âLucas, correct me if Iâm wrong, but you and Belinda are divorced, right?â he asked.
Lucasâs expression didnât change, his voice resolute. âSo what? Divorced or not, she is still mine! Or did you think you could bully her just because she and I arenât together anymore?â
Lyleâs frustration was evident. âI am not bullying her. Just look at what she did to Kyleeâs face! Whoâs the real bully?â
Lucas didnât even look at Kylee, her battered face of no concern to him.
âThen she deserved it!â Lucas retorted sharply. âBeing hit by Belinda was an honor for her.â
He then turned to Belinda, parting his lips slightly as he said, âDid you enjoy it? If you want to hit her again, go ahead. No one will dare stop you when Iâm here.â His gaze was icy as he glanced at Lyle and Kylee, his demeanor threatening.
The room fell silent.
Everyone was taken aback by Lucasâs brazen and irrational stance.
Belinda felt a stir in her heart but quickly masked it, maintaining an indifferent demeanor.
Lyle stared at Lucas, disbelief written across his face. âLucas, have you lost your senses? You are not being rational here!â he said.
Kylee looked at Lucas, her emotions a tumult of anger and jealousy.
She knew Belinda and Lucas were no longer together. Why was Lucas still defending Belinda so fiercely?
Lucas smirked, his smile confident. âIâve always been irrational when it comes to those I care about. I stand by my people, not the facts. If you donât know that, you really donât know me at all.â
At that moment, Johnson couldnât suppress a smile and chimed in, âLucas, Belinda says Kylee hit herself and then tried to frame her.â
Upon hearing that, Lucas let out a cold chuckle, his tone sharp. âIn that case, Kylee deserves to be hit even more.â
Belinda rose calmly from her chair and said to Lucas, âThank you for defending me, Mr. Clark. But weâre already divorced. I have nothing to do with you now. Please, donât refer to me as your woman in the future. I want to avoid any misunderstandings.â
Lucasâs face tensed slightly.
Bethany silently cheered Belindaâs forthrightness, giving her a thumbs-up in her heart.
Belinda then turned to Lyle. âWhether you believe me or Kylee doesnât really matter to me. What I do mind, however, is being wrongly accused.â
She then took out her phone and tapped it a few times.
Soon after, a voice resonated from the speaker.
âGuess who Iâm having lunch with?â
At the sound of that unmistakable voice, Kyleeâs face instantly drained of color.
