Chapter 458
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Belinda is exceptional.
The Thomas family is already arranging blind dates for her, so I thought, why not set her up with your son? Devin is a great guy.
If you are on board, Iâll arrange for Devin and Belinda to meet each other.
If youâre not comfortable with the idea, we can just pretend that I never brought this up.â
There was a long silence on Nigelâs end before he sighed and replied, âYou really do like your former daughter-in-law, donât you? Iâve never heard of a person playing matchmaker for his ex-daughter-in-law before.â
âI just think this is a great opportunity,â Harold said, unbothered. âBelinda deserves the best. My son doesnât deserve her.â
Nigel hesitated for a moment before responding, âLet me think about this. Iâll get back to you soon.â
âAlright.â Harold ended the call and set his phone down.
No sooner had he done so than Lucasâ voice exploded in the car. âDad, have you lost your mind? Youâre trying to set Belinda up with someone? Why?â
Harold turned to look at Lucas, his expression calm and resolute. âYou and Belinda are already divorced. So why canât I do that?â he said.
âBut this⦠Itâs ridiculous! Belinda used to be your daughter-in-law!â Lucas said through gritted teeth.
âSo what? Consider it a new life experience then, courtesy of your father,â Harold shot back without missing a beat.
Lucas was momentarily speechless, his face darkening further.
He took a long, measured breath and said nothing more, restarting the car.
The rest of the drive was silent.
Lucasâ simmering anger was almost tangible, his presence cold and oppressive.
In the back seat, Harold watched Lucas with mild amusement, a smirk tugging at his lips.
Now, Lucas felt angry? He was unable to accept this?
This served him right!
Where was all this anger when it actually mattered? Now, it was too late!
When the car arrived at the Clark familyâs house, Lucas didnât even get out of the car.
The moment Harold stepped out, Lucas turned the vehicle around and sped off without a word.
Watching the car disappear, Harold snorted.
With his cane in hand, he made his way slowly into the house.
At the Dream Club, in Lucasâ exclusive private room, Vincent nearly choked on his drink, sputtering as he tried to process what Lucas had just said.
