Chapter 398
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Belindaâs and Bethanyâs attention shifted in the direction Johnson indicated.
At a booth not far off, three middle-aged women were seated. One of them was obviously harassing a young man. The young man, likely in his late teens and perhaps a university student, was notably attractive, sporting a polite and cultured look. The woman beside him was inappropriately touching his thigh and trying to slip her other hand under his shirt.
Visibly embarrassed, the young manâs cheeks flushed red as he attempted to remove her hands and even tried to stand up and leave, but the woman persistently clung to him. To escalate the situation further, the woman even pulled out a stack of cash from her purse and laid it before the young man. Yet, the young manâs expression remained one of dismay and anger.
âThere goes Felice, always targeting young men,â Bethany said disdainfully.
âWho is that?â Belinda questioned.
âThat woman is the chairmanâs wife from the Jimenez Group. She leads a pretty scandalous life. She has a particular taste for young, handsome men. Once she decides she wants someone, she is relentless in pursuing them. Quite a few youthful guys have been harassed by her before,â Bethany explained.
Belindaâs usually bright and lovely face clouded over with a hint of repulsion when she heard that.
Suddenly, someone shouted, âYou shameless woman! How dare you betray me!â
Belinda and the group looked toward the commotion.
They saw a middle-aged man with thinning hair and a pot belly charging at the woman, Felice Jimenez, his hand lifted as if he were ready to hit her.
The best stories are at gⱯlnÏνððsâ¤ððð Felice, stricken with fear, turned ghostly white and hurriedly tried to defend herself, saying, âDarling! Wait, let me explain! It wasnât my intention to be unfaithfulâit was him! He tried to seduce me just now! Despite telling him I was married, he didnât stop. Itâs truly not my fault!â
The young man, clearly incensed, retorted, âThatâs absurd! I didnât come here to seduce anyone! Iâm just here to sell wine, and you wouldnât stop pestering me.â
Felice glared at the young man and replied, âYou are lying! I already have a husband. Why would I do that to him?â She then turned to her husband. âDear, donât listen to him. I would never cheat on you!â
âYes, Mr. Jimenez, you can trust Felice. She would never be unfaithful! This man came up to her asking for money and deliberately attempted to seduce her!â
âFelice is completely devoted to you!â
A group of Feliceâs friends quickly supported her, fervently shifting the blame onto the young man.
âYou are all telling lies! Iâm innocent!â The young man, both enraged and bewildered, was astounded by their audacity.
He turned to the group at the next table and said, âCan anyone help me out here? Tell them I did not attempt to seduce her!â
âI saw nothing. I donât know what happened.â
âI didnât see anything, either!â The onlookers either remained silent or flatly refused to acknowledge witnessing anything. Ultimately, no one came forward to help the young man.
When Belinda saw the young manâs desperate expression, she furrowed her brow in empathy. She knew all too well the pain of being falsely accused and left without support. Narrowing her eyes, Belinda stood up and approached the booth.
